Discontinued The Persei Vaporizer for herbs and concentrates.

Whats up everyone, I bought my first vaporizer about 6 months ago (FM Vapormax) and have been enjoying it ever since. Now I'm looking into buying a vaporizer for concentrates and I'm really interested in the Persei with the Hercules SR attachment.

I currently take dabs off my rig at home and I use a mini G pen (oval style pen) when I'm on the go for concentrates. I love taking dabs off my rig but I don't like the mini G pen. Will the hits and highs from a Persei be up to par with dabs off a rig?

I don't want to deal with having to buy cartridges or rebuilding them that is why I also want the Hercules SR attachment. Am I going in the right direction purchasing these two?

Comparing the Persei and hurc to a rig is tough. They will be different, just like a Gpen is different. The way the Persei comes, with the kiss carts, is very similar to the Gpen. It's bigger, but more versatile, and better flavor, imo. When coupled with the herc, it is amazing. The flavor, imo, is better then any other pen, rig, or anything else I've tasted. Being able to pack over a half gram at a time is really nice. Isn't the stealthiness of portables and the learning curve is a bit discouraging, but overall the pros, by far, out way the cons. Another huge plus with the herc, like you mention, is not having to deal with buying new carts all the time. Environmentally friendly and pays for itself over time.

Hey Thc, I have a pretty big problem with my 8 somehow the button housing(the old version) melted on me. I was using the herc and i noticed the button just sinking in and it has gotten a little difficult to use. I have never claimed my new button yet is it possible to still receive one? I have a order number

The persei is my 1st oil vaporizer. Im new to concentrates and never dabbed of a nail. I tried the kiss and the herc. While the kiss needs no tech to draw, it needs to be scraped and reloaded on the coil if you put more than a dab. With patience and practice, the herc allows you to get more constant size-on-demand clouds without maintenance between hits, and sessions.

The Hercules/Persei is a great combo. That said there is a good deal of learning curve and maintenance involved. Do not be discouraged it is worth it!
I wont, the learning curve sounds like fun if anything.

Thanks, this helps out a lot. I was wondering how the flavor compares to a rig.

What is the difference between the sr71 and the sr74?

The flavor is subjectively almost as good, as good, or better than a nail. I think it's a little better...

The -71 is an older, higher powered model. It's a little harder to use and maintain, but is reliable as heck once mastered. Requires some button modulation for best flavor. The -74 is the newer model. It has some spring loaded parts to make assembly and maintenance easier, and lower power (less heat) making it easier to use, you can hold the button down for huge rips and never burn your oil.

minimum recommended voltage for the hercules with the white rod?

You don't get much cloud production below 6.5v with that rod & I've cranked it up to 8.4v with no issues. So my recommendation would be something within that range. I personally prefer 6.8v (decent clouds, incredible flavor). This is all assuming you have a variable voltage power supply. If you don't, stick with 7.4v IMO.

The Persei/Herc/Nibbler fits nicely on a microphone stand! Since it's on the Core, I only have to take it off to add shatter. Low maintenance, and less likely for me to break...

Would the Core allow, let's say...a Minicron Lite to run a SR74x?

That'd be pretty clutch, but you'd likely kill the Minicron (considering you could get it running). The Core wouldn't help you accomplish that anyways as it's basically a variable voltage plug in power supply.

@THC SCIENTIFIC Is there any way I can buy another accent ring? The gap bothers me when I use the core & I'm too lazy to switch it every time.

i have two questions:

1) I have the core. Why are there two different bases if I can adjust the voltage for both? I asked samuraisam and he said I needed the omicron top for the smaller, while using the Persei for the bigger base. Is it because the omicron top has voltage limits? Can't I use the Persei top and hit any voltage on the core? I just play around between the standard 3.7 and 7.4.

2) w9tech. When are you going to update your website with some new inventory? I really want the nibbler for my herc. Also, That pen vaporizer with kiss cart is awesome for discretion. I open your website everyday hoping for something new to pop up.

I am a happy man because the hercules seemed so complicated in the forum but was much easier with the help of the FC community and YouTube videos of Gary assembling. Where do you go from the hercules? I can't see any improvements. I hope you put some money into marketing. Your product is the best in the oil game, but you need some major website development. I can spread the word about your products but would like to tell them to just visit the website (but I don't because it is not too "sexy" I bought the puffco pro pen for no reason. I had VAS and the website made it really appealing. Consumers are stupid, just like me.

The two bases included with The Core are for use with the Persei and Omicron. The larger is obviously for the Persei. As for the voltages, AFIK, as long as the Serial number of the Omicron includes "HVD" then it can do any voltage that the Persei can do. Both have the "dead battery, dead zones". My Double Top has no voltage limiting.

Is the Okeanos that is in stock the most current revision?
Any plans on revising it soon if it is not?

I saw the most recent version in my local head shop and the difference is night and day. It's even heftier with a nice splash guard and better orings in all of the right places. May have to purchase one soon. I had the original but it had way too many issues. This looks like a huge step up.

Says in stock... but i dont wanna pay extra and worry about the distance shipping. W9 is just down the coast a bit.

Plus with how much i like the hammer rod im pretty much committed to getting the core first...

Been messing with my Herc for damn near 3 hours after it quit on me mid session. Pretty sure my $300+ setup is out of commission because $9 center pin finally stopped working ... just when i got the thing running again smh. Back to kiss carts until I can justify the shipping i guess... Fuck

No clue what I did yesterday
Alright, so far I have placed 2 orders with w9tech. I have also received 24 e-mails from them since then. Mostly asking repeatedly for reviews or questions to be answered. And they come slowly over time. I'm expecting more to come, but in my spam folder from now on.

The only thing I can say to that is: WTF?

Is it the 90s or what's going on? That's not how you do email these days..

It also seems that any reviews below 3 stars don't get published on the w9tech website. I mean I love my persei, hercules, kiss and globe, but certainly some people don't. Often you see people here reporting various problems with their systems. Had I had some of those problems I'd be pissed. There is always at least 1 bad review. Someone please point to one or a few 1 or 2 star reviews on that website, cause I couldn't find any.

The short answer is: yes. Nothing compares to ripping a dab off a good Ti nail in terms of volume of vapor. The hercules tastes better, and it gives bigger rips for a portable pen than anything else I've seen.
