@VaPeD&CoNfUsEd and @DieHard I hope that yours show up soon and safe.

@cybrguy I am glad to hear that you got a replacement worked out without having to make any more purchases.

To anyone concerned about Steven packaging: I believe that it was not bad but could be improved. He is a lot better than Cory shipping in padded envelops but he is not quite on the level of sunshinestore. I have spoken with Steven about improving his packing to the level of sunshinestore. He said that he would speak with the warehouse and make the appropriate changes

Bubblewrap is dirt cheap. About 25¢ a foot retail from Staples, I would be shocked if it cost more than 4¢ or 5¢/ft wholesale in China, where it is made. It weighs very little. Sunshine store definitely has it right, it cost little to overuse it, especially compared to replacing glass. Ecological considerations are unlikely to be a factor for these vendors.

Sunshine is next level packaging..

I think it should be considered the standard for glass shipping, especially overseas using cheap shipping methods. It's a win for everyone when an item comes undamaged and as has been pointed out bubble wrap is cheap. A couple more sq/ft per package is pennies. I think some of these shippers just may not know that more is needed. Inexperienced shippers.

Am I the only person that hasn't received their FC-187???? Things been sitting in Jamaica New York for like 8 days. Wtf USPS?
Still waiting on mine, I expect it sometime this week since it cleared customs in Richmond, BC last Wednesday (I'm on the east coast).

@blankrider is there any chance Steven might offer other shipping options in the future? I know some other sellers offer multiple options and I wouldn't mind sometimes paying an extra $10-30 for faster transit.

I'm still waiting on mine too, but I'm on the other side of the world to you guys.

I've got nothing against better shipping options being available, but i just don't want any of the cheaper options to go away.
I'd personally much rather wait an extra week or so to save the extra $10-15...

I think its CCG that will only use shipping options that are $15-20+
Aside from their crap service, that adds almost an extra 50% to the cost depending on the item...

I was considering making an exception to my "No CCG" policy for the showerhead to honeycomb recycler when I saw it listed for $43, but then add $19 for shipping, and I'm not going anywhere near it again...

Well I've pulled the trigger on D020. Seems like you guys like this.
I am new to vaping, old school combuster, any one remember graphix bongs?
Club cabarettes rolled fat as your thumb;)?
I hope to use this with my enano. What do you all think, good choice to start.
Why spend 100$s unless you know its the style you seek?

My other 2 packages from SSS finally cleared from china into the states. The one piece I recieved was the d022 and I love it. Function is beyond amazing. One kind of crappy weld and the downstem isnt sitting completley perfect but it fires so evenely and stacks the whole can. Cant complain for like 40$ shipped. My other 2 that should be here in a few days are the d021 and 2 of the d020-d.

His package on the first arrival was insanely bomb proof.
Has anyone ordered these before?http://m.dhgate.com/product/glass-bubbler-dz-026/186595547.html#pd-019

Graphix? I was pretty much done with bongs by that point, and certainly not ready to throw down that kind of cash for one. Anyone remember TokeMaster?

OMG... HISTORY!!!

When mine broke after 30 loyal years about a decade ago I went looking for one but found nothing like it and ended up with the straight Bong that the China glass has replaced, but it it tempting to get one of these just for the grins and historical memory...

The TokeMaster (TM), later renamed the "TobaccoMaster" so it could be sold without being drug paraphernalia , was THE bong to have if you were a serious pothead in the 80's. It was either this, a ceramic bong (skulls and snakes were popular), a cheap plastic tube with the metal sleeve and rubber grommet (so ghetto!) or you could make your own from a good piece of bamboo. That was pretty much it - on the east coast anyway.

The TM was thick clear acrylic with a red acrylic downstem permanently mounted. Came with a wooden party bowl (in pic below) and a "one-hitter" (a small brass cone shaped bowl), the poker shown (small piece of coathanger) and the blue acrylic stand. After law enforcement started cracking down, the TobaccoMaster also came with a note inside stating this was "For Tobacco Use Only".

Nearly impossible to clean, and worst part was if (when) it got dropped straight down from more than 6 inches the red acrylic downstem would break inside right where it came into the main tube. Was impossible to repair, even to repair well with the separately sold "repair kit". I and others tried many ways to fix, but usually ended up just getting a new one once or twice a year. Imagine our horror when the price went over $50! This was after you drove to the nearest headshop (10 - 50 miles depending on how tight cops were being in your area that year). My how things have changed for the better!!! Sorry to post such an unrelated post here in a glass thread, but thought fun to appreciate how much things have changed and see how they do change so we can look forward to the future.

Pic of TM as sold circa 1988. Bong was clear acrylic all the way to top (which was cut to fit mouth better than clean, straight cut at top). Pic shows instructions/guide inside the tube. Sometimes these would be included just like this, sometimes not. But, once it was a TobaccoMaster, the note about only using for tobacco was ALWAYS in there.

If you really want one - to use or for nostalgia sake - they can still be had for about $70. Think most will find much more enjoyment from 2 Chinese glass pieces for the same $.

So, just got this quartz banger from Kathy:

It's honestly not that great. I got the 14mm and the joint is so poorly ground that it does not sit solidly on my rig. I don't think it's completely round. It flops back and forth on the joint and doesn't create any sort of seal at all. I've contacted kathy and requested a replacement. I'll update on how she responds.

Granted it's a nail, so despite all of it's problems it sorta works anyway. It looks and feels wonky as shit, but it's still a functional banger nail, and awesome for that. Now if I could just figure out how to cap it...

No clue what I did yesterday
to the mods: notice how it's not actually the starbucks logo, but a parody of it. that brings it under the fair use law. meaning no need to delete the pics like you did a while ago on one of my posts..

edit: I'm most certain most these dabbaccinos come from the sam factory, mine from "chinaaaron" looks 101% exactly the same

My favorite method for capping my Banger was to use a 18mm-14mm drop-in adaptor. Plugging the hole with my finger. Then I can regulate airflow with my finger.
