@cybrguy sorry to see that your 187 arrived broken. I suggest that you and anyone else who has an issue contact him in a polite manner, tell him that it arrived broken and offer a photo as evidence, thank him for producing it for FC, and ask that he send you a replacement packaged securely.
If there was anything specifically that you didn't like about your broken piece maybe ask him to hand select your replacement. Find one where the perc is closer to the bottom of the angle of the mouthpiece is slightly higher or lower.

Whip bubblers are great, I've been using this one for a little and so far it's perfect for reading/computer sitting, plus watching it fill up is just plain fun. I tried the whip in my D020 as well, with a little bit of tape to keep it in place that worked pretty well too.
Very nice. I had planned on the Atomic as my next piece for this very reason, until the FC-187 popped up.
I'd forgotten how fun it was to use a whip for MP, makes me so lazy, I can hit it from any sitting position and pass it to my SO without lifting any glass.
If your interested, I'm using these Rabbit Silicone Wine stopper with the tip cut off and the metal pushed through to allow air flow. Fits the FC better than any bubbler I've used.

@Trogdor Thanks. All my testing with the FC has left me a little.. high. I realized that there is no "factory solution" to my current predicament. Although now I think my next piece will be one with a removable mouthpiece, so I can do a whip with the GonG's you've linked. Much appreciated.
@Tweak Perfect. I'll order a few of these and setup a DIY whip rig with this guy. I also like wine, so a few more stoppers won't hurt. What size tubing are you using with these? Thanks again.

my fc-187 arrived today also.......I have to say that I love it.....its my first dh piece and only my second water pipe that ive owned....and ive never used a really high-end expensive piece,but this bitch is pretty damn sweet..... @Ratchett all of my percs are not firing either.....I think i'll mention it to Steven but im not complaining too much.....1 session with my solo on top of this bad boy and im "flying high again!!'....... @blankrider thx bro

Upon closer look, neither is mine. One side has the band fusing with the top, so its missing 5 or 6 holes. In my case it kinda works with the diffusion, like a pulsing action the Reti perc makes.

for me its perfect.....again I don't have anything to compare it to,but it fits well in my hand with my solo on top of it.....its sturdy....nice and heavy....I like the side car,i can see right down into the can....I don't have any problem with the mouthpiece,but I do have rather large lips

Yeah, this piece is made for you and your wild designs. This piece is very heavy with a wide base, so you can hang nearly anything off it an it will remain standing.
I'm a little bummed as I liked nearly everything (else) about it other than a sloppy joint. I hope he hasn't shipped all his stock...

Alright, so I hacked my mouthpiece to acceptable functionality with a standard stem with the silicone sleeve. Basically, I carefully wedged it into the mouthpiece making sure that only the sleeve made contact with the mouthpiece. This is one of the later, thicker stems. Just tested this, and hell yeah, this is a great piece.
@cybrguy this may be a fun project for your broken one if you're into that sort of thing. From your picture, it looks like you could DIY a whip to the can with some aquarium glue.

I also use this technique on several of my mini rigs, each has a short glass extention held in place with silicone to make using it more comfortable, so close to the face. It works quite well, and really doesn't look bad IMO, easy to remove for cleaning etc... I even used one of those old school flared downstems (no joint) for a slider bowl from an old bong I put a 18mm stem in its place. That works quite well as a light weight extention too. Glad you made it work for you, so you can get back to enjoying
