I hope with a newer version a V2 I would suggest that they include something that shows some sort of battery meter.

I'm shooting in the dark, it's easy to forget how many sessions you have left. I usually know I have a full 4 sessions so I go with that.

I probably have 5 sessions but don't want to run the battery down to nothing. I would also include one extra battery in the price and a longer lasting battery life if that's possible.

It would be nice if there was a full hour of battery life.

Keep calm and vape on
I have purposely stayed away from this site for months so as not to be tempted to buy new vapes. I finally come back and what happens? Within five minutes of being here I purchased an AA. Damn you FC. Also am doing the trade in for the Haze but at least it's for a good cause.

Would the Haze battery work with the AA? I don't know if I missed anything about this if discussed as I have over 500 alerts to go through.

I have a haze as well. the batteries in the haze are thicker i think than most 18650 batterys. I have box mods and mechanical mods for ecigs, and the haze batteries dont fit in any of them. So I do not think they will fit in the air.

Do any of you guys notice any smell coming from the unit itself? (Not the glass stems)
Mine doesnt smell like weed AT ALL for some reason. I am usually kinda paranoid about all this stuff. I wipe the metal chamber after each session with iso cotton swab. It actually smells kinda like when it was new and like the rubber cap covering the chamber. I also vape only on 1st and 2nd temp

You didn't mention when you received your unit? I would do a couple of burn offs on the highest temp. See if that helps. If not maybe you can contact Arizer and see what they say. Maybe you are one of handful of folks that are extra sensitive to smells.

I'm still testing my air but need some help. I'd like to put a review up soon. What would you all suggest to get some better air flow ? I have other vapes and this is the only machine that gets me out of breath , I feel like I'm pulling forever to get some vapor clouds . It is very restricted when it comes to airflow wich I can say is the 1 thing I don't enjoy so far. I like to have 0 restriction of air flow . I want to be able to pull as hard as if like , are there any stems that can do this or this just the nature of this machine ?

Can you drill a hole in the plastic mouthpiece and make it a little larger? Using no screen to worry about a clog.

Well I tried the solo stem included wich has no mouthpiece and it actually felt more restricted than the two stock short stems. I guess my next step would be to try the pvhe stems. I also took the plastic peice out of the short stem mouthpiece and just put a small screen in its place and it helped a drop but something and I'm not sure what restricts the flow. I did try pulling my stem up a drop from the heater after inserted and it helped but than my herb spills out a bit into the heating chamber. I have also tried packing loose ,medium grind , fine grind and nothing really changes it .

I like to be able to take a big draw and get a decent cloud. I feel with the tight draw I am not getting medicated enough. I have a different machine that has 0 restriction and I can take as big a hit as id like. I guess I'll have to try a few different stems out. Already ordered 1 from vaped&confused here so hoping that may help .

Mine gives the slightest smell while heating up with herb loaded. Very little while vaping and your stems will have a odor if you do not regularly clean them wich is as easy as shaking in a bit of alchohol and salt after a few sessions .

No not at all , the stems can smell a little if you don't clean them. After a few uses some resin builds up in the stem but it's as easy as what I said above , just give them a cleaning after every few uses. It barely gives off a order while in use and if outdoors vaping you prob wouldn't smell much of anything.

This is a fairly common complaint. But 'Stones just told it true. The restriction is there on purpose, after a lot or trial and error and testing, at what the maker termed 'the optimum' restriction. He surely knows how to reduce restriction, but designed that particular amount in. There is a fixed limit to how fast Solo or Air can produce vapor, dumping more cool air in not only dilutes the vapor delivered, but heating that air up (uselessly really) robs heat that would otherwise make more vapor. That means you get bigger, but less dense clouds. There's actually less THC per hit that way which ironically will interfere with 'getting medicated' in a real way.

If you have other vapes that suit your wants, I suggest you go that way rather than trying to press an otherwise excellent design into doing something it wasn't designed to do.

Regards and best wishes you find what you want.

Not as much as when it's hot, but it absolutely smells at some level. And, importantly, you might not be able to detect such low levels like a 'non partaker' might. Parents have no trouble telling if their kid sneaks a cigarette after school.......

I would not suggest counting on no smell based on design.

Thank you , I def get medicated and this vape suits me best due to its portability and replaceable batteries. I guess I am just used to no draw restriction and have to get accustomed to the air. I am away at the moment for a few days and only took the air with me , it has been two days with it and two days away from combusting. I'm feeling it works well and does the job. I will test a few of the aftermarket stems out and keep at it. Happy Holidays to all .

IMO the restriction with the Air isn't like the older model Solo restriction. It's more even with the newer improved 2014 Solo far the feeling when you draw. It doesn't bother me, I don't like too airy of a draw. Some folks may have lung problems so another vaporizer would work better.

I thought the older version Solo (pre 2014) had too tight of a draw. I felt breathless while drawing. I had to get the Planetvape mouthpieces.

I'd love to know which aftermarket stems you test and the feedback/comparisons.. please post after you get them.

Haze batteries have a PCB that regulates the discharge rate. They are too long for use in a device that is designed for unprotected batteries, as @ean confirms.

There are two things you can do to increase vapour thickness from a draw-restricted device that uses constant heat like the Air does. First, wait between hits so that vapour has a chance to build up. Second, do not hoover on it, puff it gently like a pipe.

I guess I'm getting old. These things seemed to come naturally when everyone burnt their weed. I never had to explain to anyone that you pull gently on joints and save your hoovering for bongs.

Thanks all I'm gonna try everything you said and also some new stems when I have a chance. Been doing lots of holiday shopping so I may have to wait a bit. I will for sure post results when the time comes . Also to the poster that stated to lift the stem up a drop . I tried that and it def helped but I got less vapor that way and some of my material got into the heating chamber. I think a new stem may help , something different.

Has anyone tried vaping with AA or solo upside down? Lol
I heard that would give u more convection cuz weed would not be touching hot metal. Is it worth it or just bs?
You goin' hamster mode? Yeah we do that in the Solo thread... It won't give you more convection per se, but it will make the first hit melt the trichomes/resin in the load and kinda glue it together. Seems to be a popular way to get the material secured in the stem and then invert and it won't drop. Most people don't care about little bits of flower falling into the oven. I don't like it personally, so when I use it dry (on the go usually) I pack my stems as normal, and then add a secondary screen on top of the flower to keep it in place. All it does is save me any weird taste from material falling onto the oven. It won't combust it though.

I don't have a Solo or AA, but just curious why Arizer did not invent some type of encapsulation for herb like an ELB or a PnP Bullet? Loose herb into a hot oven plate seems an oversight and a lost revenue source for add'l accessories.
