The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

Absolutely love my volcano and so excited when these were released.

How is it for small loads (0.05-0.1g)? I know you need to use metal insert but would love to hear from owners....

As long as you have enough herb to cover the screen, you're in business, man. The pad keeps it snug in the chamber and gives you the same vapor as a full pack, it just won't go for nearly as long.

I've been waiting since Tuesday for a reply from S&B. Kinda frustrating but its still working like a charm. Just wish I knew how much battery i had left

I am getting a response from them by email that does not answer any question that I asked after 4 days now.

I don't know what has happened to Storz and Bickel but they are definitely not the company that I had grown to trust any more.

Maybe it's a bit understandable being that they entered a part of the market (the portable market) that they have had no experience in with portable vaporizers that they have had no experience in manufacturing before, so now, not only do they have to deal with the headaches of growing pains that happens with every new product, it is also the Christmas season, which adds to the workload even more.

I remember back when the S&B portables were first introduced and I stated that people need to be aware of the ticket that will need to be paid by being an early adopter and that this happens regardless of the product or the company. I got a few responses back stating that they have full faith in S&B because of their long standing track record and that they are not concerned with any potential growing pains that the vaporizer will go through thereby expecting it to perform as a well as a matured product that has been on the market for awhile.

The fact is that there is ALWAYS a gamble in being the first one on your block to own something and if you go into this with your eyes wide open knowing this, it's a bit easier to roll with the punches until things get ironed out and with S&B's longstanding reputation in the market place along with their relatively huge base of customers, I feel pretty confident that things WILL get ironed out.

I don't want any jinx effect or bad vibes, but I have spent about 1500 bux on vaporizers in the past 2 years ( G pen with G coil, arizer solo and extreme q. I bought a davinci ascent and returned that immediately, I have my solo and extreme q as backup only now). This mighty is the best purchase I have made. It extracts way better and the design is super nice IMO. Mine is working exactly as advertised.

lwien is absolutely right: it is a gamble to buy new technology, but it is a gamble I'm willing to take. I derive enjoyment at playing with new toys. I realize some will/have been turkeys. You'd think I'd learn, but I haven't. I have a million ways to rationalize why it's OK. The Winningest: it's not causing me to miss any meals, even though fewer meals probably would be the best thing for me.

Yes new tech is a gamble, I have the nexus 5 first run, my speaker had issues, but as macbil said I didn't lose any meals over it. With this mighty it feels as though they did a lot of r and d before releasing, relatively speaking. I know I am very impressed with how well this product works.

I, too, am very happy with the Mighty. I got lucky and got a unit that's working like a charm. The only thing I have been careful with, and I have no idea if this is significant or not, is I plug the unit into the charger then plug the charger into the wall: I unplug the charger when finished charging from the wall and then disengage the Mighty from the charger PER THE MANUAL INSTRUCTIONS. It's surely a superstition, but it's working for me.

Additionally, I have removed the screen in the "Air Cooling Chamber", or mouthpiece, and I just put a fine screen over the load. It really keeps the mouthpiece free of herb dust.

I'm MIGHTY happy with mine! No issues here.

Only thing I notice is when I'm outside a lot working n whatnot and the unit gets cold (45 degrees Fahrenheit or less) and I run it I lose a bar or two off my battery. I completely get why and it's not a defect just a heads up.

I also keep the charger plugged in all the time. It makes a slight buzzing noise which goes away when you plug Mighty in.

Yes, and I took caution because of you and other wise grey hairs.

Fact is this vape is a stone cold bad ass mother fucker.

The mighty/crafty handles whatever I put in front of it and it vapes it well.

I see a vape off. 5 devices, 5 people, 5g of same strain, go.

That fine mesh screen works well to keep the dust out but it gets dirty quick! What I did was remove the original cooling unit screen and replaced with the fine mesh. Works great on full bowls, smaller loads get the oilpad pack. Reclaim is about 99% oil :)

Just got a response from them..

thank you for your message.

I have to ask you for a little bit more patience. Of course I know how annoying it must be but our technicians said they are working on it under intense pressure and right now it looks like this will be solved in the middle of January 2015.

Your business is very important to us. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

May I ask if you own any S&B products?

@majher sounds like you gave them a piece of your mind judging by Nicoles reply. I know her btw and she is a sweetheart. Dude its Christmas they are busy, they are still the same company. Chill. :)

That sucks. Nicole told me last night that my replacement "should" be fixed. I just wish they would tell us the truth and stop telling different people different stories. Being stuffed around this much is not fun.

I have been without my new $500 vape for far too long now and it looks like I'll have to return the replacement unit as well as the problem hasn't been resolved. That means I wasted $500 on a vape I can't use while the company lies to me about the resolution.

I bought the unit specifically to use on a holiday where the vape broke down. I am seriously disappointed in Storz and Bickel. They have really let me down. It's really annoying that another purchaser was given a replacement unit to use in their downtime while others aren't. They obviously have a problem and have now admitted it. I feel they need to do something more to help disgruntled customers.
