What updates, if any, have been made to the PA in the transition from the beta unit to the full retail?

They added an engraving to the metal casing that indicates + and - so you don't have to do as much guess work. Also the metal used has changed from a bronze type metal to a now stainless steel looking metal. I am only basing this on a picture posted many pages back. Still, some new pictures would be nice.

I just realized that my mflb is missing the rubber ring that runs around the screen. I have an older version, I believe 1st gen and at the time they didn't come with one. Any clue on how to get one? I also used my whip this weekend with a water pipe...I found a cork that fit the bowl perfectly...used a wooden dowel as a guide and drilled a hole right through. The stem on the whip fit perfectly in and was able to get some strong MFLB MILK! I was on my ass!

Ill post some pics soon.

:peace:

That O-ring requires special equipment to put it in place, and can't be retro-fitted.

The Oring also was an afterthought as an added layer of protection to retain the screen. It does not affect function in any way, and they will replace any broken unit.(and the new one will have the Oring)
just use the unit and have fun!

Incredible. Nice job on this, guys. Beautiful in its simplicity. Thanks for making this.

Just got the power adapter tonight and after a couple trenches I can definitely say this is the best way to use the MFLB. Not only can you adjust the temperature, it stays steady the entire time (unlike when using a rechargeable battery that is running low) and the ability to simply push a button is so much more convenient than pushing in a hot battery. Amazing job and this will keep my rechargeable batteries lasting longer for times when I'll be out and about.

If the PA is completely our of Beta, why is it not on the Blissville site?

For those who have been asking, the PA units that are being shipped at this point are basically production units. We have not finished setting up the purchasing system for them, so things have been delayed there a bit. Should be fairly soon now to get that done.

It is a Blissville owned site, just for the PA. I lost the link, and it is here in this thread but I can not find it. Perhaps one of you "memory Kings" out there will remember the link to the PA and repost it here now, or point us back to the post it was in!

Thanks fella's for the info on the O-ring. Ordering my PA today...from what I've read it should be sweet.

Hello all. First time post and looking for some advice.
I've had the MFLB for a while now (love it) and I'm considering getting the power adapter.
Does it come with a lifetime warranty?
Also, will be using it in the UK which means mains electricity will be 240V and 50Hz (thinks that's right). Saw on vaporpedia that I will need a prong adapter. Does anyone know how much these cost and if they're easy to find? Further, will i need one of these prong adapters and another adapter that will then make allow a plug in to a 3 pin wall point (as in the UK). If so, will this cause problems in reduction of power etc?
Hope I've made sense here with my questions.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi,

It seems like that particular rep was being delightfully minimalist in their explanation of our warranty policy regarding the PA. All Beta PA units are currently under a functional warranty, however, there is as yet no specific _official_limit_ on the duration beta PA warranty. Eventually (we do not know yet), we *may* need to set limits on the duration (or other specifics) regarding warranty for the Beta PA units, but have not done so yet, and have no immediate plans to do so. Part of the reason for doing a Beta is to learn what is right in this regard. As mentioned before, it is likely that we will have it be a lifetime warranty on the PA units -- at least as long as it is possible for us to make them, given available parts and supplies. This factor has yet to be determined -- hence the lack of "specifics".

Therefore, if you have a PA unit, and for some reason it is not working properly, please send it back to us so that we can issue a new/repaired and known to be functional PA unit. This replacement warranty will not change for at least years. As with the Box itself, there are certain standard exclusions: units which have been lost or stolen, units which have been deliberately damaged, etc. Also, in some circumstances (international, etc.) some shipping charges may apply.

If there are questions, please ask.

It works fine in the UK. It's just a 12v 1250mAh transformer (110-240v). MF provide one with the PA, but you could easily and cheaply buy one with a UK wall plug (3-5).

Or, as MF will be selling you the transformer anyway (no choice, yet), you can easily buy a US-UK adaptor (1-2, ebay, amazon, poundland) which is what I did. Not quite as sleek as just a UK transformer, but I don't look at it and don't care.

on the plastic 'window".. only before the first "pull".
same here sometimes in the 2nd one too.

+1

or what I like to do (with the PA) is to use the "sip a teacup" technique with 2-3 seconds between each sip WHILE shaking the box. I can usually see the vapor throughout the whole trench this way.
