Nope. The 187 has more volume, it is just skinnier. The -D is wider, but shorter.

I have a solo and I am patiently waiting for this very piece. I bought it from the sunshine store on 12/7 - I know it has been shipped. I hope to get it soon but in the mean time I'm using my solo w my nice little recyler bong and with a PV adapter it works pretty well. But I want a small water tool as well to make her portable and for travel and I chose DO20. I'm still pretty upset that my evo side circ broke as I tried to unstick my brand new Ed Wood adapter that I was using to pair with the solo ; that was an expensive peice. But at least I have the adapter.
I love the solo aka BB and I llove her with just the stem but I really want the filtration for my throat. So I can't wait for that bubbler. I'm leaving town next weekend and I hope to have by then. It's my first time ordering from DH Gate As far as portables go I have forgotten about the pax.
And as much as I love BB nothing beats her older brothers doughboy and the exhale beast. They are just too big and bad . And they are truly perfect together. They are my go to unit; it's unfair to compare the 2 because a desktop will generally be a stronger vape than a portable. The solo is really the mini version of the exhale . That's why I love her. Everyone still wants some bubbles!!!

The PV adapter is very good. I just got a solo and I've been using it a lot, the ED Wood is also good but I like the PV because you can how much is left in the bowl.

It's basically unusable without inhaling water...
Basically once you have enough water in there to get it to perc (not even fully covering the perc), it'll splash straight up the mouthpiece.
I have that 2nd one from Steven, I love it.
It is a pretty small piece, but you've just inspired me to rock it as my dabbing rig tonight

Already promised my wife I'd boot my D020-W to the curb when the FC187 arrives. I can't handle the phallic mouthpiece comments all the damn time from her and her girlfriends!

Would LOVE to see a video of the second one man, I have actually heard of people complaining about the first one from a few different glassblowers (Krave Glass apparently does the same) so I just wanted confirmation NOT to get it basically because it looks so nice, love the fat can. Definitely wanna see the second one in action if you can though!!!

Original frit perc was in a very large tube because it stacks so much, so im guessing its used as a splash guard

If you look closely at that pic, you can see the GB-187 is more intricate, basically because it has more slits.
The d-020-d got an upgrade recently, it's perc looks much closer to the GB-187.
The main difference I can think of now is that the GB-187 has 2 bands inside the matrix vs the d-020-d which only has 1.
So each slit is broken up into 2 holes in the d-020-d, and each slit is broken up into 3 holes on the GB-187.

Where can I find the D-020-W? That looks pretty nice - although the perc doesn't look that complex. But The fact that it's a sidecar is cool. Closest I can find is this but that's not the right one... although the one I linked does look pretty sweet.

I have the d-020-w and am not a fan at all.
It's got a closed mouthpiece, with a very small hole, which adds noticeable drag.
Kinda the exact opposite thing you want on a matrix rig.
The FC-187 sounds like it should be what you're after - the perc and can setup of the GB-187, but with a sidecar neck and open mouthpiece
