I don't see anything

I just bought an Arizer Extreme Q vaporizer and I'm new to vaping. I used this vaporizer for the first time yesterday and I didn't see any vapor when I was taking my draws. Most of my draws came up empty but a few minutes later, I started to feel the affects of my herbs. I mean, I REALLY felt it. But I still felt like I was doing it wrong just because I didn't see much, if any, vapor. Am I suppose to see anything? I've watched a couple of tutorials on YouTube and I'm doing everything right, I just don't see anything.

I am who I am and your approval isn't needed!
Try a different strain to make sure its not strain related (wouldn't be the first time it happens).
Let your 'goods' dry out a little more than you 'think' it should be (many many times it's the reason for disappointing clouds).
Try different grind consistencies... different devices often need different grinds, as do different strains.
Try minor tamping the load down, and/or try 'less' tamping than what you've done to date.
Try using slightly less in your load, or try slightly more.
Try different temperature ranges.

Soooo many things to affect what one is looking for in their vaping experience, and each one (change) you make changes the whole game in another effect you desire or not.

Keep 'playing' ! It's only been since yesterday... You WILL find what works best... eventually ;)

Welcome!

Lol, there's a lot to learn about how to use your vape to the maximum extent possible on this site.

But don't be fooled by "cloud chasing" - you don't need big clouds to get medicated!

Also you may be getting more vapor than you think! Try using a bright LED light to illuminate the vapor path or your exhaled breath - you may see vapor you can't see otherwise!

Another thing that makes a difference is temperature - lower temps have different medicating effects, but they don't produce as much visible vapor.

At the end of the day, as long as you get medicated, does it really matter?

Did you put your herb in the cyclone bowl? If so next time put it in the dome screen upside down above the cyclone bowl. What temp are you using?

Thanks! I'm gonna try to dry it out more. I have a feeling that might be it.

I think the clouds just reassures me that I'm doing it right. But yeah, honestly, if I feel the affects then I'm not too worried about it.

At first it was around 300F. Then I moved the temp up to around 400F. And thanks, I'm gonna try that method too.

vapor, especially at low temps, can be very faint. It's not like smoke at all. Even though you don't see smoke you're still getting the THC

It has always seemed to me that the more vapor you see on exhale, the less you are absorbing. It isn't doing anything for you if it is being exhaled. So, huge clouds being inhaled will just be more wasteful. Only so much CAN be absorbed. I don't really understand why that isn't obvious to everyone.

I must be missing something...

I don't think you're missing anything. The vapor you inhale is pretty much stuff you want in your body, compared to smoking, where a lot of the stuff you suck into your lungs isn't very beneficial. I understand that some people like exhaling clouds for visual evidence that their vaporizer is functioning efficiently and they're hitting it right. I find that at low temps the vapor I exhale is so faint you can barely see it. But those are the hits I cherish most.
