Agreed!

Both ways work great! but I would have to do comparisons to see which one would be more efficient, as at the beginning I thought that with the elmomuzz (E) mod, the crafty might not be able to follow the new unrestricted air path demand but it does not appear so, Its actually do a Fantastic job!

Bottom line I prefer the E mod, so versatile and hand free (I know that in my vid I show the Crafty hanging from the glass adapter but not sure if in the long run it is best!!

Also with the E mod since the Crafty weights next to nothing, the risks of tipping your bubbler over is slim!

I use both method, the E mod for complete EVO experience and the Ground glass adapter (from Arizer or others )to finish a bowl I started without a bubbler but never so keen to finish those bowls when as when I run the last hits in a bubbler, it just is so much smoother for me.

So if you're a little crafty;) go with the Emod if not the easiest way remains the Glass adapter option as there is nothing to do, just use it full stop.

But as said before soon hopefully we'll also have the Ratchett option...

Maybe this has been mentioned before but I can't remember. I just realized that the Bluetooth stays on while you're charging. It's a small thing but it's great to be able to store Crafty in an inconspicuous spot to charge and use the app to keep an eye on the charge status.

Well done, S&B.

The E mod definitely seems like the choice I want to go with. Much cleaner and official looking. Thanks for all the help by the way. Can you possibly send me a link of what I need to buy to make the E mod work? I take it that I need to buy a seperate cooling chamber and attach a glass stem to the mouthpiece connection? Seems simple enough for me UNTIL I read on the link you sent that the guy used JB WELD or something like that. I don't wanna do anything too hard or technical so if you can give me some Step by step instructions on how to do it that would be greatly appreciated since im a real noob wit this stuff

Does the Bluetooth stay on automatically when vaping the crafty? Like how do you enable or disable the Bluetooth? I can imagine that being not so healthy to have constant radiation at our heads when vaping in the crafty like a Bluetooth headset does to us. Can anyone confirm how the Bluetooth is disabled?

I don't see anything in the app that supports turning off Bluetooth.

Hi, everybody!

Can anyone recommend a Canadian (online) retailer?

I know that I could order directly from SB (US), but if I can buy the Crafty in Canadian currency, it will represent a significant savings over purchasing in US $.

I know that there are a number of options. I'm just wondering if one is better than another, or if certain ones are to be avoided. Thanks for your help!

This is what I got from my most recent Crafty cooling unit/oil pad cleaning. Its pretty amazin imo. Once I scraped it up I didn't weigh it but I probably got about 10 nice dabs from it. Taste was nice and the effects strong. A very nice little bonus imo :)

Another couple of questions from the Canuck . . .

First some background:

The only vape I've ever owned is the Pax. I've had it since September, 2012. It converted me to vaping for sure, as I have not combusted since I owned it. I chose it above others because my #1 priority is stealth. For me, my vape has to be small (pocketable) and discreet.

My biggest gripes about the Pax are the high maintenance factor, and the low efficiency. This thing requires a lot of cleaning to keep it going, and the cleaning isn't terribly easy either, as you can't really get down into the outside of the vapor tube, where all the gunk tends to collect. There's also the mouthpiece lube. Oy.

On the other hand, it totally satisfies my need for stealth, and I've found it to be very reliable, as long as I keep the up the required cleanings. Ease of use is another strength that I appreciate.

It also seems to use more flowers than it should. This hasn't been a deal breaker for me, since I'm a pretty light user. I typically only have one session in a day, and only 2-3 sessions per week, and a single session (for me) only constitutes 2-3 hits. My use is a little heavier if I'm on holidays or something, but I can't remember the last time I had more than 3 sessions in a day.

So, I've been on the lookout for a replacement for the Pax that matches it in terms of stealth, and size, but requires less maintenance, and is more efficient. I also want something with high build-quality, that is reliable and easy to use.

I think I may have found the answer in the Crafty. I'm an iPhone user, so the use of the app for changing the settings is not an issue for me. The only other drawback seems to be battery life, but that is a non-issue for me as well, as I am already accustomed to charging my Pax every 2-3 sessions. The way I use it, I can't imagine ever being stuck in a position where I would kill the battery of the Crafty before having a chance to charge it.

I've read this whole thread over the last couple of days, and am getting pretty serious about purchasing a Crafty.

The maintenance of this vape has been covered very well.

I haven't seen very many direct comparisons of the Pax and the Crafty. So, for anyone out there who has owned both, I would very much like to hear your comparison of the two. I'm interested in all observations you may have, but I am particularly interested in a comparison of the Crafty's efficiency as compared to that of the Pax. Does it get you just as high, just as often, while using up less of your stash than the Pax does?

Thanks!

IMO the Crafty destroys the Pax in every category except stealth. But the Crafty is small, pocketable and stealthy enough imo. I think you would find the Crafty more efficient and much easier to maintain.

When something better comes around and all we do
is gush about how much better the crafty is from every other portable we've tried-its not misplaced passion

Something better? Or something better for YOU? Because something better for YOU might be misplaced passion if you're just calling it better in general.

and I assure you that when something comes along better than the crafty I'll be bitch slapping S&B.

Some people on FC might find it disagreeable that you would "bitch slap" a product that you seem to have so much love for, the moment something "better" comes along.

Let's see if they dethrone themselves!

Well, if people are going to bitch slap their product the moment something "better" comes along, I suppose they will be dethroned, but doubtfully by themselves.

Hey guys I've been loving the crafty but have been having trouble taking the cooling chamber apart. I take out the straw piece and slide the middle plate to the "off position" but I am unable to get the plate off. I'm worried about breaking it and can't find any cleaning videos online. Does anyone having any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I saw nothing in the manual about cleaning the main bowl part of the crafty. Do you only need to cleaning to cooling chamber?

The bowl I only wipe out and occasionally do a dry burn off, I have not needed to mess with the screen at all yet.

The cooling chamber can get pretty sticky so a warm up sometimes in necessary before taking it apart.

When you slide the top plate towards the mouth piece you can press down on the oval nub there with the tip of your thumb while holding the sides of the cooling unit. I find this makes it easy to get the parts to seperate easily.

I have every concern you have about stealth, efficiency, etc.

I just sold my Firefly because of the crafty.

I took a full crafty chambers worth of herb and put in the the pax and it filled 3/4 chamber on the pax. Long story short is the crafty extracts the material far better far longer with far better taste. I'm convinced at this point that the pax is wasting medicine in comparison.

While there form factors are different I find the crafty equally stealthy in almost every way I do with the pax. In short I think the Crafty is a pax killer. So much so I think I might buy a back up CRAFTY!

(Oh and in case it isn't obvious everything I write is of course MY OPINION and SUBJECTIVE. Apparently some think when an opinion is shared here it is a requirement to clarify that you aren't making OBJECTIVE statements. Neophyte philosophers feel highly empowered when they first understand the difference between subjective truth claims and objective. They like to call foul and put themselves in a seat of authority to control a little part of the world they can however immature and childish they sound)

mod note: Edited to remove reference to selling. Please review the rules concerning Classifieds. Thanks for your cooperation.

After I slide the plate towards the mouthpiece, the next step is to take that plate off right? It feels like I'm going to break it if I pull any harder. Thanks in advance for the help!

plastic ... plastic lalalala

do you see the airpath...

hope that this used plastic is really safe... i am vapeing because it is healthier... you know maybe they can t 100% say that it is safe... for this amount of money you have to pay i had wished that the materials used would be better (glass, ceramic -> like cera, or metal)
what i want to say maybe today they can t measure or know which toxic this plastic is emitting and which effect it has for your lungs, throat...

It is required (from the rules page):
  • Do not state opinion as fact, we don’t want to spread misinformation. Please qualify your statements and provide references when making claims.

I will not qualify every statement. No one does. If you are incapable of knowing when another here speaks that it can ONLY be their opinion I will certainly not make the superfluous effort to add the modifier IMO every time I post just for you.

But it isn't just for me. Do you honestly believe that forum rules are made here just so "I" can be appeased?

On a second note, you do not specifically need to say "IMHO" in everything you say for the same thing can be accomplished simply in how your word your statements.

Then do me a favor and help me out. Can you go find any statements I made that appear to be attempts at making OBJECTIVE claims. I mean this is ridiculously petty in every way. If I think the Crafty is a Pax killer and I explain exactly why *I* think that no further qualifier is necessary. If I think it is better at extracting material I don't need to conduct a controlled, double blinded study to say so. But hey I've been wrong before. If there was something I said that you feel "misinforms by stating an opinion as fact" let me know. I believe I've stated my opinion wherever I have posted.
