Two different coils up top, differrent thicknesses, both work great

Both coils depicted in those photos have worked perfectly for me for months. I'm not sure how I could provide any more detail. You just need a slight interference fit between the stainless steel chamber and the titanium coil. If it drops in easily after a slight squish, give it a little more. You'll need to use a tool to poke it down evenly in the tube and seat it against the bottom.

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro

I should try and make a video, once and for all eh?(not the existing one that is for the laser welded wire and not very helpful in this instance)
When you are wrapping the coil on to the skewer just keep fair to moderate tension on the titanium wire and as you spin the skewer just move to the side and when you let off the tension and it will not unwind, unless of course there was not quite enough tension during the spin.

Thats my only trick I recall at the moment, I just got a little high over here, everyone keep on with the :science:

I remembered a tip, Ok so when you just finished the 6-7 wraps with tension on, go just a half spin past where the two tails would be parallel , because even with proper tension when you release it always pops back just that half turn.

Have some claim building up in the dome of my kiss globe. What would be the best thing to do with it? Is this enough to do anything with? I've heard of just submerging it in hot milk. Would this work?

Used to work with my solo stem! Whole milk is better, or just add some cream to your milk. I use a double boiler to simmer it in untill there is more reclaim on the borosilicate. Enjoy!

Thanks for sharring your experience rebuilding those carts :). I know what kind pliers I need now. I still have 2 questions if you can.

Can I reuse the crimplets? I have 10 of them----> 5 possible carts if not.

If I cut the non resistance wire in 2, would it be long enough?

I thought I could rebuild 10 carts based on the 10 ceramic posts included in the kit. Im not sure anymore..

Has anyone rebuilt any kiss globe coils? Curious if it's similar to the regular kiss carts.

IMO the globes are easier to remake, as accidental shorts occur less often, if ever. I use 26-28 gauge nichrome 80 with a tight wrap for 7.4v use.

Thank you sir, I think it's time to make a switch in my lineup. Would the amount of wraps be different?

I am glad I went with w9 products. I am living with the folks and I need stealth.

I'm trying to use my Persei with the Hercules 74x 7.4 in my car using the Core. Is the max 3.7 on the Core using the car charger?

Is there an option with the Hercules sr74x to use 3.7? I only have the white ceramic one.

Everything is fine when my batteries are charged, but for those few times.

Glad I got the Core with the sale going on right now, especially with the enail coming out...

It should run at 7.4 no problem regardless if it's plugged into the wall or your car.

If you go on their website & select the replacement ceramic rod, it'll give you the option of 7.4 or 3.7.

I got my core with the intention of getting the enail as well, but it looks like we may be waiting for a bit.

I wouldn't think so, but I'm no expert. I like to wrap my globes around 1.75ohms for 3.7v and 2.75ohms for 7.4v. What I do notice is that the globes allow for using thicker, lower resistance wire much easier than the KISS carts.

I remember many, many posts ago there was a video of an omicron lite with a 3.7 rod herc getting clouds. I think the guy won a free omicron on a bet it wouldn't work. It didn't look ideal, but whatever floats your boat.

I don't like the batteries either, but I only use my portable 3-4 times a day and the omi lite is perfect for that. I go over a week without recharging. Minicron lite is perfect for stealth, portability, and as a backup. I kind of feel like it's my imagination, but omi lite seems to run things a little better than the minicron lite.
