I need to lower my tolerance. I take these lung busting hits and cash the entire bowl in 6-7 hits. Abv is perfectly light brown all the way thru. Perfect efficiency. I start at 370 and end at 400f, a few hits at 10. I pack it fully and press it down with the Orange pick at the bottom.

I never pack higher than rubber ring that surrounds the bowl. Should I pack higher? Has anyone weighed out amounts and see what is ideal?

You are my kind of dude!!! I spent almost full bowls .15-.20 in 4-5 draws max at 210C if I take it slowly. But I can finish them in 2 draws as well if want. The harder you draw, the less hits you get but they hit you harder as they are more potent. With small or slow puffs you can stretch it accordingly. It depends on the strain of course as well… ;)

That's exactly what I wanted to hear! Those are some MIGHTY big hits farmer! The ability to cash a bowl and get full extraction with a portable in less than 5 minutes is huge to me. When I drink red wine I'm a sipper, but when I medicate with weed it's pedal to the metal! I like to get where I need to be quickly then move on to other things.

Based on your ability to spend a bowl in 5 hits or less shows that harshness is not much of an issue or you wouldn't be able to do it.

Oh, and with a Lotus you can do that in less than 1-2 mins… :ko: They sure do compliment each other well… Waiting for mine as we speak! ;)

This is music to my hears, when I think I have been waiting for months....and months for Vapexhale to release the EVO for Europe, but now with my crafty I have absolutely no need or envy to acquire another vape :)................................or at least till something superior comes out ;)

I have also now came up with another way of using your adapter, will try to post some photos or a vid later on or tomorow

if interested the post goes on in its birth thread ;)

My retailer told me yesterday that they just received new stock and are currently testing them to see if they have the same defect. They will know in a couple of days. I will post the results here.

please do.

I can also finish a bowl in 4 draws (medium quality material), although I get around 6 massive hits from top shelf stuff.

how many hits do you get (same amount) out of a solo? (just for comparison)

I've had a mighty for a few weeks and wanted to share thoughts. I went for the Mighty over the Crafty because I bought it as a "clubhouse" vape for me and my friends to be either passed around or "checked out" when someone needs it. Previously we had a Volcano and then a Plenty performing these roles, so I thought that a Mighty would make a nice holiday group gift. I've been using it before gifting it away to the team, so here are the thoughts:
  • As most everyone has said, this thing hits very hard for a portable and is up there with the big boys in terms of vapor quality. Definitely a step up from the Solo on this front IMO and actually pretty close to the Plenty, which is a very hard hitter. Flavor is great. This hits so hard that I'm happy to use it occasionally as I've felt less productive during my test period.
  • I thought the one minute timer was strange at first, but the way this hits it hasn't been an issue. For a full bowl, 3-4 1-minute mini-sessions and its kicked. I'd do 4-5 hits in a minute (very little reheat/recovery time needed) and put it down for a few hours. People who prefer concentrates over bud because it takes the drawn out, "session" aspect out of the equation may like the fact you can get "in and out" with the Mighty in just a few minutes.
  • I've found that after it shuts off there are at least 2-3 good hits left to take. So after a fresh loading I find that taking 2 hits on, shutting it off, then taking 2-3 more after that works fine.
  • The filling tool is interesting. You certainly don't need to use it but I think its there to: 1) keep herb from spilling all over and getting into the seal, and 2) to prevent you from over-packing it. #2 seems to be the real reason, as keeping it loosely packed is key to getting that easy, convection airflow. To that point, this is for sure a convection vape, with very little conduction heating unless you leave it on for a long time.
  • The Mighty has all of the S&B German quirkiness and heavy-handed design features that the Volcano and Plenty have. The Germans are all about the safety, and they design it so it gets used the way they intended. Exactly like the Plenty, the Mighty does not stand upright on its end without some careful balancing but rather is designed to lay on its side. The shutoff timer is similar in function to the safety grip on the Plenty, designed to keep you from falling asleep mid-session and burning your house down.
This thing has exceeded expectations for me....actually it had to be great given the premium price but I think it got there. Like the other S&B vapes, vapor quality is the #1 design priority and this delivers. Like the Plenty its designed to be durable despite what the plastic look may convey. It comes at a premium price, but for me it serves a purpose that other vapes cannot. Its like a desktop vape that you can take on a roadtrip or carry around the house. Sets the bar for what a cordless vape can do.

Very nice review. Thanks for that. I'm a little confused as to why they would incorporate such a short automatic shut off of only one minute? What's the purpose of that? I was also wondering how long it takes to get back to temperature after it shuts off?

What does everyone think of this one minute shut off? It's sounds like a bit of a hassle to me.

I personally don't hit it hard enough to drop the temp to reset the timer. (Smoker lungs :rip:) Actually if I knew the magic number to the temp drop reset I'd have fun trying to reach it, just saying.

I've heard its to save battery but in my case it's wasting more battery get back up to temp rather than staying on at a consistent temp in my case.

I know hit the button but one of the draw backs of MJ is I FORGET shit lol

Okay, I'm confused. Are you saying the mighty automatically shuts down after one minute of non use , or does it shut down after one minute regardless if you hit it or not? If it only shuts down after a minute of non use, that's no big deal to me as I hit hard and frequently when I vape so it basically would not turn off until I'm done with my session. Could you clarify that? Thanks.

It will run forever for you. It will shut off after one min of inactivity. So if u draw hard enough it stays on. I don't draw hard enough so it shuts off, if I don't press buttons every 45-55 seconds

Once you learn the feel of the different vibrations you will know where you are at. It takes about a week or so.

I am also interested to know what kind of temperature range drop is needed to negate the auto shut down. In my experience it has been over 5 degrees Celsius.

Okay, thanks man...I get it now!

If you set the temp about five degrees higher than the degree you are wanting, and just hit the mighty before it reaches that temp then the one minute timer will not initiate.

Am I packing too little? I only get 6-7 big hits. 10-12 sipping. Can I pack all the way to the bottom of the rubber seal?

I have found that you can pack however you like and it still works great. I use a fairly coarse grind and do not overfill (loose packing). This gets me about 4 or 6 good long hits.

However, if you grind really fine and load the chamber all the way to the top, you can easily get 10 or more hits. The Mighty performs brilliantly either way. In fact, I am absolutely in love with mine and have not touched any of my desktops for 2 weeks! I am sure the honeymoon period will end eventually, but this thing is a precision THC extraction machine.

I have even slipped a silicone hose with 18mm ground glass connector over the mouthpiece and used it with my various glass pieces (without water) and it pulls like a champ!

For me considering the short life of the Crafty, the one minute shutt off is a great gift, as I tend to suffer from Brain RAM issues when under the influence, and know that I would otherwise let it run and forget about it and cry because the battery would be flat.

It DOES take some to get use to it though but bottom line, its only a matter of some extra hard flexing of the pinky to get it going again.

With all that Pinky training you'll be fitting right up there when visiting your british Chums :) (cupa tea)

Thanks. As others have said, the one minute shutoff resets if there is a large enough temperature drop. I tend to take slower pulls - and I get what I think are big hits / clouds - and its usually not enough to reset the timer. Not a problem for me using it by myself since one minute with this vape is plenty. Like a gentle reminder that perhaps its time to put it down. It might be a pain when passing it around though.

S&B says in the manual that the timer is there to save battery, but safety is probably also a concern. For those who don't know the Plenty, which is a plug-in, there's a dead mans switch built into the handle. If you aren't holding the handle it automatically shuts off in a minute or so. btw... the Plenty is now S&B cheapest vape at $349 list! That's a great machine too and maybe a good deal given where other higher-end plugins are getting priced these days. Better than the Volcano IMO.

please do.

My retailer got back to me yesterday. They said they have received new units where the two issues mine was experiencing are not occurring any more. I am hesitant to pay the return postage on my item until I have heard something from Storz and Bickel confirming that the units have been fixed. I don't want to have to pay return postage again in two weeks if the new units begin to fail.

I finally got a reply from Storz and Bickel who told me that there are known problems with the units and that they are working on a fix. They told me that they would get back to me.

Not sure how I got a lower serial number but I haven't had any issues as well. I had a DOA adapter and what I thought was a vibrate issue but everything has been running accordingly.

How do you guys know that the 500 serial group is specific to US. What is the 200 serial group?
