Vapor concierge
I have Ed's 3 inch WonG made for the Solo. I have used it with the Air and it does a good job of cooling the vapor. The wood doesn't get too hot while drawing at all. You also can get some big clouds and it looks cool too.

I also like using the Solo stem with the Air for an added vapor path, then I can use higher temps.

So how does it compare to the Air stems for smoothness and air flow? Does it stretch out the retaining ring like on the newer Solos?

Thanks!

The Air needs to be heated up for the Eds stem to slide in. Heat level green is still harsh with the WonG but tolerable. It's different in taste because it's the wood. I like the wood because you can really taste the flavor of the herb but because it's only a 3 inch vapor path the higher temps are still harsh.

The Eds stems continues to season with the herb that you are using. I've posted this pic before.

That just a shorter solo stem? Mine came with the longer solo stem that looks like that

No, the diameter is smaller and the holes in the glass plates smaller like the plastic top stems. It's basically a new design, a modification on the new (plastic top) stems it seems.

I have the feeling it's an 'on the fly' change, I wonder if it's in response to a rash of broken stems?

@OF Hmm, that almost looks PV like.

:myday:
For those who haven't seen my favorite PV GonG/ALT mouthpiece combo, it'd work well with Air....
(pardon double post)

So there wasn't a longer stem with black mouthpiece included? I was actually on PV looking at stuff for the air. Considering the stealth solo stem and maybe the PHEV along with some ultra fine solo screens. Any other suggestions/ recommendations on something I might enjoy?

Back for more knowledge please..

My herb is vaping unevenly, I'm probably packing too tight. Is it ok to pack it looser even if some may/will fall into the chamber after I load it and flip it upright?

I may be blind but I don't see a temperature range [for storage] on the paperwork. Can I leave it in my car overnight? I'm in socal so it only gets down to high 40's at the lowest.

I just ordered some of those high temp, vinyl caps, I can't wait because fiddling around with these stems on the go is somewhat annoying.

Yes, it's OK to pack more loosely. You can even use intact buds. Touching the cup with herb is not the end of the world, although purists avoid it. In theory the cup is no hotter than the air entering the bottom anyway.

40F should be fine for storage of the components used. I would not worry about it.

Enjoy the high temp caps. Remember, they're stiffer than the low temperature ones (and a bit thicker I think). When I first started using them with Solo stems I found soaking them a few minutes in very hot water helped get them on the first time. For routine use, the softer ones are easier but for 'hot stem emergencies' it's nice to have a thick one handy.

Enjoy your Air, IMO it's a good 'un.

Do some research before you buy. This is not the place to talk about the Crafty. Plus good luck with your Crafty , i have read several units having problems and shipping back seems like a pain. They may produce some nice vapor but just bc they cost the most doesn't mean they are the best.
So, let me get this straight. Fuckcombustion.com is not the place to talk about the a Vaporizer? Thanks Hitler!
I said I wish I had the Crafty coming so I could have a completely different vape than my Solo. These forums can be so particular sometimes. It's strange.
I got the Air today. Holy hell, this thing is tiny! It's charging now but I am just excited about how concealed it can be.

Mod note: This type of name calling will not be tolerated here.

This is the forum to talk about the Arizer air. Sorry if i offended you in any way but you came in here asking if the air gives larger hits than the solo , than when someone told you whats up you went on to say you wished the Crafty was on the way to you. Many have come in here trying to say the Crafty is better and make comparisons and what not. It's not the place for it. I apologize if i came off rude but grow up man , calling me Hitler is pretty offensive , try and choose your words wisely especially with a Jewish holiday going on right now that can offend allot of people. Anyway im glad you got your air and please let us all know what you think when you give it a try .

I was being sarcastic about the Hitler part. I personally think the word offensive is itself offensive, but hey, that's just me. I don't get offended.
I simply don't think it makes sense at all to not compare vapes in threads. By not doing so, there is much more risk in not ordering the product that best suits the customer. I sometimes feel like I am cross examining all day on here. When it should be as simple as "which vape is better". I get it's a lot of personal opinion, but there are some people on this forum that are true connoisseurs that I trust 100%.

If you did not get offended you would have refrained from calling me hitler so something i said got to you. Either way man i can take it that's fine and i somewhat agree with what your saying but that's just not how the forum here works. Do what the poster above said and go to Ask FC for that. Well happy holidays and looking forward to hearing some good info from you on the air when you have a chance to use it.

I can't get a screen to stay put in any of them.

That's why I'm using the stock bent/straight solo stems at home.

Then for stealth the PV 14mm gong as a mouthpiece.
With a bit of reclaim buildup, the 1/2'' screen would stay put in my og solo too. Domed 5/8" screen stay put 1st time in PLUS, it kinda never clogs enough to warrant a screen replacement.

You can cut a screen to fit whatever size you want. The screens are easy to make smaller with a pair of scissors. I've been going with no screen and am using a medium grind. You just need to clean more often. I'm not getting anything in my mouth and just very little accumulation in the mouthpiece. If you have too fine of a grind my way doesn't work.

I too wish there was a battery meter. I just need to keep track of how many sessions I've had. After I use mine I just put it back on the charge. I did buy an extra battery. I will buy more when we find out if it's ok to substitute another type.

The high temp stem caps come in a pack of 100 so if anyone wants a couple shoot me a PM. I'll send them for free but if anyone has a couple of the low temp caps to trade that would be great.

I'm new so I wouldn't trust me either but the offer stands.

What are you guys putting it in for travel? I'm thinking about getting a custom case, this is the first one I found:

Found out last night that you can dremel out the threads on the inside of a black mouth piece with a little drum sander, and it slips over the regular long solo stems perfect . It really is nice having the mouthpiece and it makes the long stems even cooler . I broke one of my short stems so I had an extra mouthpiece to try it on .

A question for those that have had their unit for a couple weeks. Do you still need to wait to heat your unit before you insert the stock stems? At first I needed to heat up my unit to insert the stem/mouthpiece. Now it's still tight but I can insert without being heated first.

I can insert with no preheat , but stems are still much more secure than the solo was, which I like . They fit how I imagined the solo was gonna be before I got it .

The first few times did you need to heat the unit before inserting the stem? I did, now I don't need to. I was wondering if this was a natural process?

my AA stems with the mouth piece are actually a little loose now and it's been a week with the device.

It started after I used the long solo stem it came with which had a larger OD...
