I know nothing about attachments either. I'm wondering if there is a basic attachment that would fit the plastic tip mouthpiece of the crafty? Something like a whip or a just a tip that might cool it down just a tad without going the whole bulky glass rig approach but rather still on the go and small?

Actually you can place one of these at one end of the whip instead of the glass adapter

Going back to the WPA methode, I see arizer has this below, which would even be better than the regular 90° glass adapter !

Bear with my ignorance. So I take the first glass mouthpiece and connect it to a whip (what whip do you recommend?) and the whip goes over the crafty mouthpiece and the glass mouthpiece will be at the other end of the whip where I would draw from?

Could I use this exactly the same way with a dr Dabber oil pen vape too?

Another option for attaching to a bubbler will be @Ratchett's SonG (silicone on glass) adapter. Hoping it should be available shortly!

Here's a link to his thread.

The adapter he is making will attach to the straw/mouthpiece, so it will be different then some of the adapters you've seen here that completely bypass the cooling unit.

Haha, thanks for the shoutout @Roth. Perfect timing - my package was literally just delivered from Storz & Bickel with the spare mouthpieces (Since I'm not lucky enough to own a Crafty!).

I'll take the final measurements later today and compile the 3D molds necessary to cast the part. Currently my printer is busy printing a MiniVAP SonG mold for the next 5 hours. But I'll queue this up for later tonight.

I should have a progress report later this week on the status of my SonG's with some pictures of the cast part.

Does anyone else feel like the liquid pad leaves a metallic aftertaste?

I just don't use them anymore to be honest. I know some people love them, but every single time I have used them, for the rest of the day I feel like I have a metallic taste in my mouth I can't get rid of.

And tbh, I feel like crafty does great with small sized loads as long as you tamp it well. Oils, different story, I guess you'd need the pad or cotton or some kind of rig to put the oil on. But as for small loads, I definitly like it better without the liquid pad.

Is this just a me thing?

You could try this screens from the vapir no2:brow:
Works great for me, just put it upside down (hump up) on the load press a bit and your good to go:tup:
Should minimize the metallic taste and compress the load perfectly:D

So my crafty charges but not when I pick it up... Called the repair line and I'm just suppose to send it back without talking to them?? Seems strange..

Worked it out? :haw:

If not they're it is:

So first there was the elmomuzz mod
Then the convection mod (well, rest to be proven but hey!)
Now comes the PARTY mod!

Like I said in a previous comment:

"On the next trial I would like to fill both bowls and see how it hits..."

http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/the-crafty-by-storz-bickel.15984/page-95#post-706930

Which I did, so 2 bowls worth in one sesh :ninja:

On the post-it we have the interesting results

P8lkdM6.jpg

12 second draws starting @200° through the Bubbler GB-187 @a slow to medium draw speed
Scoring system 1-5 stars
Evaluation of the cloud: I have been using the same technique now for more than a year for my own comparisons sake amongst my vapes and that is to blow UP towards a halogen light in the ceiling thus giving a nice view of the overall cloud, and with habit I kinda know what score to give it, I also use +'s for mid stars (for eg. xxx+). Of course its only personal observations

So here I start

@210°

First draw: x
02:xxx
03:xxxxx
04:xxxx+
05:xxxx+
06:xxxxx
07:xxxxx+
08:xxxxx+
09:xxxxx
10:xxxx
11:xxxx

@210°
12:xxxx
13:xxxxx
14:xxxx

That's when I looked in and found the abv to be brown enough so stop

The ABVs coming from the EQ bowl is lighter as should be.

ocKWChL.jpg

So to compare here is a 1 regular bowl, same grass, same conditions: Scores averaged from many other post-it's .

@200°
01:xxxxx
02:xxxxx+
03:xxxx
04:xxxx

@210°
05:xxxxx
06:xxx

So you see why I call it the Party mod...cause it keeps on coming forever , man its a good job I did it in the name of science :science:, well frankly it was a little OTT but really enjoyed it (just a little too high for a tuesday night, its more of my Saturday night kinda exageration sesh :ko:

After it depends how you feel about the Crafty's bowl size, to me its a perfect for a solo sesh but I know that every one does it their own way so...

Anyway the bottom line, its normal that it should kick arssss since I've put double the amount of in its belly

If the glass adapter is the way you want to go the're also the silver surfer's ones with a better ergonomic design and their whips are way more flexible

Despite better judgement I soaked my cooling unit in 50% ISO. Word to the wise, don't do it! I am going to be waiting forever for this to evaporate. Got the 99% ISO in today and wow cleaned up QUICKLY!

Do you have a large Surround Receiver or a DVR Cable Box? Toss your ISO saturated Cooling unit on the hot vent grates for several hours. Problem solved

I use a hair dryer to dry mine quickly.

Edit: I misunderstood. Ignore me :p

This bug is already on the to do list for the next update and should be fixed within short.

We hope this information is of assistance for you.

Isn't it not charging when it's hot how it's supposed to be? Isn't that a good thing? I thought it was there to protect the batter when it was too hot/cold so you don't fuck it up.

Maybe they were saying the disconnects are the part that will be fixed?

The two problems seem connected, when I get the error 'ok' on the app I lose connection to my Crafty and it will not charge for a few minutes.

They have not mentioned battery protection.

Maybe they have the hot/cold threshold set to low and it needs increasing.

Got my answer as well and I am advised to send them my Crafty for inspection and they will send me a new one. I will hold on for a while though until my coil and lotus are in my hands...

Interesting on the temp/recharge issue. I had a session last night and plugged it in to charge 5 mins after use. Charged no problem, no messages on crafty app. I wonder if its a reporting problem coming from the firmware or the cell? When i charged it was very low, crafty app said to charge it so I did.

Try it after 3 full bowls on the bounce.

I thought I was just a heavy user. That's why I emailed s&b to see if its normal or if I have a fault.

You said glass adapter is the way I want to go as if I have other options? What is the best way to connect the crafty to a glass bong? Is there other ways? I want to do whatever way is the BEST.
