Ouch that sometimes happens on flashlights also, but is usually caused by the spring being to big so some people file them down a little , another thing would be to add some lube but i am unsure if you can do this with the air. It is not a good thing and can harm the device in the long term. I guess there is a design flaw here. i would def contact arizer on that.

Yeah, i was hoping it wouldn't have to come down to that.

I love it too much to have to send it back already.

That's why i posted the pic. To see if anyone else was having this issue.

It performs great now. I'm just worried that pin might lose contact if the gouge gets any deeper.

See if you can get Arizer to send a new cap instead of the whole enchilada. Send them a photo of the damaged cap. Worth a try maybe?

Yes, i thought about that. But i wonder what they would do about the serial number being on the bottom of the cap.

* Edit *

I emailed Arizer the issue.

Waiting for their response.

@CSW, if you back up the cap a bit, you shouldn't have the problem; those last few mm
seems to be gouging the foil.

User inflicted. However, to prevent such damage, a limiting stop should be tooled in, or, at the very least the limiting alignment lines can be scribed in factory....

To prevent such damage, or to not damage it further, cut and paste, a limiting gasket of the same diameter as the body, with the contact pin exposed; when you feel it getting snug at the end, stop tightening the cap.

An alternate method: Twist cap until unit can switch on. Stop. Mark the points for alignment later on.

Best wishes, mate!

Hmmm. Wishing the crafty was on the way now.
Do some research before you buy. This is not the place to talk about the Crafty. Plus good luck with your Crafty , i have read several units having problems and shipping back seems like a pain. They may produce some nice vapor but just bc they cost the most doesn't mean they are the best.

Hey guys im sorry for another dumb question...
I ve been told that the loaded glass stem touches the bottom of the metal chamber, and there isnt supposed to be any space between the end of the stem and the metal, so the herb doesnt get out or the glass bowl.
How does the air get into the stem from the holes in metal chamber then? Lol
idk if it makes sense haha im still very new to vaping

Goes against the "Be Nice" rule. Warning point issued.

Sorry mis read:
Like @Shit Snacks said
The 4 holes on the bottom are more on the bottom than in the ring I would say.
It works is all i know
You could lift the stem up just a touch a mm.
Also just pack lightly with pinky.

I love my AA the only 2 things I hate are
the top cap isnt the same material as the Solo rubber cap. :disgust:
mine popped off twice and i found it
im going to drill one of the round holes one size bigger and put it on.
If it does pop off its easy to put back on with dental floss.
Im going to email Arizer for a new one and see before i do any drilling.
AND
NO Fn batt meter????? :hmm::bang:
WTF?? :hmm::bang:
You have 5 different colors, you cant use them for a batt meter? :hmm:
Even the Pinnacle Pro has a batt meter.

Speaking of which I have to try them both out together as
I also think the PnP almost on par with the Solo for me vapor wise IMO.
taste the Solo and the Air taste much better, not compare just observation.
I will say if the Pnp did any of what the Air is it would be a real winner IMO
This is what the PnP should/could have been.
But the Arizer Air also pumps out the vapor.
Definitely a mini Solo.
Id like to see the Solo with the Air bowl.
Ive used 3 times back to back and no shut off.
I also cut slits in my condom, I notice the difference.

Ive been getting 5 full sessions with the Air..
Easy to double now with an extra battery you have +2 sessions over the Solo on a single charge.
I use green, yellow and red ,green a yellow are really nice as been stated.
Really glad I got it for black friday.Worth the $199.
To me yes just for the battery swap alone. and i get double the life of my Pnp,

But no battery meter??
Ohh, the condom, without any access holes for buttons and charger port would be sweet.
I turn mine 1/4 turn so the buttons and the charger port are covered from anything.and can see the light through mine(white)
will have to see how the black one looks when i get it.

I also notice the the Air fits right inside a JyARz without the condom or glass, maybe stretch a jyarz ?????

If you do get an Air get at least one extra battery.
Oh also I like the Air stem in my Solo for 14 mm Gong connection sweet idea.
If you have a Solo, get a Air stem and your set. anyone with,or waiting for planet vape should have one for a back up
for $9.99 works really well.
you could always drill out the black mouth piece if you wish.

I use my bent stem mostly works well with the Air.
And maybe one flat side on the Air would have been nice to lay on side and not roll.
So thats my rambling review.
I give the Air a 4.5 :leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf:.5
Only because of the battery meter and the cap
(my 2 plus year old solo has the cap,all 3 of my Solos have the cap no problem)
Nice work Arizer.

But what if you dont lift it? I push it all the way in and the air still gets in lol. does anyone know how is this happening if the end of the glass stem is touching the metal?
Thanks

it touches the metal but there are those 4 airholes that line up with the rim of the bowl, allowing a little air in but not too much.

I actually use mine through a bubbler on white even, huge smooth hits but zero flavor. thats the trade.

Now that makes sense haha!
Is flavor really that important? A lot of people here talk about it. I thought the buzz u get and efficiency r much more important

Depends on the person honestly. I'm a taste snob kinda. I love how the air tastes compared to the Pax and eq. Don't get me wrong, I definitely will vape it till it's done. I tend to milk the lower temps until all the good flavor is out and then crank it up. With regards to the bubbler. I use it because it cools the vapor and my throat has turned into a bitch lately. Lol

I can't even compare the taste of the Air with that of the Pinnacle Pro. No comparison the Pinnacle Pro gets hot and burns the herb. I could only have my Pinnacle Pro on heat level one or I had to use the Water Tool. For me the size is the only comparison. The Air is so well made with sturdy materials. I've had nothing but problems with the Pinnacle Pro's plastic. Not meaning any disrespect this is just my experience.

The Air wins hands down if compared to the Pinnacle Pro IMO.

I enjoy the good vapor quality from a well made unit. Thank you Arizer for your attention to detail and for making a sturdy portable vaporizer.

FWIW, the built in glass screen on my small AA stem is imperfect with a convex shape. This has prevented me from being able to get a ss screen to remain in place. I did not have this issue with the longer stem nor the solo stem.

Hey Guys, check this out:

The new Air I ordered for the Brother-in-Law got here today, or rather yesterday, and I decided to open it up and make sure everything was OK (and charge the batteries). That's what seems to be replacing the longer of the two 'screw top stems'. That is it was wrapped in bubble wrap (no little plastic bag the right size?) and stuffed into the middle slot. No straight Solo stem in with the case and skin.

Note it's necked down on the lips end. Also the glass plate is 'new style' (with small holes). I wonder how it works........

I'm guessing this is the new configuration?

I agree! This vape is similar in size to the PNP and the INH. All three vape designs choose to heat the herb at the top and give the user a very short air path. The difference is that Arizer's black tips soothe the vapor enough for consumption while the others struggle. The taste, smoothness and overall hit of the Air is superior to the others, imo. @CarolKing -- are you the one who was using it with the wong from Ed? I wonder how that thing cools down the vapor compared to the black tips.

I'm guessing this is the new configuration?

I hope not...I'm convinced the black tips are essential! My included Solo stem without the black tip was too hot for use, but the shorter stems with the black tips work great. The glass gets hot enough to hurt, but the black tips not only cool the vapor but also protect the lips. I have not been able to get my black mouthpieces uncomfortably hot even after a long session on red.

I can't get a screen to stay put in any of them.

That's why I'm using the stock bent/straight solo stems at home.

Then for stealth the PV 14mm gong as a mouthpiece.

That shortie lQQks like the straight Solo stem I had cut off for a lower profile.

Also made it lQQk less Dorky.

I have Ed's 3 inch WonG made for the Solo. I have used it with the Air and it does a good job of cooling the vapor. The wood doesn't get too hot while drawing at all. You also can get some big clouds and it looks cool too.

I also like using the Solo stem with the Air for an added vapor path, then I can use higher temps.

When I want to be stealth I use the small Air stock mouthpiece. It looks so much like an ecig.

For my dandelion greens, I've been using the short stem with the mouthpiece off as a log vape into 14mm glass. When I first paired it to glass I left the mouthpiece on which severely restricts draw. It also would stick a lot, it works much better with the mp screwed off. IMO even then it still is not putting out "huge clouds" - Not a problem for me, I like to turn on some tunes and chill and sip on a vape; but I showed the Air to some bong smokers who liked the taste but were expecting one and done. I don't think this is the vape for that style, but I do think it's more of a combustion mindset. I think when a lot of folks switch to vapor they start to appreciate sessions more. The taste that they always thought they loved is suddenly 100 times better.
