Vaporbrothers Dabbler & Eleven Pen

Can anyone comment on the Dabbler vs Dr Dabber? Are they the same innards with different skins or are they truly different? One better or worse in your opinion?

My friend bought a Dabbler the other day, after we sat here researching for a couple hours- what I've found is the Dabbler has a glass rod wick made of tons of thin glass strands wrapped in a coil, and runs at a lower temp than the W9 vapes (omicron/persei/8) that use a porous solid cylindrical ceramic element wrapped in a coil on the bottom of the chamber.
Dr. Dabber works similarly to the Omicron but I believe has a different material for the coil and ceramic pieces..

My friend got the Dabbler because it runs at lower temps, and from what I've read (one of @Vitolo 's posts come to mind) it's quite reliable.

These are just my findings, YMMV

Dr Dabber has a ceramic chamber with titanium 2 coil that supposedly heats at a lower temp for a better vaping exoerience. Sounds like the Dabbler and Dr Dabber are similar?

In any case of either of them even slightly taste like a microG or any of the vast array of shitty oil vape pens I'll be highly disappointed.

I'm using the crafty w an oil pad and that is superior in every way with oil than the shit pens I've tried but I want to use it for herb only (also superior to every portable herb vape I've used) and get an oil pen vape that is head and shoulders above these Ecig modded turds!

I bought my Eleven on Saturday, supposed to arrive on Thursday. I couldn't get the Dabbler because the black is gone.

Really don't like the metal mouthpiece; wish I knew that before ordering. I'm trying to keep an open mind about it for the time being.

This is my 1st portable/pen/non-volcano vape purchase, hopefully I made a good choice. Can't wait until Thursday!

I know this market by now- Well funded marketing and a beautiful website makes me wonder about the product itself. But Dr Dabber is not cheap, so there has gotta be an extra level of attention put into its manufacture. Here is my only experience with Dr Dabbler firsthand: Messy glass fiber core with a thin wire all bunched together in the middle. They might be better by now.

I think both these pens are an answer to the "vast array of shitty oil vape pens..." (thx @Volteric ) although VB Dabbler's overhead was going through the roof and the other brands like Dr Dabber are catching up fast. That's partly why we are improving Dabbler into a new pen called VB Eleven Pen (VB11)

So, about the VB Eleven, in short it works way better than previous ceramic core heaters, costs less, and has a few awesome USA made glass top accessories to choose from. Ceramic core comes standard; glass fiber wicks are gone!! Titanium wire whatever, it's there. Here are a few points we gave to our stores:

A note about the USA made glass attachments...

This one is my favorite and will be mentioned again as we fill in more options. We put a big hole in the side- not to use as a carb, but to allow airflow to be unrestricted. Personally, I loathe sucking on a cloggy vape pen. With these glass tops, the hits are effortless.



A note about the microprocessor: Dabbler had a custom programmed microprocessor with several of its components swapped out with beefier ones. @smokum @karlmarx13 There's nothing special with the microprocessor this time. It's off the shelf. Coil temperatures are moderate. Works fine.

@JustCallMeKush Inconel seems to last longer than all other coils. It doesn't corrode in bright colors like Titanium, making us think that it's the more inert substance. Titanium is widely accepted yes, although it's still being looked at by us closely to see which Titanium we feel comfortable to use.

Btw @twiz0r we can send you a plastic mouthpiece any day. Do you not like the hard metal? We were getting too many people thinking the plastic was cheap, and not as easy to wipe clean when you're handing the pen around a group. Hence, metal. The look is really clean and awesome with the metal.

Here is the atomizer for Dr. Dabber. Sounds like your experience with a messy glass fiber with wire all bunched in the middle may have been a previous unit?? This atomizer looks identical to the Eleven. Maybe you could explain exactly how they differ and why Dabbler or Eleven is superior ? You point out yours is titanium wrapped 8 times. So is the Dr Dabber. It sounds like the Eleven is direct competition to the Dr Dabber and that your previous model the Dabbler is not as good in comparison? I'm asking. I have no idea since I'm new to high end Vape pens like Dabbler/Eleven and Dr Dabber so I'm looking to you or anyone in the know that can to forth the evidence. Thanks for response BTW

@Volteric I think your questions have been answered. The only way to really find out whether the taste is superior to a gpen (which is a subjective thing) is to try it yourself.

What do you think the next step in wax pens. I am hoping they go the way of the ceramic donut for flavor. I think the problem is the lack of clouds. What do you think the next innovations are?

I keep buying these pens with ceramic cores wrapped in ti gr2 wires. It works but is messy, not efficient (lose a lot of product on the sides), and requires a lot of maintenance.

That's a great question! I'm not sure because I have very limited experience with oil pen vapes, but I'm guessing that a device that is truly capable of VAPORIZING (not combusting) both herb, oil/wax? Sure some claim to do this I just haven't experienced it yet

Thank you. That makes more sense. I would say his implication that his experience with a Dr Dabber was a glassy fiber with wire bunched up in the middle unwarranted then.

What's the answer to: is the Eleven intended to be a direct competitor to the Dr Dabber ? Or is the Dabbler or both?
-Eleven was intended to be the successor to VB Dabbler. I think all 510 type pens compete with each other, although we all derive from previous stuff.

Anyway, Dabbler is 2 years old, and in vape pen market we need to keep innovating to stay ahead. Any skillet using a ceramic core will appear to heat at a lower temperature compared with a fiber wick, no matter what battery is being used.

Fiber wick skillets will heat up much faster and make the coil glow brighter than the ceramic core. Skillets using a ceramic core are slow to heat because heating the ceramic requires more energy to heat than fiber wicks, thus making the coil glow dimmer and at a lower temperature.

I am no engineer but this is what I've observed from testing both ceramic core and fiber wick skillets.

Can you say that the flavor is significantly tastier and cleaner? Again I only have experience with a MicroG so I am fully expecting a revelation. Is it just slightly better in your opinion or dramatically mouthgasm better??

@vaporbrothers I understand why you guys made it metal, it really is superior for the application in almost every way. The reason I do want plastic is because when I am using my pen when traveling (why I bought a pen), I am in very cold temperatures at times and don't like the feel of frozen metal on my face

I'm honestly the wrong person to ask this question. Sadly my sense of smell has been diminished for many years and that affects my sense of taste as well.

I think it will be a dramatic difference in flavor. Dr Dabber, VB Dabbler, VB Eleven all are a step above as far as attention to detail. One way we know our heaters are clean is that we can burn them in red hot without even a wisp of shit burning off. You can tell Dr Dabber is similar in that they say you don't need a 5 second initial burnoff like other pens, "...there is nothing to burn off..."

The mouthgasm depends. You're asking a tiny battery to heat a tiny metal coil, touching your oils directly to burn them off (boil them, vaporize, whatever the term). It's a miracle you can get decent oil hits on the go. For mouthgasm, and bodygasm you need a clean nail or VB2.

Btw, if you're asking if a ceramic core heater is tastier than a glass core, some people swear by the ceramic, and it's taken me a while to come around. But now I'm offering only ceramic core because I think we eliminated the drawbacks in the new Eleven heater. After some time using both, I notice that the oils get caked on different places and contribute to the burnt taste after awhile. @Vitolo is an expert with cleaning and maintaining bowls, so he probably gets the tastiest hits of all of us.

This is not exclusive to the Eleven battery but almost every brand on the market using a non-replaceable lithium battery.

The skillets are a consumable item and will need to be frequently replaced. With the best of care, expect the skillet to last several months before it needs to be replaced.

I'm curious if you or @vaporbrothers can explain what the mouthpiece on the VB11 is made of? It looks like glass?

nope, Vaporwarehouse is just saying that because some people don't know lithium batteries or vapor pens yet. VB11 should outlast all, and if it doesn't.. a solid warranty backs you up.

@Volteric Chrome on steel. People wanted something they could wipe off easier when they're passing their vape pen around a group. Black plastic mouthpieces also available.

@vaporbrothers Wow, that's chrome on steel? It really looks like a little bulbous glass attachment. Chrome on steel is rad too! Does it in any way cool down the vapor more than a regular mouthpiece?
