This one hits home for me....my dog is a 10 year old pit and black lab mix. He's a big guy, quite the gentlemen and has never put his teeth on anything other than his own food. calling him a gentle giant would not be an exaggeration. I am sensitive to the reaction of people when they first meet him. From the back and sides he looks mostly like a lab. From the front the width of his jaws, size of his teeth (under-bite) and those beady pit bull eyes have taken people by surprise who expected the face of a happy go lucky lab. I can see both sides on this one.

Not trying to derail the thread..but in Miami it's legal to own a tiger but not a pit bull. What the actual fuck.

With the decriminalization of MJ there needs to be an EXPLOSION of new research that has been actively suppressed up to now. There are SO MANY areas of research that may produce results that we need to somehow resists the knee jerk avoidance.

I'm Australian so I can say this ... Fuck Australia and fuck the junky or icehead that did that. I don't miss that shit one bit. In my part of Asia I can leave coins, possessions and valuables in the car without any fear of my car being broken into. However, some #$%# did see it as a good idea to key my car recently. Being the paranoid individual that I am I was happy to see I was not the only victim. If it was personal I would have spent months trying to figure out who did it lol.

I left the broken window behind me when I accepted that it may have been karma (4 years late, but karma none the less..) from when I was a less than respectable young man living on the streets and not opposed to commiting petty crimes.. So oh well..

What is fucked however is that yesterday I reversed out of a friends driveway with my door still slightly open and it got caught on his letterbox and bent my door significantly I can't close it and it's going to cost me heaps of money. Im scared to tell anyone, it;s just in the garage and im ashamed at my carelessness.. My birthday is in 2 days and all of the money I get will go towards getting my door panel beaten back to shape

I have no interest in watching this video. Not being an idiot (or at least not the Village kind) I am fairly confident that I know what is in it, and there is no upside to my watching it. I am an animal lover and a great friend to animals in that I have very loving and symbiotic relationships with many Dogs, Cats, Horses, etc and donate to several animal welfare causes. And I tend to go apeshit when I see someone abusing a domesticated animal, which has not always gone well.

That being said, I also love to eat certain animals. I may be particular on which ones I will eat, but I really do love eating some of them. I would HOPE that the sources of the meat I eat are considerate about destroying and slaughtering them, but not being in a rural area I really don't have a way to get my meat direct from a "principled slaughterhouse", at least that I've been able to find. I would truly appreciate (and would shop based on) reviews on slaughterhouses and the sourcing of meat in grocery stores, but there seems to be none of that, at least around here.

You would never get me to knowingly eat Dogs or Cats or Horses, or any animal that seemed to me to have an identifiable "PERSONality". That is relative, of course, and some might argue that all animals have one, but I don't see it that way. I'm sure on some level that is self protection.

So, to stay on topic, FUCK PEOPLE who have no consideration for the well being and comfort of ANY animals, whether they have self knowledge and identifiable personalities or not. And FUCK PEOPLE who don't care about the comfort level of animals in OUR food chain that should be treated with respect and caring while being raised and kept, even though we will eventually kill and eat them.
