Paying it Forward - A New Direction

I just stumbled across this thread lurking around, and @Vitolo whst you are doing is really really great for you and these patients. This topic touches home for me since I was diagnosed with a rare nervous condition at 18. I lost my hearing and its a struggle everyday and only gets worse. Vaporizing has so many benefits, and everyone should be able to experience it. I have a FM V that I was going to sell, but I would rather have someone else enjoy it.

@TNT_error The eagle has landed.
An Indica, and a Vapormax, and as it happens the indica found a home within a day of it's arrival.
A patient that I saw for the first time last week, got an Indica.
Today she brought her mother, another cardholding patient, and the mom
had no questions.
She knew her daughter's Indica like the back of her hand, and she was finishing sentences for me as I told her about the unit and it's care.
I did not need to explain anything to her... or teach.. or give choices.
She wanted an Indica, and would wait for one if I did not have it here.
"I would love a vaporizer just like my girl's"
It was here.
It became hers.
Timing was right, and the pieces fell in place.
That seems to be the way it goes.
Thanks for paying it forward!

Since this whole thing began, different Vaporizer professionals have stepped up to the plate, with assistance to support what we have been doing. This sure has made things better for patients.
Today I have some interesting news to share that will help us even more.
Haze Vaporizers has decided to make available an upgrade program for Haze owners. For a one time fee, an owner can upgrade his unit to a newer version as they are released to the public. The fee will include lifetime upgrades.
How does this affect us?
The Vapor Trail will be a part of this upgrade program!
Vaporizer units that are coded with a return number will be sent with prior authorization to us here, and once securely received, they will get their new upgrades.
Guess what happens with the original used units!
You got it.
They get placed in the hands of patients that need them.
Here is a big thanks to FC for holding things together and giving us a home.
Haze is keeping patients in mind.
Read about Haze's program at http://www.hazevaporizers.com/index.php/upgrade-charity
Big thanks to Haze, to FC, and thanks for direction and facilitation to pakalolo (who won't accept thanks so I must sneak it in here!)
Read about this in Haze's words at http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/haze-vaporizer.13162/page-44#post-706620

Wow you guys amaze me I know it's been said throughout this thread but I had to say it for myself! I thought this type of humanity was dead.

I've been on this forum for a few months and this is the first I've heard of this! I'm a big Haze fan and it's great how they, and others participate in this program!

I'd like to donate a vape or 2 in perfect working and cosmetic order please pm me the info thanks.

I LOVE this place!!

@Vitolo.Please let me know. Thanks.
I will let you know. I will contact you, and we can communicate more closely about details
I've been wanting to do something to give back to the community that supports me.
You are a pretty damned important member of the community, and very sincere to boot! Thanks.
@stickstones recommended I contact you to see if there was a place for me and what I do in your efforts.
Thanks @stickstones - always got our back!

*************************************************************

@vtac - You da man.
You brought this together.
The staff is to be thanked as well.
I never dreamed that what I was doing here would be publicly known about , let alone acknowledged.
I never get the opportunity any longer (not that I wanted it)... to sit at night and pull at my hair worried about how to climb a mountain.
It is not a battle any longer, just life. FC has helped me graduate from what I was.
It has taught me to graciously let others in on the "intrinsic reward ride"..
Trying to do it alone was selfish.
I know now (I don't believe... I know) that I don't have to look at the patients "in waiting" as a mountain.
I can see them as small individual bridges that I can focus on, and cross one at a time... and easily, with the help that the Universe has arranged through all of you.
Thanks

Edit:

@scottg402 ..
The Eagle has landed.
I am looking over the info on this new Puffit-X now.

Unspoken heros..... out of thin air,
no thought of recognition.
Just wanting to share.

Mysterious stranger ... nameless to me,
sends second donation
Hence, "new balance" you see.

PA for FV shows up at my door
... young recipient soon will get it,
never dreamed there'd be more!

No names can I praise
...so I speak of your acts...
..that glasses be raised.

The gal that has sent a second donation is kind, and wrote a beautiful thing as a note with the donation.
The words were kind and encouraging, and she included Patty in her note. Thanks. You're in our hearts as well.

A Wispr 2 that is brand new, accompanies a Flowermate V8 in the same condition.
Very nice units... reliable units... and I am certain that only good will come from these!
@NickDlow ..a big thanks!!

The Haze Upgrade program is now in progress.
The first 2 RMA units have arrived.
Once these units are checked, and sets are made complete, the launch
of our Haze program will begin. Patients that would otherwise not have bought even a cheap Vape, will
now be sporting top of the line equipment at the hands of wonderful concerned
Forum Members, Manufacturers, and the Universe itself.

Converted a long time combuster to vapor. In need of his first vape(s) and with no $$$ I sent him home with an herbalAire and an OG Pinnacle. I had plenty of time to completely restore them to almost new condition and function with plenty of new spare parts. He was extremely happy and is now on his way to begin a new vaping career . . . :)

Life has gotten very busy here.... due to the generosity of friends like all of you.
I owe you some updates, and will get them together in short order.
If I owe anyone a shout out... send me a private message... and be patient, I work through a brain injury!
Besides all of the units I am getting out that were donated here, I have been hard at work with Haze... getting double ovened portables ready to distribute to the community.
Quite an interesting unit, the Haze, and I am proud to pass these babies out to those in need.
It has absorbed some time, though!
I have the time to spare... so this is good.
I shout out to an anonymous donor.
Thanks for your gift.
We were sent $40 to use for consumable goods.
This will go to a well discounted order of Quality Butane to be used for patients that are
in possession of Iolites, and VaporGenies.
There are 11 Iolites in use now that have landed here due to help from members here.
There are about a dozen standard VGs and a few Glass Sherlocks in the hands of local patients also.
The Butane gotten from this donation should last a year, used properly!
I will post updates and news soon.
Thanks for hanging in there with me!

Long time no visit.
You guys have made me the busiest guy in the MMJ Cardholding Universe.
You and the supporting retailers that have stepped up.
Oh yeah... and the manufacturers!
Let me talk for a minute about the Haze Upgrade program, and what that has been doing.
Acting as an RMA agent, I am receiving the old units that Haze Users send in, to get their upgrade units.
For what seems a very reasonable cost, lifetime upgrades are available to those that sign on for the program.
After I report the units received, the fun starts... I get to sort the units and the returned parts out... make kits "complete". To this end, I have been afforded a discount for parts related to units going out into the low income community.
Thanks @Haze Vaporizers for your help and support.
I have 6 patients out there now using the Haze on a daily basis.
6 patients with used Haze Portables...
6 fully functional vapes in their hands.
That speaks to the reliability of the units.
My average pre-Haze Ownership pep talk goes like this:
"A Vaporizer maker that has made an upper end portable has provided us with a unique opportunity.
I want you to log on to fuckcombustion.com, and look up the Haze thread.... and read what users say.
Next, go to youtube, and watch a few reviews.
(Now I hand them the instructional CD.. I only have a couple so I must lend them out!)
When you are done with the CD come back and collect a complete Haze Kit, with all parts included.
I know I have always helped without question, but just this one time, the love is conditional!
I want to hand you a Vaporizer that you already understand.
It is to your advantage in all respects to know everything about this tool before it is in your hands.
I need you to be as excited about this chance as I am.
"
The pep talk has had good results.. and the units go into ready hands.
Those with no technology at home watch the CD here.
Patients are being treated to home units, and portables.
Most bring me their ABV to make goodies.
Bodies, made to feel better... moods elevated, and spirits lifted...
I see shattered Egos being repaired, because this is not a typical handout.
No generic pouch of powdered milk, gained by standing for hours at a Neighborhood Center..... this is more like handing a hungry man a coupon to walk into any supermarket and choose a brand they love.
I get to feel good about being alive every day.
Patients with eyes wide... being handed a tool that was once out of reach.
Every patient asks without fail, how they can repay this opportunity.. what can they do for me.
I think you guys here know me well enough to know my answer to them all.
"What you can do for me is easy.... just Pay it Forward!"

"You don't pay love back; you pay it forward." Hammond, Lily Hardy (1916). In the Garden of Delight.

"I do not pretend to give such a deed; I only lend it to you. When you [...] meet with another honest Man in similar Distress, you must pay me by lending this Sum to him; enjoining him to discharge the Debt by a like operation, when he shall be able, and shall meet with another opportunity. I hope it may thus go thro' many hands, before it meets with a Knave that will stop its Progress. This is a trick of mine for doing a deal of good with a little money." Benjamin Franklin, in a letter dated April 25, 1784

...His pride said no; his stomach said YES! Don took it and said, "Uh, thanks! That's awfully kind of you. I'll pay it back, first chance." ...
"Instead, pay it forward to some other brother who needs it."
Robert A. Heinlein in his book Between Planets, published in 1951

Good man, t-dub!
The Daisy is a dandy device to pass along.
It is a unit that encourages learning about vapor, and also more ..... as Daisy Owners become confident in manipulating the simple working parts....
Daisy becomes a lesson in self reliance, and a confidence builder, without doubt.
You gave away more than a vaporizer, @t-dub
You gave away learning, and confidence at the same time.
Confidence is the well from which springs forth aspiration..... and promise
@t-dub ....you have given a gift of hope!

@dorkus_molorkus
I was contacted by Vapor Warehouse today.
It seems you won a contest for the VB Eleven Pen, and you assigned your prize to be sent here to be Paid Forward.
If that was not enough, I saw a simultaneous bump in the AZ Patient fund, with a notation signifying that it was "for spare parts". It's clear that you were behind that also.
May all the good in the Universe be offered to you as you wish for it.
Thanks for what you've done.
