The Arizer Air

@Nytron -- looking at that pic, that is the perfect place for a cotton or hemp fiber filter. I just put on in mine yesterday but haven't started using it yet. Just a small amount pulled apart to make it wispy. It would make vaping that reclaim a breeze and keep things clean.

I posted a few days back that my glass stem broke at the mouthpiece. I too received an email that seemed condescending and implying that everything was my fault. I did put some pressure on it but definitely not enough to where it should break lol. So I emailed them and they requested pics, I sent the pic and got ur response below. Not bad I'd say. Now I'm just waiting to confirm how to order the longer of the two stems. There's no option and I have the small one and it's too harsh

an alternative to this is an option for the writer to add "tags" specific to their post. like i would tag this one with "night out", "taking to bars", auto shutoff, etc...so that a person who was trying to get a feel for those aspects of this vape could save time just reading posts about that...

we could have everyone with a username complete a review on whatever vape they want to include their opinion on (with specific choices for each field) and have that data somehow go to a master list that can be sorted by field to compare every vape that has a thread. this could be a huge helpful tool to kind of consolidate much of the information already on this website...id be willing to review the vapes i had experience with to contribute to this database if anyone knew how to set something like this up...

I encourage you and everyone else to nominate more posts and fill out that thread.

The spreadsheet (or database) idea has come up numerous times and everyone who has attempted it has given up in despair, including me. The variations are endless and just trying to come up with a table design seems impossible. Don't let that stop you from trying though. Maybe you'll find the secret.

Tagging is not possible with this software so that idea is out. We are working on the idea of providing a way for members to post their reviews, but I don't know when we'll be able to go live or exactly how it will take shape yet.

Half way through my first session with the long AA MP it became so loose that it just fell out, and this was on the blue temp setting. Pretty bummed as I feel as though the short MP gets too warm during use.

Fyi for those who plan on ordering extra stems (or replace one you broke like me. )

well that sucks. i was going to get extras of the short stem. all this talk of them breaking makes me wonder if a 3rd party replacement would be the better option anyway.

I don't want to jinx things but I haven't read of any faulty units so far. I might have missed it, if there was? I will have to say this is a very well built piece of equipment. It's also fairly easy to operate once you get used to the buttons.

I have used this unit out and about and no one seems to look twice. It looks so much like a larger ecig. It is a very discreet device, it has an odor but not that big of a deal. Plus it medicates well and it's fun to use. It's so small. I'm sure over time it will come down in price, closer to $200.

For me the batteries that can be changed out by the owner and the stealth of this unit make it a winner in my opinion.

I prefer the lower temps for flavor. I haven't tried my bubbler with it because when it gets hot it shuts off. That's OK, I save the Solo for that.

Carol i don't think that many people have them yet. I personally was supposed to receive mine today but now tracking now says the middle of this week. I really hope someone signed for it and it is sitting at my house safely waiting for me . When you say : " I haven't tried my bubbler with it because when it gets hot it shuts off. That's OK, I save the Solo for that." Do you mean the air will shut off before it's 10 min timer if it gets to hot ? I see a few people here stating they turn it back on for a second session right after the shut off.

Like after I use mine 3 sessions back to back it won't turn on for the 4th. I and a friend put it through the paces. Others have stated that too. After 5 min cool down time it's good to go.

I thought using the bubbler on the high temps might tax the unit a bit. I only use the lower temps, no higher than the green, which is 392 degrees. I start out at Blue then go to white and finish off on Green. Using a bubbler I would go higher temp wise.

sounds good CarolKing , well i am pretty upset. I paid for 4 day shipping and it did not arrive today. oh well. 3 sessions back to back is fine for me. I usually do 1- 1 1/2 in my current portable im using now and it suit's me fine. most of my buddies have portables also so usually there is more than 1 around to pass around.

unfotunately no i have not squeezed the trigger yet. may have to wait til after the holidaze are over. and sell a few vape related items. i am very good about not buying shit i do not need. except when it comes to vapes, cannabis, beer, and hockey jerseys/tickets. i cant help myself when it comes to that shit.

i expect to have an Air around mid Jan. really fucking hard to resist tho i gotta say. i LOVE my solo and know lil bro will impress.

I heard people saying that AA actually uses more convection than the solo. Is it true? If it is how so?

I also saw a comment somewhere on reddit where some guy claims that neither solo nor AA are actually convection and its just a marketing move.
What is true?

there's definitely convection going on, i have a turbo stem with just ledges to catch a screen and no glass 4 hole screen, threw a domed screen in once that set the herb farther down and not against any glass... still got good vapor. I assume that's just the hot air vaporizing it since the only thing it touches it the screen below it. Yeah maybe it's not pure convection like Herbalizer/FF/Evo but it's also not an Indica with primary conduction going on.

just got a bubbler. if anyones interested, made a vid about the bubbler here but i talk about the arizer AIR @ 2:00. basically, i mention that i tuck a little poker stick between the AIR & the condom...i know i keep calling the AIR the SOLO in the video...gonna be a while til i get used to saying that!

ive noticed that the bubbler takes away any flavor even on my favorite AIR/SOLO temps...did anyone else feel that way? i feel waaaay more ripped off the bubbler, i like how it speeds up my vape session by allowing me to "michael phelps" my way thru a stem instead of have a long, drawn out session. but i feel like the taste is compromised totally (as in, theres no noticeable taste - not, a bad taste). is it all the diffusion? i havent ever had a chance to run the AIR or my old solo thru a pipe like this before so i dont know if thats the norm?

Yeah water will strip the taste faster than using dry. A trade-off I'm willing to take considering my flavor chasing is at level 2 with a short stem and dry. Lucky you though the tube you have doesn't have a lot going on, no stemline to triple honeycomb so it won't lose taste as fast. Are you starting your sessions higher with water than without? If you are used to starting on lower temps dry and then slowly going up you'll get better flavor than starting higher with water. Lower temps with water still pretty tasty but it won't look as thick as higher temp. The terpenes (responsible for smell/taste of cannabis) are water-soluble, so when we turn them into vapors (and tiny molecules) and then let them get cooled down through water (which they like) some stays there. On top of that they vaporize at lower temperatures than the cannabinoids we're after so the taste is already going when we're at 300+ F.

well, that makes sense since I've been used to dry vaping only...i probably got spoiled by the taste especially with the "shorty" turbo stem.

but i personally tasted a dramatic loss in flavour.

Yup, very common and to be expected. When you consider the taste part it the first to 'come off' a new load, it makes sense it's the first to condense out of the vapor and get trapped......at least it does to me.

There's a difference between large bubbles (lots of volume for the surface) and lots of smaller (more surface for the volume). Cooling is effected too of course, but I think to a lesser degree? For more flavor, seek out the WTs with big bubbles, avoiding fine bubbles?

Hey guys got my Air on Saturday. Love it just like everybody else lol... couple random questions:

is it ok to close the attached oven chamber lid while the unit is hot? I'd like to be able to close it and toss it in the case immediately after use.

can I get a link to a safe charger for the spare batteries? I don't like switching them out just to charge.

Is the 10 minute shutoff a safety function? can I run it for 3+ cycles back to back without damaging it? I feel rushed haha

I cap it all the time right after a session on red and haven't had any issues yet.

There isn't a "safe" charger quite yet... Everyone on the thread that knows their stuff is suggesting to wait for the official arizer charger.

It is to save battery, there is another safety feature that will stop it from hurting itself. Feel free to keep running sessions, just be aware it will eventually start blinking red and you will just need to wait for it to cool down

How many draw's are you all getting with the air per packing ? are you packing somewhat tight or loose ?

I pack my bowl loose. A too tight of pack makes it a harder draw. I probably draw 1 to 2 times a minute maybe, I don't count. My session is until the unit stops - 10 min. I usually can go another round with my load until it's a dark even brown color.

Folks have suggested ( I think it was @OF ) using wet cotton to add some water to the filtration. Just place the cotton in the vapor stem above the herb bowl. Not too wet, squeeze any excess. I haven't tried it yet. Just spreading the word.

So after having to Chevy Chase the mailman down. Like Andy Farmer in the movie Funny Farm. Just to get my Air this Saturday.

Which was ordered on Friday December 5 and finally arrived 8 days later on Saturday December 13.

Like everyone else, i love it.

I bought 2 extra Arizer Air batteries and a black silicone sleeve.

I'm charging the batteries with this Nitecore battery charger only. That comes with a wall charger, car charger, and a 2 battery storage case. All for $13.69 shipped with Amazon Prime.

I start at green then go up to yellow. After the ten minute shutoff i turn it back on and finish it off on red. Sometimes i turn it off before the second ten minute shut off.

I usually get four 10 minute sessions before i swap out the battery. Using the same three temperature step up. Green, Yellow, then Red.

Having 3 batteries IMO is the perfect amount to have.

I'm not using the Air stems and mouthpieces. Only because i can't get any screens to fit inside of them. Even the straight Air stem will not take a stock Solo screen.

So I'm using the stock Solo stems. Which work great IMO.

For stealth I'm using a PVHES 14MM GONG. It does get a little hot at the higher temps. But i just sip it instead of taking long draws due to the heat.

I love the black silicone sleeve. For it's grip and protection. I find it easier to get on/off when the unit is hot. When i swap out the batteries i just push down on the top. Just enough to expose the battery cap. Then just push up on the bottom to get it back on.

I also like the belt clip case. It can hold the Air, one spare battery, and a capped 14mm Gong stem. Great for on the go.



The only issue I'm having is this. The inside of the battery cap is getting marked up. From the brass spring loaded contact pin.





I'm not sure if this is normal or if I'm closing the cap too tight?

If the battery cap is going to be an issue. Or if someone loses theirs. As of now Arizer doesn't sell replacement caps. Plus the serial number is on the cap. Which IMO was a dumb place to put it.

Ouch that sometimes happens on flashlights also, but is usually caused by the spring being to big so some people file them down a little , another thing would be to add some lube but i am unsure if you can do this with the air. It is not a good thing and can harm the device in the long term. I guess there is a design flaw here. i would def contact arizer on that.
