I've been waiting to hear back from them about app errors, I have a friend whose Mighty won't completely charge. Hes been waiting over a week for a reply. Maybe they're busy or Vatra might be off sick or something.

Interesting discussion on their response time. I sent them an email yesterday evening asking them if I could use a couple screen shots of the app. for a review I'm putting together on the Crafty and I already had a response this morning letting me know it was ok. The response came from Germany too.
Looks like their leaving the technical questions aside for whatever reason

His Mighty charges, but the last led never stops flashing to indicate full charge.

I picked up my mystery package from the post office today. It's another Crafty I can't believe it they sent me a second one. How many other companies would do that?

Why exactly did they send you a 2nd one? I'd be happy with an email response, so its like we are literally dealing with 2 different companies. Are you contacting their US or German branch? I think my suspicions were right that the German branch cares more about customer satisfaction and professionalism.
No customer service problems here either. I wonder if maybe your email address is getting sent to their spam? Could try sending it from another email account. So far 3 orders and 1 error, all dealt with in less than a business day.

It was US branch. My first crafty failed so I sent it back and waited for the replacement. When I got it it went bad the next day. This time they sent a replacement with a shipping label for the bad one. I sent the bad one back and when they got it they shipped me the second one.

This probably goes without saying but it's not strange that I was elated with the mflb, the pax and firefly because they each respectively are unique and special and did a superior job at vaping with style. When something better comes around and all we do
is gush about how much better the crafty is from every other portable we've tried-its not misplaced passion nor hypocrisy. It seems as if they answer repair emails right away as to not ruin their reputation but leave the bs questions to be ignored. Still not cool

It would make sense that repair emails are handled quickly since the person(s) reading those emails has probably been trained on how to handle them. I would not expect this nameless person(s) in Oakland or Hamburg or wherever to be knowledgeable enough to handle technical questions and those emails might get kicked upstairs.

Really sounds like a bad (extension) cord. Recently I had this issue with an inline fan. Plugged one, worked fine, plugged the other one, worked fine. Plugged both, bam! Smoke. Changed the extension cord, no more issues.

FWIW, W9 has a Titanium Coil that should operate as well as the standard SB Liquid Pad. Not sure if size is an issue - I don't have a crafty.

So I've been playing around with the WPA idea from elmomuzz in order to hopefully reduce the conduction factor of the Crafty (not that the conduction aspect bothers me but just fooling around really and messing) 
The idea is to insert the bowl from an Extreme Q into the Male adapter and leave the oven empty, thus sending heat through the materiel and avoiding contact with the oven.
So,
To make the WPA you'll need to slice off the head of the cooling unit, once its sliced you'll see that the hole is not round (you can actually see that when opening the cooling head and checking the hole from that side).
I have been enlarging the hole from the cooling unit enough for it to accommodate a EQ basket and placing it in that hole (ie. making the hole almost round but not too big otherwise the EQ bolw won't stay in its encase.
Observations after first trial:
It definitively do not fire like the original method (grass into the oven), slower to produce vapor
The vapor eventually comes nice and thick but still not like the original method
It does not reach the same heat sensation in the throat towards the end of a hot sesh (less irritable)
The flavor "seems" to last longer... (biased?!?)
The ABV is less brown
The HIGH, really really good, but better than usual...not sure
So all normal observations I'd say with the bowl been further away from the oven but many more trials and comparisons need to be made...can't wait
On the next trial I would like to fill both bowls and see how it hits...

Does anyone else feel like the liquid pad leaves a metallic aftertaste?
I just don't use them anymore to be honest. I know some people love them, but every single time I have used them, for the rest of the day I feel like I have a metallic taste in my mouth I can't get rid of.
And tbh, I feel like crafty does great with small sized loads as long as you tamp it well. Oils, different story, I guess you'd need the pad or cotton or some kind of rig to put the oil on. But as for small loads, I definitly like it better without the liquid pad.

i dont think i have ever tasted metal on my crafty using the oil pad

My opinion is that the oil pad seems to act like a filter that slightly either changes the taste or at least filters the taste. We know that it catches oils that some have reclaimed so not all
of it's getting to your serpentine tongue, Weezy! But some will say that oil collects on the Cooling unit to which I say: oil collects on BOTH the pad and cooling unit when using both-so double whammy when you're using both. You can toke without the oil pad but you can't toke without the cooling unit so I say: To the guillotine oil pad as a spacer! and a promotion to the half filled chamber nicely tamped down strategy !

Guys? Any of you think that the Crafty is getting too hot after each session? Especially with bigger bowls it usually never charges right after a session until it gets bellow 110C or something like that. And it still disconnects from the phone until it cools down… And it's winter! Can't imagine how it will be during the summer…

What is ground glass? Never heard that term. I'm a noob with attachments to vapes. Would be REALLY APPRECIATED if you can send me a link of the exact parts I need and sizes :-)
