This is Crafty all right!!!! I've been out of herbs for a few days and had an epiphany of doing a few draws on an empty chamber… Let me tell you, while the cooling unit was not really dirty, just 3-5 tiny loads in, it gave me a nice buzz, a really nice buzz. My tolerance is pretty low I guess since the herbs are scarce these days but wow, didn't expect that! :o :ko:

On the other hand I have frequent bluetooth disconnections when the Crafty gets hot, and it gets hot fast at max temp where I like it the most… Do you think I should contact S&B or it's frequent for you too guys?

I have a similar experience.

I run at 185 most times and on the 2nd or 3rd consecutive bowl it get disconnections and the unit will not charge for a couple of minutes.

The error I receive on the app just says 'ok'

I bet if I ran at max temps I'd have the same issue.

I'm going to email S&B this week and see what they say.

@Volteric, As @jeffsimp710 an E-nail is a big investment but worth it if you use it all of the time.

If you use enough oil with a torch, you will eventually find your sweet spot with the nail temperature.
The oil rigs get the job done in seconds. I cannot do dabs from a rig all day long, that's too much for me personally.

I like to have an out and about oil vape that I can puff on at will.
I actually mostly vape reclaim during the day and shatter at night.

The Crafty does a great job with oils, IMO dedicated W9 vapes do a better job.

The Crafty is an excellent herb vape. I would keep the crafty for herb and get a pen for oil only if you vape oil often.

If you only vape oils periodically, then for sure just use the Crafty! It does a great job and you wont have to spend any money!

All I am getting at is, you know how glazed the cooling chamber gets with herb.....imagine it with oil! Oil is a sticky business, I've torn O-rings in my Crafty cooling chamber taking it apart to clean it after using shatter.

I am definitely noticing the gunk buildup in using the crafty with shatter and I'm now convinced more the ever that a dedicated high end vape pen will be a nice complement. No sense in taxing the crafty. It does herb so well that I wouldn't want to jeopardize it and don't like having to clean it that often (if you use oils you really need to clean this at least after a couple chambers of oil/oil pad. Its great if all you have is a crafty but I'm seeing wisdom in a separate and dedicated device for oil. Thanks again for the recommendations!

If I was going to use oils and waxes in the Crafty, I'd definitely invest in a dedicated cooling unit for oils while keeping the other one strictly for flowers. :2c:

T-Dub think we could get a Crafty video of a complete session, standard mouthpiece in flattering lighting conditions.

I'm very surprised that Vapecritic has the only video on youtube he's hitting the unit. I have seen your massive drag Crafty video, and was impressed.

Nothing worse than watching a Youtube vid, they unbox it, pack it up, light turns green and then the video ends... Like..... you're not even going to hit it? C'mon now.

Dub I know we can count on you to deliver the goods.

Hey Ricchini,

Since I love to brag and you seem to be desperate for some vids, here are 3 you seemed to have missed, they're not the best but you'll sure get a gigle or 2

For those asking about # of hits, I know the strain plays a role but about 0.06gr was giving me about 4 good gits at 180c then 2 more at 210c, the 3rd and 4th hits were minimal vapor. Abv is milk chocolate brown. Im doing 15-20 second draws and always bring crafty into red when hitting.

Am I the only one who obsessively checks this forum hoping to to see the newest post to learn a new something or hear one more way somebody is amazed by this device?

Lmao! And I thought I was one of the only ones who did this! Guess not...

Would you guys say its better to put the oil directly on top the bud or use the oil pad? What provides better results ?

Depends how runny is your extract and how lucky are you feeling :2c:

Last night I went to get some groceries and took Crafty with me. Felt like:

EDIT:
Bummer :( Not sure how it happened. Karma hit me for loughing at firefly.

I have been letting my Crafty cooling unit build up resin for a few weeks. I cleaned it yesterday for only the second time. My E-nanos are still my daily drivers but the Crafty has been seeing daily usage. I have also been a little lazy about cleaning it as well and finally got around to it yesterday. I used ethanol, q-tips and a small container to bathe the pieces. Anway. it cleaned up very nicely and I left the remaining ethanol in a small metal dish and put it under a fan to evaporate. I have not had time to scrape it up yet but I was shocked by the amount of oil that appears to now be in the metal dish. It is golden and looks very tasty :) I will scrape it all up tonight and report back. I try for a few pictures as wee but I am guessing there are at least 5-6 dabs there.

Great Scott!
Starting to get annoyed. S&B has ignored my last 3 emails which are about the crafty application.

It was one thing to have the app done, and apple not approve it, its another thing if they don't plan on updating it at all.

I am getting annoyed because I thought S&B has been known for excellent customer service. Them 100% blowing off 3 emails now is the bigger problem IMO than "slow" app updates that may or may not even be happening at all.

EDIT: Just looked and the last 2 of these 3 emails were 4 days ago. I'll give them a couple days during this week to see if they will answer back. Something tells me if I contact the German branch of S&B they wouldn't be happy to hear about the USA branch blowing off customers. :/

Hey guys if you tapped the power button twice, is it possible to go directly into boost mode? I know it's a silly question, because you'll get best results using the two-stage temp adjustment.

Hypothetically though, what would happen if you packed it up and went directly into boost mode? I'd imagine fat clouds albeit limited in # of draws.

God I can't wait to flip my Volcano and swap it out. I'm not officially on Christmas break and I'm tryin to get crafty.

did the plastic melt???

by the way can someone compare the crafty with the elevape sv or/and enano (especially regarding flavour, cloud size and efficency, also how much material do you use and how much clouds do you get out of it)

thanks...

You know something is funny with them. I asked them a question LAST WEEK about why they use stainless steel instead of Titanium and they ignored me also. I was about to buy the crafty next week but this is REALLY making me second guess that. What kind of reputable company doesn't answer emails?

Vaked notion . . . starting to accumulate cleaning brushes and noticed a difference in 2 of them, much stiffer. Happens to be the one I was using to clean laterally on the piece that broke on my Crafty. No more lateral stabbing motions with the end of the brush. However with the softer brush I feel fine . . .

I just checked the storz and bickel site and it says the plenty is 100w but the crafty is only 27w. Anyone have any idea how the crafty performs so similar with not nearly the same watts?

Smaller volume of the filling chamber. Plenty is 3.4 cm^3 and Crafty/Mighty are 1.4 cm^3. Maybe different engineering as well? Not sure because I do not have a Plenty.
