Cheap enail?

Wasn't quite sure where to post this, so I'll throw it up here...

I recently got to try a friends dnail and quite liked it, so I'd like to get myself an email setup I if can keep it relatively cheap...

I'm fine with soldering and DIY so long as there's a clear guide on what to do.
I just stumbled upon this link
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Hot-Runner-Coil-Heater-And-Controller-Box/1896939600.html
But I don't know enough about enails to know if this is an awesome deal or a waste of money.

Ideally I'd like to keep it to under $250...
Anything over that and I'll just stick to the torch for now.

I have a 710 Whip that I got on sale for $100.
For that it's a huge bargain. For the $150 normal price it's still VERY good, but it edges on the territory of 'might as well spen a bit more' and get a traditional enail.
I love the 710 whip, I love low temp ceramic dabs and when I use it I don't even have it on max so the temp range (for carbed low temp hits) is perfect.
But I'd still like to be able to go to 700+degrees at times so I am still going to pick up a tradtional enail.

That said, thanks for the links and info in this thread.

I contacted the supplier of the 2nd unit in that post and got a pic of the rear and the following info:
HTB1fnf2_GVXXXXXUXXXXq6x_XFXXXj.jpg

1. As shown in photo (why do they insist on putting the male xlr socket on the control unit?)
2. The highest temperature can reach 600 degrees (temperature can reach 600 ~ 1200 degrees)
3. The coil diameter 20 mm size (optional)
4. Power 120 v, 150 w

The cheapest enail set-up I've seen yet.

Thanks for the info, how low is low temp?

I recently got to try a friends dnail set to 700f, and I was quite happy with it's performance, how hot is the Max temp on the 710whip?

Still quite interested in getting some kind of enail, I just dropped the cash on a sublimator, so I know I can dab with that, but after seeing a friends issues with getting it perfectly clean to keep taste up to par I'm a bit hesitant to use that as my primary enail.

I could always pick up a sub enail heater for probably cheaper than a enail setup, but I would still like to see if I can find a decently cheap setup.

I know a few buddies who would def be interested in an enail setup if it could be found for $250 max.

It doesn't need a digital temp readout, so long as I can reliably find my way to the same temp on a dial I am happy (just like a vape :))

I don't need super stable temps, just so long as it won't cool off too much in a hit to make my dab pool up.

I know getting a setup with a ti nail at that price is pretty impossible, so I'm thinking ceramic is the best option for nail material?

I'd say it would be best to find yourself either a 710whip or a good cheap enail like some that have been mentioned here and get a ceramic nail or quartz. You have a sub on the way (nicely done by the way mate! ;) ) so you have a Ti dabbing option if you really want to (but yeah true about the cleaning stuff lol), clean that sucker thoroughly and often if you dab and make sure you only ever dab at 10 or higher on the dial and that the unit has warmed up for 30 mins before dabbing (dabs need more warm up, perhaps unsurprisingly lol).

Variety is the spice of life ;)

@Frederick McGuire, the max rated temp on the 710 Whip is 600F.

I quite the enjoy the 710 Whip and it's temp range is fine for 75% of my usage.
My wife and I use it all day btw, it's been great.
But I do find myself still reaching for the torch occasionally for a higher temp hit.

The only real complaint I have with the product is the temp dial (standard lamp dimmer) has no real markings that are actually visible. This is easily solved DIY of course but an annoyance.
However, I feel most users would probably want the whip on max temp most of the time so it might not be an issue at all.

shit I am rambling, sorry, dabs :D

Did you watch the 710 Whip vids on the site? Low temp dabs are definitely a bit different. VERY smooth, like butta lol. The vapor is not as dense, but there is more. The lower temp dabs are basically like sipping milk versus gulping milk with higher temp dabs.

The ceramic nail it comes with is FANTASTIC. It also works perfectly with a standard flat coil.

I bought my 710 whip during black weekend for $100US... great bargain for that price.

I will soon be buying parts to assemble my own standard flat coil nail from e-nail.org
Turns out the wife can solder (I can't worth shit).
It's handy though slightly emasculating :haw:
