Hey thanks! Really appreciate the feedback and ideas. Have you vaped oil/wax in the crafty? How do you think it compares to the oil Vapes you recommend? Also, silly question: is there really a difference between vaping wax and hitting it with torch and nail. Seems so small amount that it doesn't seem to matter

@Volteric Yes my friend! I have vaped oil in everything capable of doing so.

IMO a dedicated Oil/wax device is better.
They are more efficient, taste better, and you know how it comes to cleaning oil devices!

I always use my persei or 8 with a session oil vape with the CORE (pass through system).
I like using the KISS carts and globes (especially with the nibbler G!) on any W9 vape when I'm vaping alone.

Yes there is a big difference when using a torch. You do not know what temperature you are vaping at, also it is not as conservative. Granted I love doing dabs in my recycler, but an electronic nail is preferable. This allows you to fine tune your temps. Dabs with a torch or E-nail will eat up more of your material, but get you where you want to be in seconds!

The same amount of 1 dab with a torch would be roughly 10 vapes from a KISS cart or globe.

If anyone asks me about a good oil vape I don't even hesitate. W9 Tech has what you want and what you need!

Unless you can find an e-nail for a reasonable price, it doesn't seem necessary. It is cool if you use it for a group, but I can pretty much time perfectly when to hit my nail. I do agree with you about keeping one unit strictly for oils though. I will always prefer a rig over an oil pen though.

So I would expect something insanely different than the crafty with oil/oil pad? Are you saying one of these $30-$85 dollar high end pens will be worth the investment over my crafty oil experience ?

I'm new to this site so you can ease up a bit chief. I'm trying to contribute here, so if you're just going to tell me to read shit instead of giving me an answer or a decent response, you can just not reply at all.

The question that you asked was a basic feature question that was covered in the first few pages in this thread as well as covered in depth over at the S&B site.

Members here are super helpful in giving the best advice that they can but I think it would serve your purpose to do a bit of research beforehand.

Just a bit of an FYI......

I think the arizer air looks terrible, it looks like an Apollo moon rocket in your pocket and apparently the draw resistance is only slightly better than the arizer solo. I also now realise iv been using my crafty wrong. Iv been putting far to much weed in the unit, i put the same amount i use in my E-nano and got a really fat cloud that gave me a far stronger effect than my E-nano. From now on I will be using far less.

i have to make a decission between the crafty and elevape smartvape... and i am also enjoying my enano a lot...

my problem with the crafty is that i read you need 0.3g to get good results... in my enano i use trough the day not more then 0.3g ... my normal load in the enano would be 0.02 to 0.04 and getting at least two very tasty clouds and 2 to 4 additional clouds (at 6.5 on the nano dial)... how much would i get out of the crafty (i know there are a lot o factors and it is a very subjective thing...) also how is the taste from the crafty compared to the enano?

how long is a session with the crafty (say loading 0.15 or 0.3 g ) how many clouds could i expect...

also the crafty seems to be a hybrid between conduction and convection... so do you have to finish the whole "bowl" or can you make breaks or do you have to draw all the time to use it efficient... (i own a pax and i always had the urge to take as much draws in a short time because otherwise the pax cooked my herb and it then didn t taste good (ok pax don t really tasted ever good to me) or i had the feeling the active substances of my herb decrease because of not drawing instantly until the load was done)

and if you can compare the crafty to the enano or the elevape smart... it would help me to make a decission...

i dont want to buy another vape which i don t like and i am not using and which is collecting dust...
i am in search for the perfect portable vape that will stop my vas... i am owning until now as portables pax, cera, vapman, lotus....

We prefer that moderators do the moderating on FC, so please don't tell someone when or what to post. If a post offends you and breaks the rules, report it and don't respond. If it doesn't then either ignore it or respond using a PM.

If you simply quote the first post of the thread and then ask to be spoon-fed without doing any reading then you should expect to be told to do some homework. Your post didn't contribute, it asked to clog up the thread. The rules that lwien quoted are there so that threads don't get filled with repetitive responses to posts like yours. The explanation you wanted is available with less than a minute of scanning the posts that followed.

I just received and used the Crafty, and I want to say thanks to all who contributed to the previous 91 pages. I read every post and was convinced to spend the money and give it a try. I own a Pax and a FF, and I will now be selling both or using one as a backup. If you're reading this and on the fence here's another voice saying this thing is for real.

My first draw was incredibly easy to pull, cool, and produced a cloud I've not seen from other portables.

@Volteric, As @jeffsimp710 an E-nail is a big investment but worth it if you use it all of the time.

If you use enough oil with a torch, you will eventually find your sweet spot with the nail temperature.
The oil rigs get the job done in seconds. I cannot do dabs from a rig all day long, that's too much for me personally.

I like to have an out and about oil vape that I can puff on at will.
I actually mostly vape reclaim during the day and shatter at night.

The Crafty does a great job with oils, IMO dedicated W9 vapes do a better job.

The Crafty is an excellent herb vape. I would keep the crafty for herb and get a pen for oil only if you vape oil often.

If you only vape oils periodically, then for sure just use the Crafty! It does a great job and you wont have to spend any money!

All I am getting at is, you know how glazed the cooling chamber gets with herb.....imagine it with oil! Oil is a sticky business, I've torn O-rings in my Crafty cooling chamber taking it apart to clean it after using shatter.

So as a rule I get 5 great hits (@200°) per 1 packed bowl through a bubbler, which really satisfy my needs and gets me (to be fair) always a little OTT but damn I love it

that crafty is POWER  David and goliath(s)

I just did a little sandwich bowl, OG Kush, bubble ash, OG, Bubble ash = 10 great hits, great for sharing :rofl:am toooooooootally baked :peace:

For me one negative about my precious, sometimes I feel a little rushed using it, don't know if its the 1 min that does it, but its like I got to go on and finish the sucker  asap ...

Just push the booster button once after each draw, that will reset the 1 minute shutoff and let you vape peacefully!:)

@VitaminM I use 91% ISO from the dollar store.

I fill up a small Tostitos salsa jar just above the cooling chamber parts.

I let it soak for about an hour, periodically shaking it.

Cooling chamber looks like new!

Here is the ISO after cleaning.

I sometimes use this same method to reclaim my oil. To reclaim it, either vacuum purge it, or put it in a 6x6 pyrex dish with a fan on top blowing away from the dish.

***make sure to do this in a well ventilated area***

Wait at least 2 days (or until ISO is completely evaporated) and scrape up the reclaim with a Skilletool or razorblade and put it in a dab dish or on parchment paper (never use wax paper it has paraffin in it).

The higher the grade of ISO the less water in it (IE 91% ISO has 9% water) The lower the ISO rating the more water is in it. It will still work, just takes longer.
You should be able to find 91% ISO at most dollar stores, or something close to it.

This method has always worked great for me.

Hope this helps!
Thanks doc! That's exactly what I was looking for and just in time too! Can't wait to get some reclaim!

No you don't need to put 0.3 grams of weed in their. I put in the same amount i put in the E-nano using the oil pad and get one hit fully extracted at maximum temp 210c. I use a very fine grind and it barely covers the screen. I do get a slightly bigger hit by putting in a tiny bit more just enough to cover the screen which again gives one concentrated hit and fully extracted. My only gripe about the E-nano was the amount of particulate i use to inhale, which meant I had to use a bong which lessens the high in my opinion. With the crafty I dont inhale any.

I use 0.1 regularly, could get by with less on the new meds. One thing I havent done much of is restart a session. I am happy to say that it was great. I was vaping and had to ditch it, picked back up on it later and finished. No wasted hits or taste :) I like that i can pack a bowl and use it through the evening in multiple sessions if needed.

Now my crafty is starting to leak oil out of the mouthpiece onto the cooling chamber fins... Time for a clean now. I suspect I'll have a boatload of reclaim. I've put about half oz of meds through it.
