Wow this thread has literally grown 25x since I posted in it about 3 weeks ago. After reading through half of it, I think I'll be getting an Air pretty soon. It's between that and a Flowermate, and I'm a little wary about the lack of information regarding Vapormax (they don't even have a website).

Anyways, since this thread is on track to becoming a practically unreadable length, might I suggest the mods put some of the more useful posts in the OP? I kept track of the detail-heavy ones up to pg 25 (where my attention span petered out). I would've loved to read all these in one go:

Leaving the stem in while heating has let me start at white (2), rather than green (3), while still having great clouds. Also improves the taste a bit.
This is how I do it in the solo and air. Great results. I love having both.

So I am holding off on buying the Arizer Air until Arizer was going to release the dual battery charger. As a ex-mflb user extra batteries are always handy and much needed. So is their a charger that's safe to charge these batteries with and able to charge two batteries with?

This is what the rep from Arizer emailed me when I asked about the external charger a couple days ago:
"Thank you for your email.

Keep an eye on our website at www.arizer.com as more Arizer Air accessories will be available over the next couple of weeks."

I'm VASing for the short AA stems to use on my Solo, seeing as I can't quite justify getting an AA
Any alternatives to the Arizer ones?

Isn't it agreed that the Solo/Air itself has effectively no smell, as long as the oven is kept clean? If I keep the stems sealed up, not a problem. Not a "better than" comment, but the FireFly, carried in ready to fire state, has the least smell of any vape I've tried.

But now, relative to the Solo, the smaller AA stems should be easy to pack up in little tubes.

This is ' sorta like ' what some members have been requesting for , a section for
pics and vid usage of the specific vape . Where we can quickly access the info
without sifting thru numerous pages of posts .

I also have a sneaky feeling that the " Sub " thread will become
the more popular-go to thread eventually . Therefore rendering the
Original thread to Vapor Lounge chit chat and comparisons . jmo

Thank you @Bouldorado and @pakalolo

A picture may speak a thousand words ,
But a vid can leave you speechless ...

I think there are many portabls vapes like that now, my Indica and Elevape carry essentially no smells with them unless you open it up and stick you nose directly in there, just like the firefly and air/solo. Actually my T1 was also zero smell, and that's older than those even

And thanks @pakalolo I think these best of threads will make it so much easier for people just looking for the basics of any vape, hopefully they can help control the growth of these threads so the same questions aren't repeated over and over...

I don't see that happening, since we do not allow you to post in the Best Of threads.

I meant , they may go to it 1st to easily access the pertinent info
and see the vids . They may gravitate to the " Best of " posts .
I know I would .

Don't get me wrong , I really like the idea .

If the goal is small (and it seems it is?), PV offers their stealth stem and lots of guys use GonGs directly. And Ed has several excellent short stems.

I don't agree with "effectively no smell". It might have very little, too little for you and I with our contaminated sinuses to detect, but don't discount the fact that anything exposed to vapor at all (including what you exhale) smells at some level to those sensitive enough to detect it. We are just not reliable judges of what they might be able to detect. Isolating the stems will lower the smell, but is not a reliable guarantee nobody will be able to smell them under all conditions. Some risk is sure to remain.

Yes, some vapes are better than others smell wise, but when the goal is 'none at all' that is not only subjective but not realistic IMO.

sorry for the shipping related question but if i ordered today from arizer... would it arrive next week sometime?

im in the middle of the US. my friends and i have set up a vape out day on the 23rd. one of my bros is looking for a new portable and i am bringing the vapes. would love to have this one for the day long session.

i suppose my solo will do to show them performance, but really i just want to order an air.

i may need a place to live after i order tho... whos got my back?

Mine came yesterday to San Diego in 4 days, from order to doorstep. One day before estimated delivery.

The state of your oven makes me cringe :ugh:
I couldn't let mine get like that ,my precious has to stay shiny

What's the best way to clean it?

wow glad things worked out for you @steama. I also had a good experience with arizer after getting my air. Since the shipping was supposed to be 3 business days, mine took 4 plus the weekend so I contacted arizer and ended up getting $10 off a new battery. Isnt much but it helps, and its nice to see they care for even the littlest complaints.

Every person and every company makes mistakes but what really matters is what we do when we realized we made a mistake. We should do what Arizer does and make things better.

Excellent point.

Sometimes politics is in play too. If it's the boss' son or daughter for instance? I once quit a job largely because the old man couldn't/wouldn't rein in his new (much younger Chinese) wife from wondering out into production and test and ranting '"this company would make more money if you people just weren't so stupid". No lie, that's what she told the crying production workers who would run to my office. Ironically, she no doubt picked it up 'at home' and since she came from an upper class back home she knew what should be done....... She had Larry's OW kid, a new marriage license in the promised land (her uncle had moved her to UCLA to introduce her to Larry the year before), keys to a very nice house and half the company.

Far past the replacement stem(s), I hope Arizer can prevent a repeat with another customer......

Order a couple plastic storage tubes from Planetvape. They work great for storing the glass stems to protect from breakage and as a smell proof storage container. I have 5 of them and they work great!!

Yes, soaking and agitating yor stems in ISO will essentially get rid of the smell, but it will come back after your first use. Order a couple of the Planetvape tubes and problem solved

I really hope they come out with shorter travel tunes for the air stems. The travel tube is barely too short to fit 2 air stems in, and definitely oversized for a single air stem. It's also what I would suggest getting, just hoping for a shorter one also

Can you guys plz post a link to the tubes from planetvape?

BTW i found a perefect smellproof case for the smaller AA stem! its this small Advil pills bottle:
http://pics1.ds-static.com/prodimg/414051/300.JPG

the unit itself without the stem doesnt smell at all and im really happy it stays that way!:)

Often companies will ask you to send a picture of the broken glass piece just to show that you aren't trying to scam them and get a replacement piece for free. But I agree, very unnecessary when it's a $10 stem, but I have encountered a similar policy in the past

I sure hope nobody takes that "doesn't smell at all (sic)" at face value. I'm sure you're not ready, for instance, to go to jail for the guy following that advice the dogs might catch at the airport? The risk may be much smaller, but it's real. IMO it's a judgement call each guy has to make, there are no guarantees of 'no detectable smell'. Only shades of gray. Risks and related benefits, along with costs, like most things in life?

You are 100% correct. It is cool to ask for a photo if it does not imply a person is possibly lying. It is also cool to place a slip of paper in the box stating that if the piece arrived broken a photo of the damage is required for replacement.

There are proper ways to speak to a customer.

Agreed. But consider how many guys might already have said 'hey, cool, maybe I can get some free stems too'. Not accusing anyone, of course, but I doubt anyone thinks that's not possible/likely? I sure don't want to pay any extra for mine to cover this (which is of course what happens in fact). I think a photo request (instead of making you return the pieces) is cool, but putting a slip into the box modifying the warranty contract is not legal. "Boxtop licenses" established that firmly. Such a slip is legally meaningless, ironically while the request is not?

For sure there are better ways to deal with the problem than the (what appears to be unauthorized) one first tried. Again, hopefully Arizer has fixed that so it doesn't repeat.....

IMO it's not too much to ask for a picture of the broken stem. I wouldn't mind sending in a picture if it was me. I've sent pictures along with damages before just automatically. There are folks out there that aren't as honest as you are. The first person you talked to @steama sounded rude. You were right to be upset.

Agreed it should be replaced. That's great Arizer is sending you extras.
