Arizer Solo

@longisland If its a locked glass joint iso in between the joints has always solved mine even the scariest of locks, or heat on one component.

@Sherman Water just makes things good-erer haha, but seriously its cooler, filters particulates and allows for even bigger smoother hits. Usually at the cost of some flavour. I hear a record playing...

I have a wood stem on order (which I believe is 14mm). Is any 14mm glass OKAY? What about the Pinnicle Pro or Planet Vapes water attachment? I've never used water before and am looking to try on the cheap.

Look under the cheap glass thread. Look for a bubbler. D020 bubbler takes the 18mm GonG or WonG. The Pinnacle Pro WT your head is at an uncomfortable level facing down. The D020 bubbler your head is at a more natural position. The FBomb from PV and the Pinnacle Pro WT is expensive and if you break it you are out all that money.

The D020 bubbler pairs very well with the Solo. It's only $30 shipped to America. Cheap enough to buy 2.

I am very satisfied with my solo; however do have a little problem. A few days ago I accidentally threw out my straight stem (i was cleaning it and threw it in the garbage by accident). Prior to that I dropped my bent stem on the bathroom floor. In any event I have ordered and am waiting on a wooden stem from Ed's. My question is what to do while I wait for my new stem to arrive?

Is there a way to use the solo with something else? No local head shops sell the solo and is there some kind of glass I could use? Is there a way to use the proporri dish?

Sorry if this has been asked; however can someone explain the benefits of using the Arizer Solo (or a vaporizer in general) with a water attachment. I have an Eds wood stem on order and was thinking about trying the pinnacle or planetvape attachment.
Nothing I can think of that you could buy quickly and use safely with your Solo for a stem, sorry... Glass stems run $9.99-12.99 usually (online and locally), the place I go to sells the stems separately as well, did you ask them by chance?

It's disappointing that a person can't go into a head shop in my area to buy a Solo mouthpiece. They have all kinds of glass pipes and bongs and such. Pieces that need to be lit on fire not vaped. The news of vaping cannabis isn't being spread fast enough IMO.

A year or so ago I looked all over my area to buy a Solo mouthpiece. I couldn't find any. It was even hard to find the Solo. These store either don't sell them or keep only a couple on hand at a time. Nobody sold the Solo stem seperate.

Order online with overnight shipping. It's expensive.

I live in California, southern half. The headshop I go to has been around since before I was born! They have a lot of devices, largest collection of vaporizers I have seen around, but most at retail price or a bit more. Pretty lucky in that regard!

All,

Just to bring back my issue from the previous page, I took some of your advices, and contacted Randy at puffitup. He is sending me a new cap, responded to me within a few minutes.

I'm sure this is beating a dead horse, but in my opinion, they are the best to deal with, unparalleled customer service. Randy pretty much got me exclusively when I'm shopping for vape things, and well deserved.

I just got my PVHEGonG from PV. Should I be concerned about a black streak down one of the air channels on the side of the bowl? See Pic Below, sorry it's a little blurry. It's like it was damaged when the slot was cut. It is definitely cut into the glass. I can see that this slot is wider than the others. I can't wipe the black out of it with ISO. I don't care how it looks, I just don't want it to make the GonG weaker.

For sure let PV know. Send them the same pic as things like that never get better with glass. You'll likely end up with a 2 for 1 deal.:brow:

There is a way, but it is a little involved. Click on the link below for an explanation.

I have a Pinnacle Water Tool that works well, but I prefer the D020 from DHGate. I believe Ed's stem would work with either of these.
Even though there is no combusting going on, the vapor can be hot and dry. The bubbler cools and hydrates the vapor. Sometimes using the bubbler too much actually causes me to cough more.(I think it possible that the vapor condenses more readilly in the lungs when a water pipe is used.)

I know I inhale more through my water tools than if I'm Soloing dry- I keep inhaling until I realize that I probably should stop. I prefer my F-bomb for one-handed use, and my bong for monster hits fast-Solo at 5, one session and I'm good for a while.
So I noticed that one of my Solos feels 'loose' in the buttons. Like, when I turn it on, holding both the buttons, I can feel them 'shift' into place. It doesn't effect performance any, but it's a little unsettling. It's the one that has a cracked bottom plate, so I'm just a little paranoid, lol.

And this is why there should be Vape shops everywhere so customers cam try it before you buy it. Some of these mouthpieces are plastic anyway and I think if the vape mfg knew that the store selling could let the person try it maybe they make a one time mouthpiece for their individual device. Some use whips; that's easy and cheap enough. The customer should do some research ask to have a session with 3 - so if it's a portable maybe solo pax the mighty and the store would know in advance which mouth pieces to get. You could charge by the session and the customer would supply their own product. Supposedly in NY very sick patients can get it from 20 hospitals statewide but it can only be ingested or vaporized. No smoking it.

So where does a paitent, maybe elderly, maybe having never smoked before go to learn how to use these.

I love the solo BTW and this posts probably doesn't belong here. Did I mention that I broke the side circ but saved the adapter?

Vitolo's house. He also makes house calls I think if you feed him........

While a fun idea, I'm afraid it would add a lot to the cost of the products? A tough nut to crack IMO. To some extent we try to do that here I think, but we get distracted by recreational use. That's also what we're here for. An anti blazing theme common to both groups. Perhaps something can come from that. We've got a lot of talented folks around here, but IMO it's going to have to be a team effort. Planning, scripts, editing, all that stuff to keep the focus right. Individuals like Linda:

are part way there I think. If you could figure out how to raise some bucks to cover the project.........

Just ordered the "new D020-D bubbler" from DHgate any thoughts? Also got the "2014 Hot Seller Glass Water Pipes Glass Bubbler Glass Glass Oil Rig Glass Bong Glass Water Pipe Two Function Pipe 30cm High 18mm Joint" from DHgate as well. I'm worried that my solo won't fit because it might be too close to the glass. Pls check it out and let me know.. thanks in advance.

They said there's nothing wrong with it and they are hand made so they will all be different. They told me to soak, what they said is a guide mark for the cut, in ISO overnight to remove the black but it didn't even touch it. I don't think it's ink, and the mark is deep in the glass and off to the side of where the air slot lines up. Can glass burn black like this from being cut?

Ink or paint are your only two options here, glass doesn't burn (it's already as oxidized as it'll get) it just melts. And the cutting process itself is cold relative to that. It has to be on the surface.

My guess is it's a Sharpie line, very tough ink. You might try a 'dry erase' marker, like for Acetate boards, they sometimes remove accidental Sharpie marks on the boards. Careful torching would probably also burn the ink before getting the glass warm enough to matter. Back off it you start to get the yellow flame from the hot glass, you don't need it that hot and the glass is getting close to melting.

It's probably very resistant to ISO and other common (safer) solvents. That is the goal. There are ones that will 'cut' such inks well, but they are generally very aggressive and dangerous and therefore can't be recommended. Commercial paint removers should also work, at least some of them?

Kind of makes sense if the marker is part of the manufacturing process. Can see why they are advising methods to resolve the problem.
So now that you have done as they requested and it did not remove the mark, you can follow up with PV. Describing the mark does not look like it is on the surface.
Good luck,

EDIT: OF has good points as to the marker being tough stuff. Good advise as always.
