So, this disgusting, oily, Vegemite sludge recovered out of Herc is safe to re-use? Does anything else need to be done beyond evaporating out the ISO?

Why doesn't everone buy the batteries on the w9 site? Are they too expensive compared to others? I am asking because I just buy straight from w9

If i had bought my persei from w9 i would have, i bought it used off someone convinced it was broken and the local b&m had lg 2 for 1 sale goin on.

@Mr Mellish
Its a little grosser to smoke 2nd time around. Its perfect for eating. Cap it up and enjoy!

@Krazzykid
I have never seen lg dbhe2 labeled icr (outside of a couple vendors) and the only reference to icr ive seen has been that despite being imr it still performs with similar specs to icrs as far as capacity and discharge combo.
"The one and only advantage to an ICR cell is longer run time. However, some of the new ultra-high drain Japanese 18650s are approaching ICR capacities (run times) such as the Sony US18650VTC4 with 2100 mAh and the LG LGDBHE21865 with 2500 mAh."

The only time i saw the lgs labeled as icr was on one or two vendor sites and they coulda been mislabeled... either way one of these batteries survived firing the herc for 15 min straight while i was in the shower, somethin was sitting on the button. Nibbler was boiling hot and my oil was fried, but no dead top or battery.

I've found that if your just ordering batteries, w9 shipping & handling price makes the order a lot more expensive than other sites.

idunno if they charge a flat rate or if that's just the price to where I live (ny).

As far as not ordering direct from w 9 Yes w9 shipping and handling charges are exorbitant.

They also require shipping to billing address and signature required. I don't know about everyone else but I have a job. I don't sit home all day waiting to sign for packages. It's VERY inconvenient.

how much can you load at a time in the v3 kiss cart ?
As little as you can or as much as you can. People all use the kiss differently. I like to load a dab size for a couple strong hits. My friends trow globs in the kiss and it works. Flavor suffers after a few hits. One of my friends treats the kiss cart like a hercules! Lol he throws about a .3 glob in there. It works but you still have to scrape wax back onto the ceramic wick.

@Mr Mellish
I personally would not re use oil reclaims in ISO. It taste horrible. Just not a good thing to inhale overall. I keep my dirty ISO in a container and use it for medicinal purpose. If it's really nasty crAp ISO with leftover residue, I just trow it away.

is it inevitable that their will be splash? i was looking at my globe and have a lot golden waxie goodness all over the glass. I need to find a small scraper that will have a silicone tip and small enough to fit in the globe. Is it because I used crumble or have bad drawing technique. Do you guys just iso the kiss carts, excluding the mouthpiece?

I have noticed one thing about the dark ceramic. It is my favorite. I have one that has a larger black ceramic rod. The thing is like a sponge. I broke it in with some tasty shatter and still get a hint of that taste after three weeks. you just need a few extra pulses to get the clouds.

@mixchu69 It may not be splash. Unless you have seen it splashing/bubbling up, it may very well just be claim. You see it in glass all of the time when you take dabs using a torch and nail.

By the way, that is NOT my piece. The amount of claim there is straight up disgusting. :uhoh:

Yes, They do work. However they are silicone and very soft. A little more difficult to work with than the W9 part. They may also be more likely to melt. All that said, I do use them.

Thanks bud, I can deal with replacing them with the cost at $2 for 10.

It seems a little darker than that. The bubbler I use with my maud dib gets like that, a lil lighter. Mine looks like honey. Sorry I have no photo.

Can someone recommend a dab tool to use on kiss carts since I am not supposed to touch metal with metal. Most dab tools come metal. I was thinking a glass or silicone (glass I can pulse it on the ceramic/ silicone I can smear on the coils). I need a recommendation for a good tool to use with the titanium coils.

Get a ss pick, like paperclip thickness, get your oil on that then heat up the ss a lil higher above so molten drops land on the coil.

Anyone know what the resistance of the hammer rod should be? And is there any adjustments for it?

I'm curious about using CO2 oil with the HR74x. will it work with this or is it going to run everywhere and make a mess and waste product?

The consensus here seems to be that you should use two coils for CO2 oil or just runny oil in general. Even then, you will need to do cool down hits after each session to prevent the oil from leaking into the bottom chamber.

What's wrong with a metal dab tool?

I've been having nothing but problems with my herc (sr74x) for the past week. Did complete cleanings several times. Now no oil is dripping in the second chamber, it seems the issue lies within the top chamber, with the coil. Its getting hot, but all that happens is the wax/oil melts. No vapor whatsoever. And the cart is getting hot. I take the cap off to see whats going on, and the oil is just bubbling. I made sure the coil was seated in the bottom and it was. I have no idea why this is happening. Any help would be much appreciated, or I might have to just put it in the drawer and stick to the kiss carts. :(

Is the gold spring pin connecting solidly? 3.7 or 7.4? If 3.7 it needs time to heat up. What batteries are you running?
