Help please which one to get (solo, daisy, lotus, log vape ?)

Why not? Having them ready to go at any given time is a huge advantage for me. Unless you know what it is, nobody would doubt it is just an oil diffuser so no stealth concerns.

Mine is probably 20 min. heat up from cold. It's only been cold once or twice though. The clouds are amazing by themselves, but then I factor in the tiny amounts required to get them, and it blows my fucking mind.

I don't feel comfortable leaving it on while no one is home for hours at a time.

t-tub thanks for response. The way daisy owners talk about that think makes me want to try it.

You have an impressive collection of vapes. How is the clouds with the daisy compared to those big boys you have?

Its right up there with them, it amazes me every time. The flavor is more "earthy" if you will than an electronic vape with the wood and using a torch. The vape signature has a unique "fry" aspect to the top of the head that I like. This is my butane/apocalypse vape of choice. Not a daily driver but a beautiful, functional piece of art that I really enjoy.

I've never heard of any problems. I leave mine on 24/7 with zero concern. You could always buy a timer though if you decide to go with a log and want it ready to go when you get home.

Thanks. I'm wondering if I'd be asking too much of the daisy to put her in the daily driver role?

Magic9, I'm just one of those people that won't leave a light on or the toaster plugged in.

One of those wifi outlets might be an option too

If "quick big medicating clouds comes first" I would definitely consider the lotus. I don't have the highest tolerance, but this thing easily makes clouds and after one or two hits, I am already feeling it. With the butane torch it only takes about 8-10 seconds and bam clouds. I was very skeptical before buying it, but I have been rather pleased since purchasing based on the speed and density compared to my battery/AC powered unit (Vapir NO2).

Also: the Lotus is good with small amounts of herb

Honestly, lotus all the way, got mine about 2 months ago and it fully destroys my DBV, solo, wychwood vape, frankly I HATE having to hit the DBV after the lotus. The lotus is BAM its fast you can vape the whole load in about 2 hits and it gives a waaaay better hit than the DBV. You can add as much heat as you want, its seriously a really neat piece of design. Plus a can of tane lasts just about forever versus batteries.
I was skeptical buying it as it seemed expensive for what you get but nowadays I just cant imagine not having it, its hands down the best vape I've used in terms of speed, extraction, portability, and most importantly, getting you really really high.

I wouldn't even compare the Solo to the Lotus. Lotus is superior in every way except stealthiness. It attracts looks and torch lighters are not so quiet to use. If you are looking for a home vape the Daisy could be even better from what I have heard. If you want it everywhere get a Lotus for sure.
The Solo? I would only use it with a Vapor lung as draw restriction IS an issue. It takes so much more effort than the rest mentioned to get a decent hit... With a Vapor lung it's a joy and you can finish a load in a couple of minutes and get ginormous hits. Bigger than the Lotus even!!!

Thanks everyone. Wow a late night/early morning swing back to lotus, like i said earlier i'm glad there are so many great choices out there.

If I was a watertool user I think the lotus would really stand out more for me.

Do you guys use your lotus as a 'pipe' or mostly with water tools?

The daisy design is neat to me cause you can see the vapor form. I guess something similar in the non-watertool options would be using the lotus with a j-hook.

I found this video showing off the lotus

Mostly used my Lotus as a pipe but it's at its best with a J-hook I think. With the pipe your feedback is your tongue as you can sense the heat and taste and hit accordingly! The feedback is outstanding! I could always tell when I was in overheat territory and stopped hitting it before combustion occurred. With the J-hook you rely on your eyes so you need a clean glass to enjoy it at its best. But the hits are more controlled since you can witness the vapor production!
I really miss my Lotus...

I bought the underdog vape on sale and haven't looked back since. You won't be disappointed if you go with a log vape.

Thank you. I do believe the underdog is a great vape.

I'm a little more undecided on logs at this point given that I won't have it out and on all day.

I'd say my top things I'm looking for in order are:

1) fast big medicating clouds (including time to turn unit on and have it heat up if it was put away)
2) portability in being able to pack it up and put it away or with me (most vapes are portable enough in this sense...but with some vapes like SSV you end up with a whip, the unit, stir rod etc)
3) able to use with small amounts.

The lotus I think hits all of those marks well, maybe even better then the daisy given it's glass pieces.

I did, it is the best way to ensure you are getting the latest plates. The new plate is durable as hell and I give it a lot of use, previous versions would develop pinhole cracks over longer periods of time and the new ones do not.

Mendo has excellent support as well, and stays very active and involved on FC.

The new high temperature cap for the Lotus is coming out soon as well.

i own an enano...
it can give you huge clouds, it is one of the efficients vapes (i do own), the taste is fantastic, it is versatile (its great to use it dry and also with watertool), it stopped my vas for plugin vapes (my volcano is collecting dust, i didnt used it since i got my nano), you can have also longer sessions with it (i am using 0.02 to 0.04g as a load and the first to hits are flavorful and cloudy (varying the temp you can also get 4 fantastic tasting hits) then i get another 2 to 6 hits clouds out of it...

i also like the lotus and it produces also great and fantastic tasting clouds... but sometimes i am combusting... and if i load 0.02 to 0.04 i get 1 or 2 great hits out of it maybe after that 1 to 2 more hits... so for my use and needs i find the nano more efficient... but if you searching for fast medication it would be no drawback, but i like to stretch my sessions and want to use as little as i can so i prefer the enano in this point... but on the other hand the lotus don t need to be plugged in...

at the end i would get both (because if there is no electricity the enano is not useable and therefore the lotus is a great backup... and it is also portable (but not realy discret because of the torch but if that is no problem (for example in the woods) it is realy great.....

i like both of this vapes a lot

now i am in search for the perfect portable vape which hopefully will end my vas!!!!!!!!!! (ot: crafty, elevape smart, grasshopper ;) )

I am about to buy a new vape and the lotus is on my list, when is this new heat cap coming out? Should I wait for it?

Here is the latest quote from the creator of the Lotus. Only you know if its worth the wait for you . . . :)
We will continue to offer the present cap in addition to the hi temp cap. The hi temp cap will fit on the current bowls (WPA and Al stem). It will be able to run at higher temps without scorching the wood frame and to be dis-assembled for 100% cleaning.
Hopefully it will be available in February or March.

Hi again everyone. A sincere thank you to every that responded. After a pleasant and informative email exchange with Tommy at Triihouse I decided to try the Daisy.

The lotus and the underdog and the rest of the vapes mentioned are all great choices, and my decision shouldn't reflect anything less.

I could still see myself getting any of them in the future....oh wait trying to stop the VAS
