Still having problems with my NO2. Just to verify...should fumes be rising out of my NO2 chamber when there is nothing in the chamber? No herbs no filter no nothing. I took everything out and when I turn it on fumes rise out continuously while both closed or open. Is this normal? I am not sure if it did this out of the box. When I put a filter in the chamber it makes these fumes build up even quicker

I cleaned it with iso again and vacuumed it dry a few times and the fumes are gone. Guess something was probably stuck in the bottom like Vitolo said. Hopefully smooth sailing from now on!

Hey has anyone ever experimented with trying to find some longer tubing that will work with the NO2? I feel like this could greatly help with the heat/dryness of the vapor.

Yes and it does. Vapir makes a 40" tubing that works great. Search "vapir rise whip".

The mflb tubing fits perfectly if you have any of that lying around. I use mine to rig all my portables to glass (the ones that don't mate naturally that is).

No worries! I got mine on ebay. I have the 1ft and the 3ft and they serve me well for different circumstances.

I'm thinking about getting the 3 ft to cool the vapor down as much as possible but at the same time I wonder if that's a bit too long

I use the 3ft when I'm super lazy. It's basically a slow drip into your mouth lol. Also works well rigged up with a backup for hiking! 1ft is also nice and is less to deal with but can be slightly harsher at higher temps (380+).
You can also buy this diameter of silicone tubing cheap on amazon I believe and then you could just cut to your liking.
I have the h20 kit which allows you to rig tubing up to mini plastic bubblers-which can really help with the dryness and doesn't reduce the vapor like i find using a bubbler can.

That sounds great! I was also looking at that H2O kit. Doesn't the kit its self come with some tubing? Good to hear those mini bubblers actually get the job done.

If they would've updated the design I would've been all over the v2. My 3+ year old N02 is still going strong, even after being used everywhere from the ski lift to the beach and surviving countless falls along the way. I've since passed it along to a good home, its like being reunited with an old friend when I get the chance to use it.

Love love love my NO2, and now 2 more of my friends has one (one just bought the new V 2.0). Such a reliable, easy, affordable, and efficient vape.
So I read about the top screen technique - but have you tried the sombrero sitting on top? It fits so well you'd think it was made to work that way
I don't really think it works "better" this way, but it does keep the herb lower in the bowl and is an easier to keep clean screen. (I don't use it that way myself, but my friends seem to like it)
But here is something I tried last night.
I came across some very nice hash, a very rare item in these parts, and without even thinking about it, I bought some. Then I realized I not only had never vaped hash, but I didn't even know if I could. I also didn't want to damage or muck up any of my equipment. So....
I chopped it up really fine and put in the little sombrero on top of the heating chamber (just like the photo) and turned it up to 400F.
YES, it worked! It took a few minutes to heat up and get going, but it produced vapor for a good 15+ mins. Not thick vapor, but a thinner and fruitier vapor that worked quite nicely. When I was done, I examined the ABVH and it was dark, dry, and powdered into dust between my fingers - just like herb. Hehe
I'll probably just mix it in with herb and use the bowl as usual next time, but it was an interesting experiment.

I have tried the screen like that! I find that it works really good for small amounts by making the NO2 more "convection based" and avoiding contact with the brass. I don't know if this was posted here or anywhere on FC, but you'll see something we all recognize here.
If you advance the video to 1:49 the NO2 shows up.
I still have my own NO2 and use it every day. My other vape is packed up and put away. No need for any other vape including version 2. Version 1 is still doing it's job.
Like many of us here, I've dropped it several times, broken the battery door, (it's taped on) lost the mouth piece 3 times and had to replace the battery once but it's still going strong. It does what it needs to do without a lot of cleaning or fuss. I gave up keeping a stem on it.
I put a full sized screen in the top of mine and took out that small top screen contraption entirely. The screen is about the same size as the top of the inside of the lid. It's in the mouth piece and just pushed it in there with my thumb. I get a few bits of materiel in my mouth on occasion, but the top screen clogs much less and the unit has plenty of draw.
