Sure… You get yourself a Lotus water adapter, you stick it in the Crafty bowl and stick the other end in a 14mm GonG whatever (J-hook, bubbler…)… Or so I heard. I doubt you will taste anything different though. They are high grade plastics they use.

Great! The $400 pricetag is pretty high for plastic parts. The Arizer Air is much cheaper and seems right on par with this. Or not?

I heard that too. Can someone please double confirm, post pics, videos? Just curious how the adapter stays on ... sounded that it is just pushed in? Was wondering, will there be room for herb, will the wpa hold on tight or would come off loose while in operation? I know we can hacksaw, clamp, jbweld etc. but if an off the shelf product exists, would be great...

Aftermarket Water tool adapters are almost a certainty for this vape...see @Ratchett 's 3D printing thread. If you don't like Songs, I bet other materials will surface eventually. Will take some patience.

I know PEEK is used in crafty/mighty and it's not really cheap..

also there is a wide range of plastics available depending on intended use..they all vary in price and performance, to lump them all together and say plastic is cheap would be silly.

Got my Crafty delivered today and just got back from moon.

Unwrapped the Package, charged for an hour and put only the oilpad in to dry try the usage. Messed with the temperature and boost settings for an hour and tried to get a feeling for the later vapes. Boosted temp to the max and made sure that all the residual taste from plastic and other manufactoring odors dissappeared and filled the first bowl.

First nice observation says that the bowlsize is exactly a trench from the MFLB, great for my further comparsions.

Very happy with the taste and the vapor at 180c default temp, vaped until vapor stopped. Really love the ease of use already. Also impressive that the taste stays for so many draws. Sure it is decreasing, but really slow compared to my other vape experiences.

Now wanted to try the boost but am somewhat dissapointed, going to 195c didn't get any more vapor out of the bowl and effects where slightly noticable. So I guess I need to crank the boost beyond 200c to extract the rest out of the herb.
Tomorrows bowl will be vaped at 170c and boosted to 205 to finish it off.

I paid $50.00 for a 1.500" OD, 1.00" ID diameter, 12.00" long, High quality acrylic, from the manufacturer, to make a tube for my Sublimator, I don't call that cheap.
I can get Stainless Steel for cheaper.

I'm interested in either getting a Crafty or the new Arizer Air... Tough choice.

I have a question regarding using the app to change default temperatures. I have a preference for higher temp vaporization. So I was wondering if you can use the app to set the default temps to say 190C and 205C? What's the highest you can go? Also, once I've changed the default temps to 190C and 205C, do I have to do it every time or will the new setting become the default setting?

Is the app easy to use and has anyone had any problems?

Any thoughts on cloud comparison between Solo, Solo Air and Crafty?

My usual routine is to attach my Solo water adapter, crank Crafty up to 395F and take hit after hit of wonderful rolling clouds. Honestly I love my EQ tabletop, but this hand held does just as well at producing thick huge clouds.

Then after it cools a bit I drop the temp back down to 365F and casually sip for another 15 or 20 minute session.

My only concern is durability. This is the only vape I use now. I hope it can stand up. And if not I hope that warranty will be honored over basic wear and tear.

If I could ask for any improvements, I guess like everyone I'd say a little longer battery. But I love that we have options in that area.

I would love it if S and B would release a "Deluxe" version of Crafty. I know it would cost 5 or 600 hundred the way they price, but a Crafty made of something other than plastic, even if it IS good plastic. A Crafty that you can run over with a dump truck and still use. lol. That would be my wish.

One spot I have noticed that could end up being a bit janky, we will just have to wait and see, is the charge port where the Orange pick is. Does anyone else feel like even getting a little ruff when plugging it in feels like a bad idea? Dosent have a "robust" feel to it, imo.

But Damn, love affair fully in bloom. If you are swaying, unsure whether to buy the Crafty or Mighty because of the high price, I would just say do it. Do it and your love affair will begin to. I've named mine Mila...TMI?

yeah you can set it to whatever base temperature you want and whatever boost temperature you want. I believe the crafty goes upto 210c. I never really had any problems with the app, and doest seem like there are major issues, other than the app maybe not working with android 5.0

on cloud comparision, solo stands no chance. the clouds from the crafty are that much cooler and less harsh. also crafty extracts heaps faster!

How long and approximately how many hits does it take for you to cash a crafty bowl?

About how much herb does Crafty's bowl hold, about the same as the Solo .15g or so?

number of hits to finish a bowl kinda varies on the strain I found. with crappy generic aussie "hydro" i get about 5-6 proper clouds. I had the good fortune of getting some white widow and i would get a few more than usual. I once packed in about 0.3g into the crafty and you get about more hits as expected and the crafty still manages to completely extract even without stirring.

yeap once you have changed the settings on the app they stay same between sessions.

the mighty has a slightly bigger cooling unit, so it could theoretically provide cooler vapour? I cant say, but someone who has both can hopefully chime in!

I'll answer what I can:

I get about 9-12 robust tokes a bowl.

The app allows to to set any temp within its range. Everytime you turn on the device it will rise to the last temp you have in the app. You also have a booster temp of up to 10 degrees more. So that means you could say set your target temp to 400f. Toke. Turn off device. Come back later. Power on. Hits 400f. You double click the power button and it rises to the booster temp you set. So if you went balls to the wall at 10 degrees your device will rise from 400 to 410.

I do this to extract as much as I can while enjoying the flavor for as long as I can.

Tracking showed they received it yesterday but I had not heard anything yet, I know I'm obsessive, so I called. You will want to choose option #3 then the # key on their system. The guy that answered was on the ball. He said to me "Oh, thats the one with the broken top. We are sending you a new unit." Just received an e-mail with USPS tracking on my new Crafty coming my way . . . This means free accessories since you just send in the base. All sins forgiven, starting fresh on Monday . . .

The Mighty is bigger to hold two batteries, the crafty has one battery. Performance is the same but the Mighty will give double battery life (8-10 bowls ). The Mighty has temp adjustment and display on board, the crafty has two preset temps that can be adjusted to what ever you want with the app to be your two preset settings. Edit: the Mighty charges at a higher amp so it takes about 2hrs from almost dead to full and it charges at a higher rate then it draws when heating so when plugged in it will work.

My Ed's Tnt Stems for the solo seem to hold more then the stock glass stems and the Crafty/Mighty holds closer to Eds TNT stems, however it is no problem to put just a sprinkle in the bowl as well capped with the liquid pad or not, seems to perform and extract the same.

The Solo works at the Solo's pace, The Crafty/Mighty perform at any draw speed you like, finish a bowl in two minutes or sip it slow for 10-15 min. I have the Mighty with the on board temp control and I am finding so many different ways to vape using the temp and draw speed, I am having great success thinking outside the box with the Mighty. When ripping through water I will do a few low temp hits (350-365) for great flavor and with many strains I still get decent clouds, Bumping it to 405-410f and then back down to 385f has been giving me lung filling rips with great flavor for another 3-4 rips, bumping it again into the 400+ range and dropping the temp again will give me more big rips with flavor loss and more harshness. Strain dependent I do this until flavor or harshness out weights my desire and I dump and reload. When I run this with no water I hardly ever go above 392f (some strains like a bit more heat so 402f for me), if I go much higher the vape begins to irritate my throat but because I can dial in my personal threshold for max temp for a particular strain I think this vape is the bees knees.

Cleaning the upper cooling chamber is a snap and is worth doing often which makes it even quicker and easier. I suggest getting the extra cooling unit or better the kit with all the extras so you can clean while enjoying a session!

I have come to the conclusion that a packed bowl vapes considerably better than loose fill. I was wondering why the vapor seemed so thin on a fresh charge, then I see the oil pad sitting on my desk. I get a pretty fine grind, 12 turns on the herb mill with this super dry herb.

I'd say we're getting 12 good hits at normal temps 180c, and another 3-4 at 210c. With about 1/3 a bowl and oil pad, I'm getting 4 good hits and another 2-3 at 210c. I figure the oil pad probably has some reclaim in there assisting with the number of hits.

Nice post GR, thanks for that. For me the battery life isn't a huge deal being that I'm usually only a one or two session a day guy. Therefore, the Crafty single battery would be okay with me. It is nice that the Mighty has more temperature control and versatility, but with the Crafty you can at least adjust the two presets. I Also like the stealth factor of the Crafty.

As far as harshness do you find the Crafty/Mighty to be less irritating to your throat as compared to the Solo if you were to hit both dry at say 6 on the Solo vs 392F on your Mighty? I think that would be comparable temps??

One question chaps, now you've beta tested the crafty, what 'beta test' updates does the crafty need?

Hey all!

Thanks to some help from a fellow member, I have a spare mouthpiece heading my way for the Crafty! This means I'll be able to make a Silicone Waterpipe Adapter!

Since I don't have accurate measurements yet, I had to guess at the dimensions, but here's a rough sketch of my 18mm WPA. This is a fully parametric design - which means once I have the physical mouthpiece in my hands, I simply need to update 2 variables in the code and recomplie for perfect fit


Hopefully I'll have a Crafty SonG on my Etsy store before the end of this year!

If the mighty mouthpiece is the same size, I don't see why it wouldn't
(Though the website makes it confusing - the spare parts are the same price, but they have two different part numbers... 04 00 MY verses 04 00 CY - which would imply they are different items. But their store platform sucks, so I'm probably overthinking it)

The cooling units are different, Mighty's is larger, but the bowls are the same and I feel they attach in a similar fashion. The difference is above that point.

Can we then conclude that the Mighty hits will be somewhat cooler and less harsh than the Crafty? Or is the cooling unit simply size appropriate for each device with no difference in harshness?
