If you like hip hop then this is the post for you. im compelled to recommend this phenomenal album to some kindred souls.

The Black Knights (a wu-tang clan affiliate) has put out a dope album which is produced by John Frusciante. The mastermind guitarist behind many of red hot chilli peppers best songs and as well as being a fucking next-level producer for a variety of genres)

here are some of the best.

Roundtable - layed back dark beat, classic hip hop vibe to it with some creative wordplay and satisfying verses

Never Let Go - this drop&drag hypnotic beat will pull you in, and the hard hitting one liners and aggressive slur flow is intoxicating. if you enjoy good beats and MCs then this track is a must hear, and the hook brings a tear to my eye, it's a gorgeous sample which contrasts very nicely against the evil undertones in this track. LISTEN TO THIS ONE

and the last track on the album is Deja Vu (so you know I endorse it)

This playful flow with a hint of dark sinicism is a special one. It grew on me after I first heard it, and it now gets played atleast every day due to its relaxed, downtemp vibe and truly emotional and real lyrics & energy

the whole album is great, I highly highly suggest that you check it out. you won't be disappointed by this wonderfully produced record
Very experimental from what I just heard. Going to check it out. I feel like you might appreciate this album, also very experiment.

Its really an album experience (probably just like the album above):

Boom Bip - Circle

My favorite album of all time is cunninlyguists - onierology please check it out if you got a chance.

That first track is so messy! Reminds me a lot of the first Kendrick song I ever heard, 'cartoons & cereal'
Really obscure and inventive music that just sticks with you..

and the cunnin' lynguist is a beast! nice flow. good energy.

i can see him spitting a verse to a Lorn beat.

Other artists I like are blue scholars, eponym & esta, and dj okawari

At the moment I am bumping a lot of AESOP ROCK! And his Hail Mary Mallon project released a new banger too! Rhymesayers is where it's at. Gotta love Slug, and much love for Eyedea too.

And then the whole Rebel Arms squad for those special moods, Immortal Technique most of em all.

Fellow Hip Hop heads! I've been looking for you all, if you couldn't tell by my username :p

Haven't listened to anything really recent lately, probably the most "new" artists I've enjoyed are Chance the Rapper and Kendrick Lamar, Acid Rap and Good Kid Madd City respectively.

All about the oldies though, got ripped the other day and listened to Only Built For Cuban Linx in its entirety, throwback :D , I love that old Wu.

Probably going to listen to 3 Feet High & Rising later, thats one of my favorite albums and its been a while since I've given it a spin.

Is J Cole stepping out and going anti Illuminati...?
This performance reminds me of some John Lennon, Jim Morrison, Nas, Serj Tankian, Bob Marley, Zack Dela rocha, 2pac, Krs One ect... a revolutionary mindset . I think he must be gearing up to go independent or just trying to end his hollywood career haha. Definitely heading the right route in my eyes he might not be considered underground but he keeps the message alive.

This thread freezes my computer.

I pretty much just listen to Australian hiphop now. I'm not a fan of the harder street stuff anymore. I like psycological stuff that hits like the hard stuff.

heres some stuff that may or may not relate to what I said above.

(insane!)

I can get into old mixtape tracks produced badly as long as the have soul.
(this song i think is great... on different level, as in its not typical but I like soul that it has. the sencond emcee is one of my favorites.)

if you have spotify check out "Azeem - The fire"

Loving the hip hop and loads of the tunes here. I kinda' feel Gang Starr deserve special mentions although they were posted a couple pages back. . . Still. . . DJ PREMIER!

True master of the hip hop instrumental, up there with Dilla and Pete Rock.

Also feel that loads of the UK tunes don't get heard enough, especially as lyrically, I think Life MC, Chester P and Jehst are some of the most talented rappers on the planet:

Cheers people, keep on loving!
