MiniVAP Vaporizer

I think I might have a faulty model.. but it might be too soon to say.

I don't get any clouds on blue, just pure taste. the taste is awesome btw.

All the heat settings after blue give me visible vapor clouds, but the vapor is really warm, On green after a couple draws it is almost too warm for me tolerate it. Maybe I just need to fix my technique? I hope I don't have a faulty unit...

Almost there...
Solid advice, thanks! Researching now...

I can say that this is my favourite WT to date!
Basically gave or sold my other ones and this is the lone survivor!!

Can be had for about $40!
Very little diffusion, so you get big tasty hits every time!
And here is a video of it in use with my first MV when it still kinda worked....

And a link to it on DHGATE.
I bought mine from the States a while ago and paid over $100...
Lesson learnt... Check cheaper options for the same thing first!

Sounds normal to me. It's just the non updated version and running hot enough apparently. That's why we all love water tools :)

What is your setup please? 2" hard mouthpiece or flexicone + tube or what?
I often use the 2" hard mouthpiece and on green or red, after some hard pulls it will
get so hot halfway up the mouthpiece, that I cannot comfortably touch/hold it there.
But the vapor is so smooth that it's fine and tastey to me and not too hot in my mouth
and throat, but everyone is different.

Longer mouthpiece will cool the vapor.
I typically inhale under my tongue and exhale over my tongue --get a different taste each
direction.
Under my tongue , on high heat, with big pulls--it will get very dry but fine.

Experiment with some different techniques and accessories

I don't get the opportunity to try too many different strains living in a non-herb friendly US State, but count myself very lucky to have access to what I do get. I have the opportunity to enjoy a higher THC strain, White Rhino, for the first time thru the Mini. Pretty fuckin' amazing. I know a lot of us keep saying it over and over, but I'll repeat it again. This vape extracts flavor like no other I own. It always surprises me and a new strain just brings the feeling out all over again.

I used a large basket and toked it thru the whole temp. gamut savoring each color on the way to red. I'm a bit couchlocked right now....but thats OK. :ko:

One thing, I've ordered the MiniVap portable, I'm assuming this means I'll be able to use it when it's not plugged in? I only ask as on one of the UK sites I can see that there's a 'full package' which includes a "Mains power adaptor for battery-free home use" - what does this mean exactly?

Also, do I need any extra parts to be able to use the MiniVap with a water tool? I've not used a water tool with a vape before but fancy giving it a try, I'd like to get everything I need in time for Christmas too! Any advice would be appreciated!

Sorry for the dumb questions!

Where exactly is the materials safety thread for the minivap. Is there one already or does someone need to start one?

Well, shit. I went looking for the thread where we beat up teflon a while back since it's been in the Herbalaire for years and I couldn't find it. Anyone else remember what I am talking about.

I'll keep poking around. A long time ago we decided to have materials safety issues handled in threads separate from model specific threads since multiple vapes can use the same materials. We didn't want the vape threads clogged up multiple times with similar discussions. No need to bring up the 'is brass safe?' or 'is teflon safe?' over and over again if we can nail it in one discussion.

I feel a little irritated. I purchased this on thanksgiving (Im in CA) and still haven't received it. Got a DHL customs clearance email today. It's been over 2 weeks. I have hyped it in my head so I hope I'm not disappointed.

The portable is portable, battery powered. It does not include the AC power puck to plug in. If you decide later that you want that feature, you can order it separately.

Water tools use---you may want to go back and read the last 20 pages when you have time but here's a picture primer.
The simplest way to use water tool can be done with supplied kit. You take a supplied flexicone which is a little flexible cap, insert a screen in the wide opening, then insert a wire basket with herbs . This forms a "wire basket module". That goes thru the cover which you screw on and then attach mouthpiece. That's for straight draw method.
For water tool, you unscrew cap and remove wire basket module and place in water tool. Then you just invert miniVAP over it.
See pics below: inverted basket and edge of flexicone shown resting in mVAP.

There are many other ways to use water.
Here's with a Magic Flight Launch Box whip that they sell:

Many many other ways to use water tools currently in existence AND more being developed.
It is probably the most versatile vape out there

I've been using the silicone tube and the cone with the attached screen.

Thanks for this post mate, what's the benefit of the puck?

And again thanks for the water tool summery, this thread is huge so that's exactly what I looking for, much appreciated!

Like MB said the puck allows you to make the mini a desktop aka plugin.

I had the pleasure of introducing some of my friends to the mv last week. 2 quick bowls of 4 month cured herb and they were horizontalized :ko: and telling me the herb had never tasted so good

Hi received mine today finally (silver) firstly are there any other Aussies with the MV on this thread would like to hear your comments. Got a few questions if one of you could reply would be greatly appreciated.
How long does it take to charge when new?
Have many bought the mains power adaptor considering it goes for 3 hrs or longer battery time (or does it?)
Noticed from a vid I saw where it was red, she had two tubes and the power adapter all came with it. All three seem to be not happening?! thanks

The charging station doesn`t have a indicator light or anything to tell you it`s charging right? ta
Mine doesn't have an indicator either I just look to see if the light on the cord is on.

Sounds normal to me. It's just the non updated version and running hot enough apparently. That's why we all love water tools :)
I had the Gold one ordered but then they asked me personally if I would like the upgraded silver one, so I said yes. Sounds as if warm/hot vapor is common with this thing... maybe I should look at getting some glass?

As was mentioned , the charging cord contains the indicator light.

The big black heavy piece in the cord is known as the "brick". The brick has a light on one side that glows red while charging and then turns green when charging is complete.

Red was a special color--not sure if any were really sold to the public but not available now.
Comes with one flexicone and one flexicone plus and no AC power (puck) plug in as that's an accessory you can order though

Love to know how you get em that thick? At the moment (still early days) Not getting huge clouds yet and Im sure if I did the vapor would be a bit too hot. Just got to get to know different ways for different vaps. It sort of reminds me of the CERA in the draw only hotter. I personally would prefer more vapor to air but early days or I might not be getting a tight seal or something.
. Still want a Herbalizer though damn it. I wonder if they will get there act together for a export model in the next ten minutes LOL

I get this atomic perc, imo it's not the better for the MV cause, even if it's larger the D020 it's not enough a big can to cool the vapor EXCEPT if you add an HT or a longer mp (or a whip àla Jambandphan).

So I prefer to use mine with my nano, for the MV I choose my bigger can or a double filtration setup!

Well after trying different combinations I couldnt get around the "priming" of the convection technique affecting my diaphragm AGAIN. So after getting excited like a kid to get now Im gonna have to sell or swap it. Used this new silver one maybe a dozen times too many. I dont like water tools since they take away the taste and just irritate my guts more so I gotta stick with fan assisted from now on. Solo being the exception, for whatever reason. If I was ever to get my hands on a Herbie and it worked ok then it would have to satisfy me that the vapor of it with fan assist would have to be better then the vapor from the fan assisted Extreme Q which I not long ago off loaded. Is it??
