The reason I jumped to the air and asked about it, is because its another vape Im thinking of getting, was wondering if the air swappable batteries are going to be similar to your firefly experience.
The only frame of reference I have for abstraction right now is the solo, as its my go to vape, was wondering how much better the crafty was at abstracting the goods

The Mighty/Crafty extract much quicker then the Solo does and lets you hit it at any draw speed you want. I can rip through a tight packed bowl in less then 3min or I can nurse it for 15min On the Mighty/Crafty. If you are happy with the Solo experience then the Air with a few batteries gives you a pocketable Solo. IMO the Mighty/Crafty is a vape that delivers a better vaping experience.

I have encountered an issue after 4 hours of use. Suddenly I couldn't enable boost mode, the led light was flashing quickly red when warming and green when warmed. It would not shut down after one minute. In fact, I drained the battery by letting it sit. Rapid blinking of no specific color is not covered in the manual and I guess a lot of you guys would even prefer it that way. to just stay on. So what the hell, did it overheat? The app did not say so, and it started when I used it after 30-60 minutes of charging to full. All is well again after I drained it to zero btw.

That seems strange indeed. Let us know if it happens again. I'd be thinking of sending it in for repair if it happens again.

So I have left my Cooling unit (the left over of the one I cut to make a WPA) in Alcohol 96° for 24h and its all good. Rinsed off and that's it, no signs at all of any attacking or melting or stinging or whatever...I will leave the unused part of the cooling unit in it for a month and see if anything happen to it...to be followed
When looking very closely at the hologram you can see that it is composed of many tiny half bubbles that act as magnified glass, fly eyes styles .
Actually I'm not sure it should be called an hologram as it is not really 3D but rather an image placed in the background giving us the illusion of distance and that its moving due to the eye travelling over all the half spheres acting as reflectors of some kind. (not really well explained, sorry) So some sort of 3D

13 hours in and I so love this thing. I could list pros all day long, but the free draw and versatility combined with Craftys amazing extraction quality make this vape a grand slam for me. My usual routine is to attach my Solo water adapter, crank Crafty up to 395F and take hit after hit of wonderful rolling clouds. Honestly I love my EQ tabletop, but this hand held does just as well at producing thick huge clouds.
Then after it cools a bit I drop the temp back down to 365F and casually sip for another 15 or 20 minute session.
My only concern is durability. This is the only vape I use now. I hope it can stand up. And if not I hope that warranty will be honored over basic wear and tear.
If I could ask for any improvements, I guess like everyone I'd say a little longer battery. But I love that we have options in that area.
I would love it if S and B would release a "Deluxe" version of Crafty. I know it would cost 5 or 600 hundred the way they price, but a Crafty made of something other than plastic, even if it IS good plastic. A Crafty that you can run over with a dump truck and still use. lol. That would be my wish.
One spot I have noticed that could end up being a bit janky, we will just have to wait and see, is the charge port where the Orange pick is. Does anyone else feel like even getting a little ruff when plugging it in feels like a bad idea? Dosent have a "robust" feel to it, imo.
But Damn, love affair fully in bloom. If you are swaying, unsure whether to buy the Crafty or Mighty because of the high price, I would just say do it. Do it and your love affair will begin to.

The EQ works just as well for you hey?
The EQ has been my daily driver for over 2 years and guess how many time I've used it since acquiring my Beloved Crafty, only 2 times and those were only for comparison purposes.
I've always been really happy using my EQ through the Elbow through bubblers but the Crafty for me has denser, cooler clouds at lower temperatures, I can really take a huge hit with the Crafty. I used to leave my EQ on but with the crafty heat up time, there is no need, its almost vapor on demand (well within the 2 mins of warming up that is), with the crafty the vapor also comes out instantly as opposed to have to suck on air for the best part of 8-12 seconds before having any vapor enters the bubbler.
Bottom line, the EQ is great, works well (elbow filling), always loved it
BUT
The Crafty is on another level!
Bottom line, YOU know when you've been CRAFTIED!!!
Mine's a guy and is simply called Buddy, cause with the Crafty you don't need nobody else, The Crafty IS your best Buddy

UPDATE!!
I contacted S&B Monday to tell them my replacement Crafty had broken less than 48hrs after I got it. They responded saying they would ship out a package including a shipping label to return the bad unit. So I'm thinking great I don't have to pay shipping this time but now I've got to wait for the label which means an extra few days without a Crafty. Couldn't they just email me the label and save me the wait? On the day of delivery USPS leaves a note saying there was a signature required. I think, WTF! Why require a signature for a shipping label? Then it hit me, maybe they sent the replacement with the label. Went to the post office this morning to pick it up and indeed they sent the replacement.
I couldn't be happier with there customer service. Now I'm just praying for no more issues.
It seems the story doesn't end hear. S&B has shipped me another package. What could it be? I don't know but I can't wait to see!

In terms of effect, my first night was a bit disappointing.
Last night (night two), I started with a bowl that had already been spent at base temp. I kicked the base temp up by 5C, then killed the bowl at boost temp. This was followed by a fresh load that went through base temp until there was very little vapor (5-6 draws).
What a difference that 5C makes! It was like a totally different device, with hammer mode engaged.
Still not getting the love for the taste yet, though. The first draw is nice and seems to deliver the essence of the plant but after that, it starts to taste like all the others (kind of toasty).
Still loving all the different feedback loops. The vibrate on hitting temp feature is a big winner. The technique independent way in which it thoroughly browns the material is excellent. The no-brainer method of extracting at a given temp until there is no vapor is so simple but is something I've not been able to pull off with other vapes.

I now have 3d Crafty logos on my USB battery pack and space case.
