At the top of the trench I have noticed a build-up of a solid bunch of gook.
Can this be removed?

I have used ISO on my other vape, the Iolite, to loosen gunk from the screen which is removeable for a soaking.

Any suggestions for maintenance of my mflb and getting rid of this hardened gunk?

So I've already modded the PA to give it a little more robustness.
Ya it's hokey but I'm over paranoid ...
Serves 2 purposes
1. It gives added strength to the connection
2. Gives a great hand hold for pulling and handling the batt

Ordered the PA on Saturday. Just received an email from Magic Flight saying it would ship tomorrow. WAHOO!

Side question for warranty people: Did you receive any communication from Blisssville our Magic Flight confirming your old box was received and your warranty was still intact? I sent mine certified mail which indicated it was delivered a week ago but I haven't gotten final confirmation, should I expect to see anything from them?

Your most welcome! I've been using this thing all day, love it.
The mod has been working great, gives me a good positive grip on the batt and I feel better knowing that piece isn't going anywhere, it's tight! Let's hope it holds.
Might look funky but it's utilitarian like the box right :brow:

I'll admit that I'm pretty much a noob.

That being said, I have a question about using different types of herb in the LB. I recently bought some sort of kush strain and I'm having a difficult time getting it to grind fine enough to use in the LB. I find that the herb doesn't brown evenly (possibly because of the courser grind?).

Is this typical? Do others experience the same thing?

Sorry if this is off topic, but I don't know who else to ask.

I've had herb that has more moisture making it harder to get a fine grind. If you can't let it dry further naturally before grinding you can put in LB, take a few draws to dry the herb in the vape. Then dump it out, re-crumble and re-trench it... you'd be amazed at how well that works. Also good remedy if you have a grinder that just doesn't do fine enough for the LB. The difference in the amount of vapor with a fine grind is huge for sure.

Yeah, I've actually been toying with the idea of trying to dry it out more. That's a good suggestion for using the LB to dry out a load...thanks Lo!

I just got my beta power adapter today and I have to say it's amazing. Nicely crafted, seems sturdy, esthetically pleasing. It's a surprisingly different, better experience with the adapter than with batteries. Cleaner tasting and thicker moree plentiful vapor than I was getting with my powerex 2700s. Not having to adjust to the fading of a battery after each draw is also really nice. Much more precise hits.

Highly recommended.:cool:

if your herb is moist/fresh/too sticky and doesn't grind... load your grinder, throw it in the freezer for 5 minutes or so, then twist it up. works every time.

My batteries are to be taking too long to recharge, I'm afraid it will affect my tolerance. :uhoh: I'm getting by on half a trench, using all 4 half charged batteries. ...could be worse...could have no meds... :rolleyes:

I sometimes get people telling me they smell weed strongly when I use my mflb. Anyone have this problem/know why for sure? I have a feeling it either happens due to fresh herb or exhaling too much vapor or both. Ussually occurs when I have a new trench.

The fresh herb in my opinion is much more pungent than exhaled vapor. :2c:

Sorry i havent been on here in a while. When are the PA's supposed to be on sale to the public? I remember magic flight saying sometime around late march but it is now late april.

great idea. I know how connections can get bumped and wiggled.......this solves all that.....should have mine and a couple of days......just got a confermation of the FREE PA they are sending me for review...I paid for one but the canceled the order and sending me a free one so as soon as I run it through its paces Ill have a Video up next to the MFLB vid I did.........cant wait.
