Discontinued The Hammer Vaporizer

@Check I got the hammer back in april and just recently picked up the vapman. I feel like the hammer will give u more hits off the same around the same amount of herb. I also think the hammer would be easier for driving just, i tried it once but found it was a bit much for me to mess with while trying to drive safe. The vapman requires 2 hands to use and attention to where u point the torch so i dont think its good or safe for driving. I use the pnp for the road just pop preloaded bullets in and out, and no manual heating to focus on. Both the vapman and the hammer r great for small loads i like to use the concentrate screen in the vapman to vape tiny small amounts. For what ur looking for i would suggest the hammer and its only $69 with free conus shipping for the new hammer pro.

How does the hammer compare to the vapman as far efficiency? Im in need of a vape that can perform with small amounts of material and can be used with ease while driving, and this seems like it may just be the one I am looking for. For those of you with The Hammer, does it fulfill my criteria?
Even if I like the Hammer I don't think it's a good unit to use while driving, not really stealth if you meet cops, for this purpose a battery powered unit might be better!

If you meet the cops you're screwed by smell. I find the biggest inconvenience of the TVape and Imags and other is leaving the vape in my car and coming back to a car that smells like weed. Luckily the Hammer stays pretty clean even with oil usage so I can discard the 10 dollar stem but keep the Hammer. Even my Tvape battery smells a bit.

Though I prefer the FW while driving, quick 20 second heatup with 7 second heat ups for new hits.

I've went months using the Hammer in the car, the on demand factor make it convenient for car usage for me, I dislike feeling like I must take this hit now or my vapor will be wasted. But still suggest Firewood over Hammer for car usage. It's nearly the same usage style except the Firewood is stealthier.

I have both the hammer and the vapman. They both perform very well with small loads. i use them both daily, if driving i would say go with the hammer. although they perform well with small loads in my opinion the vapman will get your more medicated off a small load and i am sure all the owners who have both vapes will tell you the same thing. I have both i like both and i am probably will be getting version two of the hammer.

I 100% agree with this statement. I Use both daily and love them both very dearly. But the vapman for me works better on less and gets me where I want to be faster with ease. Both of them are amazing fast efficient vaporizers so you'll be happy ether way. I two will be buying the new pro even if much hasn't changed but I love my hammer that much. I have 2 of each so that should let you know how awesome I think they are.

Ok, you are not a fan of it but it don't need a 30s heating between each hit, I only heat it 30s for the first time and after you get crazy clouds with a 10s heating time max.

After that I'm agree with you there is lot of more usefull butane powered vapes...the Hammer is designed to produces large clouds and to be efficient, not really to be stealth and quick, and since it needs a long first heating time it's more a session vape than an "one hitter quitter", although the sessions are short (2 or 3 hits) cause it extracts the goodies quickly.

About the IG campaign I'm agree with you but it was the same about the VXL Evo, the Inhalater 05 and maybe others I don't remenber so it's not new

edit: they call it the hammer, it's not a gentle and sweety device, it's made to break your face with a massive extraction....and did you try it as a nail?.....trully enjoyable way to dab!
Hi ppr,

I was looking at your signature and what is the emoticon for persei/core/hercules stand for? It looks like a chemistry project

I saw vape life video. Is that the only way you can do wax or is there a straight adapter without water like the herb adapter?

I think more users should use their Hammer with conduction, I'm hoping when more Hammer Pro users are amongst us they will utilize this method since the airpath is now isolated. I'm very curious how the Vapman users feel about its efficiency after trying this method.

Just put a pellet in the heat exchanger on the side you'll connect your stem to. (I normally pack the nug in with a chopstick to ensure it stays.)
Set your dial to 75‰ through 110‰ for quick heat ups or extractions. If you prefer lighter temps or actually having abv afterward you may want your dial around 10 through 40 percent.

Give a good 7-15 second heat up, then start with a slow inhale. The next hits should be good with a 3-10 second preheat before draw. I haven't seen any fire indicators of combustion only ended up with black abv. The taste can get familiar.

Here's usage with the my dial at max, I was low on butane and you could probably hear the hiss drop off drastically.

Here's a video of my dial around 25 percent,

You can use cotton or ss wool (my personal choice). Convection dabs are great and can provide much more than the two hits I took for the video.

This video was done with cotton, you can see it in the bowl end on the stem

Any video or detailed pictures about how to replace the igniter on the hammer? My replacement one should be here when I get home this weekend so I'm trying to get a jump start on figuring out how to do it.

Hey @Scott A , Sorry it took so long but here you go. Just take it one step at a time it's really not that hard.

Items you will need:
1. #1 or #0 screw driver (for 10 large screws)
2. #00 screw driver (for 4 small screws)
XiUpTKEl.jpg

1.) Using your larger screw driver. Start by removing these six screws and take off the top portion. (How do you like my high tech. skills here?)
JFs4sAll.jpg

2.) Next the trigger can be removed by pulling up and out.
eFaNtbNl.jpg

3.) Using your #00 screw driver take out the four screws holding the "heating chamber".
f1crsoSl.jpg

4.) Now you can remove the heating chamber by pulling up.
rr4ZaAil.jpg

5.) Next remove these four screws
kIo6TUFl.jpg

6.) Using your finger nail separate these two parts carefully.
C24WMJPl.jpg

7.) Here is where you want to take care not to lose any pieces.
Pull off the front.
GBicgWpl.jpg

8.) Next remove the back
CzUVivjl.jpg

9.) You can now remove the igniter and "torch head" from the fuel tank.
sbxKukkl.jpg

10.) Straighten the igniter so it can be slid out of the "torch head"
d8DE1YDl.jpg

11.) Remove igniter
ltBDUVKl.jpg

12.) I don't know if your new igniter will have these but if not you will want to swap these little "sleeves" before you re-install the igniter.
I2380YKl.jpg

13.) With your igniter re-installed in the torch head you can now reverse the process and once again enjoy The Hammer.
sbxKukkl.jpg

Oh shit:doh:! I just noticed I forgot an to include an important step for The Hammer igniter replacement.

Upon re-assembly of The Hammer do not straighten the igniter (Image 1) until the "middle housing" with the four screws (Image 2) has been assembled.

Image 2 - middle housing

Sorry it took 15 17 photos but I didn't want to leave anything out even though I tried to simplify it the best I could.

Happy Vaping!!!

mod note: Omitted steps merged

@VAPEHUNTER is it possible to modify or switch out the spring on the trigger? I've always found it unnecessarily stiff...

I really don't know enough about igniters to know how to modify them. But being that the "trigger spring" is inside the Hammer igniter. If you replace the igniter you replace the spring.
The igniter in my Hammer and in the above photos is not the original Hammer igniter. I took it out of a "Bar-B-Q lighter" after my original hammer igniter stopped igniting.

Well I figured my ignitor would be here by now but apparently it got sent out in a plain envelope with a damn stamp on it... seriously with the price of flat rate 2 day shipping with tracking why wouldnt more companies take advantage of it? Its dirt cheap and its one of the easiest ways to make your customers happy.

I got everything back together but I seem to have lost this piece. How important is it? It still wont ignite but I know its getting enough gas, I can light it with a lighter.
