Discontinued Inhalater INH05/5S/6

But I like it!
@Old School - I'm back already! I had a chat with Greg yesterday. As you mentioned the warranty, at 2 years, is great. The thing that bugged me was that out of 28 days of ownership the unit has been with me and useable for about 5 of those days. When it works it works great - it's easily the best portable I've ever used, and I've not used many. Inhalater informs me they have less than a 4% error/issue rate with their units, so it's just my bad luck that my specific unit has required 2 repairs so quickly, which takes a lot of time.

So, after some discussions with Inhalater they have agreed to, in the event of a failure requiring a shipment back to the shop, that Inhalater will immediately ship out a replacement unit with the RMA info. This way user downtime is as short as it possibly can be, and Inhalater has likely the strongest return policy amongst vapor manufacturers. I think it's a win/win for everyone!

Now it's time for Inhalater to get out there and ensure everyone else is aware of this great new policy :)

Are you really sure thats what you want to do....... They are now standing behind their product with a 2 year warranty... The USB has been rock solid with the introduction of the 05 model and from the sounds of this most recent review that hiccup with the charging IC has been nailed down as well..... I don't know.

I think you'll be back...! mild pun intended...ha ha :peace:

Howdy everyone. I got my inh05 a little over a month ago and have been running it nonstop. I felt it was time to me to write a review, I really appreciate the time everyone else took to write reviews. I previously was using an M3 cloutank and was so frustrated with it. The inh05 is everything I hoped it would be and more. It's ease of use and low maintenance are some of my biggest praises, not to mention my experience is much more powerful and longer lasting. My vape material lasts nearly three times as long than with using the fake vape pens. I'm already saving money due to using this device. I love everything about it. I do find it to be too hot above a 5 and thus I use it with an old bubbler. I really want to get a multiarm bubbler like I've heard some talk about using here. I'm thinking I should probably get a water tool adapter as well. Are the glass capsules for sale yet? I really would like to use it without a bubbler sometimes but my lungs and lips cannot handle that hot air. I'm really hoping those glass caps workout well. I've run about 2 ounces through it and my bubbler and I am looking to reclaim some of that sticky goo from the capsules. Can someone post a link to a previous discussion about reclaiming the capsules and bubbler sticky? I'm also interested in your favorite ways to use the ABV material. I'm thinking brownies. Thanks again to everyone who posted their reviews and convinced me to make my best recreational purchase yet.

To Old School. I think it was close to 8 to 10 sessions. I used it 3 times the night before and did not charge it and than I used it 5 times and did not charge it thinking I had a few more times. WHen I went to use it again it was gone so I think I got 8 sessions but it could have been 10.

Congrats on a great purchase! For the heat issue I put a 3" piece of silicone whip on the end of the capsule and can run it at 7 without issue. On a cold evening I can run to 9 with the whip if I'm outside. One benefit I found with the silicone whip is that it seals perfectly on a 14.4 female on a watertool or bubbler, so no requirement to fiddle around with a bunch of other pieces to make it work.

My ABV stash is getting bigger (EQ does tend to use a lot), so I've been putting a tblspoon or two in with a brekkie smoothie for added fibre and also a pleasant feeling of well-being. I sometimes make budder out of it, and instead of straining the ABV out I put the whole thing in with the brownies. There tends to be a good kick left in the ABV, even if it looks pretty dark...

I've been using my Vapir NO2 as a portable again. The charging light quit working on my INH05. I was considering getting the S upgrade, as well as the new WT adapter, but now I think I'll use the cash on another portable for a spare. I'm getting used to the mobility that the INH05 allows, but it's only really good when it works. As it stands now it's spent more time in the shop than it's spent at my house being used.

On the plus side Inhalater has been pretty good about the repair work. Which is to be expected. I was kinda hoping for a price break on the 05 upgrade, since it had to be sent back for another repair anyways, but it's still pretty much full price, so why upgrade something that keeps failing? With confidence getting lower I'm going to spend the money that was going on an upgrade to instead pick up a backup stealth unit from another vendor. Which is really a shame, as I really like this unit when it works!

Update - I've just sent a note to Inhalater asking for them to keep the unit and process a refund for me instead. Given that I've successfully used this device for 4 days, out of 3 weeks of ownership, I'm not liking my odds of this particular unit lasting any length of time. And if I need another portable as a stand-by unit that means a bunch of accessories that may or may not work with the portable. So I guess this means I'm back to the search. Hopefully everyone with a unit enjoys it as much as I enjoyed mine, just with less issues than I had...

Cheerio

I'm in the same boat. Love the performance of my inhalaters, but can't rely on them working as long or consistently as my other (lesser performing) vapes. Inhalater is my first choice but I too need an alternative for my backup for when it fails next. My xp still in warranty hasn't been repaired correctly (sent back same condition as sent in) and I'm certainly not paying for an upgrade when I still have warranty, or paying an extra 50 to get a version that charges properly (inh005 to 5s).
Pls share what you find as a comparable backup as I just can't rely on inhalaters anymore even though they're my favorite vapes (when they work).

Thanks

@HerbalHealing I'm hoping that once it comes back from this 2nd repair it won't need any further repairs. I couldn't justify the extra costs from the upgrade to the S, after having ordered a couple of days before the S was announced, and a few days before the Black Friday deals - it sorta felt like a bit of a cash grab, and my unfortunate order timing meant an additional $50 for the upgrade, which left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth, but such is life.

Anyways, having said that, with Inhalater now offering an immediate ship of a replacement (with Pharmacor approval) you shouldn't be out of pocket for weeks at a time - from Toronto you are probably overnight.

If I *do* get a second portable unit it will likely be something like a Goboof Alfa (I like their auto settings), but anything with a USB charging capability, or swappable batteries, will do in a pinch. I'm all about convenience, and all the fiddling with widgets just detracts from the core mission (which is why I didn't get a PAX) - I just installed a USB charging outlet on the ATV, so we can charge while running around in the bush, as well as charge from the portapower unit in my pocket.

I also got to pick out a Christmas present for myself, so thats a heated chore jacket that runs off a rechargeable 20 amp battery pack, and also has 2 USB charging ports in it, with charging cables pre-run to the cell pocket on the chest. I'm ready for winter!

@HerbalHealing Upgrade for faster charging is free. INH05 S is a supercharged version of the unit with heating times reduced in half and more stable temperature.

For my Information: Do you have working units?

I currently have 1 working 005 and one xp (back from warranty repair) that still does not work between 5-6, which is my spot. I had 2 more 005's (also original slow charge versions) which I've paid to upgrade from xp's and have given to close friends who are medical users (as I am). Since I can't perform a usual day without my medicine it's crucial for me to have a functioning backup in case something goes wrong with my primary medication tool.
I don't mind the xp as my backup as both vapes are fast enough for me and medicating abilities are excellent with both, so xp, original 005, they are all fine with me, and just need a reliable backup as I travel a lot and if something goes wrong during a trip, I'm done.

Just saw this on the E-Nano thread. INH05 made it onto this review of 'Best of 2015'. I don't have speakers so can't hear the audio, so if someone could post any highlights that would be great (where's a BeastBuy when I need one?)...

For what i understood, the most important things about INH05 are :
- discreteness
- quick and easy to use
- nice and huge clouds
- a bit dry
- really nice for ex-smoker

Crafty is the 2015 overall winner ! Flowermate the winner in terms of cost efficiency and the IHH05 is a good one for portable usage (go firefly if you look at flavor and convection vaporizer).

You can find more specific informations in this one (same authors) :

- nice flavor at low temp
- no draw resistance
- nice temp control
- good add-on (water tool&mouthpiece)
- remplacable battery
- hight prize
- USB
Comparable to PNP but with less technical issue. Pay a bit more, but definitely worth it.

FuFu.

Ps : I can't confirm personaly, I don't own a INH05 yet. I'm waiting for a bad move from my Ascent which can give me a better reason than luxury to replace it.

Still the fuckin' BEST!
Is it a glass capsule? I'm still awaiting for mine (Indiegogo perk)....

Since I get my Alfa, my inh's don't get lot of use cause the quick taste degradation, but about convenience of use the Inhalaters are the winners!

I get big hopes about this glass capsules, did you notice a better taste? (not only at the beginning where the taste was already nice, but after...)

taste through the glass capsule is superb all the way through til the end with massive cloud production :)

Can anyone help me out and compare the inh005 to the haze vaporizer in terms of vapor production and taste. I'm torn between these too and im unsure witch one to go for. I looked on this forum for an hour and couldn't see anyone comparing the two please excuse me if I missed it, I just dont have the time to read through every page.

Oh and can anyone comment on if the number dial on the bottom of the inh005 is still a sticker like the inh004 had.
Cause if it is that would be a deal breaker for me personally.

If your issue was that the old stickers eventually came off...... these are much much better..... I'm in fact very hard on my in my pocket with my change {right pocket} or keys in my left..... and no sign of pealing anywhere.... I remember everyone complaining about those stickers and my very 1st Xp Q2 {Oh how I miss her} did show signs of pealing but since then Q3 and beyond have been rock solid...and staying PUT :peace:

Received my INH05s today, I have mixed feelings about the vape at this time but I only have a couple sessions under my belt. Heat up time is ridiculously fast and it seems to do a good job extracting but taste doesn't nearly match my FF (I didn't expect it to). Its very small, resembling a high-end electronic cigarette which is perfect for where I live. I'll test with water later tonight and post a full review in the coming weeks after I get some experience with it.

I was a bit disappointed to see that customs and whatever other agencies that inspected my unit had left the INH box partially open and unorganized, the charger had fallen out and the box wasn't even wrapped with the bubble wrap that Inhalater used, they just pushed it all to one side. I would've take a picture but I was too excited to test the new vape. Luckily nothing seems to have been harmed - those assholes just didn't take any care in putting everything back together. Obviously this has nothing to do with Inhalater and I hope it doesn't deter any possible future purchases but I feel like its worth noting.

@bubbha ho-tep If I may ask: how can the numbering on the dial be made to your satisfaction?

I would like the numbers laser marked, laser etched, or possibly made into the mold. I don't know how visible the numbers would be, or how long marked numbers would last for that matter but I would prefer just about anything to the sticker.

It's really an apples-to-oranges thing to compare the 05 to the FF, taste-wise. Different materials, shorter vapor path, and mostly conduction vs. FF's convection. The 05 cannot match the FF's flavor, IMO, but it excels at a number of things, like ease of use, stealth, thorough extraction, and copious vapor production. It's ultimately more portable than the FF, and much more practical out of of the house.

If you think of it as your go-to out-of-the-house vape you will probably come to enjoy it as much as I do. But yes, it won't beat the FF for flavor, or really come close, in my experience. I love them both, for different applications.

@z9 Regarding flavor: Very easy to have same or better with the INH05. Fine grind, fill the capsule, keep the temps low. Because the unit is so powerfull, it is easy to overshoot desired temperature. Give it 90 seconds of preheat at low temp like what the competition musters and see for yourself.

I've had mine back for a day now and it's working just like it's supposed to. Today was a 'take wife and dog to stores for xmas shopping'. So with the wife inside I took the dog out wandering around. I pulled 05 from same pants pocket where my keys are, turn dial to 4 and start wandering. An old feller stops to pat the dog on the head. It turns out he's an 83 year young Korean war vet, so we talked for a few minutes about the differences in the military over the years. I was playing with the INH the whole time. The old feller asks me how the electronic cig is working, and I say 'great, thanks' as he heads back to his car. Thats the only time anyone has asked about the thing I keep carrying around town. One of these days I'll try it inside the mall just to see what kind of response I get....

@z9 I ran one session at 4, followed by 2 more at Auto, and everything worked as expected. The last run will be at 8 or 9.

If you find it getting a bit hot for you try it with the hygenic tip installed - it helps. I put on a silicone tip from Planet Vape and only take it off to switch cartridges. I'm looking forward to the infamous glass cap tho...

I would like to see the grooves and numbers lazer etched instead of a sticker, or even just grooves that could be color coded. I just feel like a product of your caliber shouldn't have a sticker. Non the less I realize you have a very good product and that's the only reason for the criticism.
