The Firefly is quite a bit heavier as well making it more cumbersome as a true portable. The Crafty fits easily in your pocket, is fairly light and far more stealthy though that is not my biggest concern.

So today I got on with it and produced an @elmomuzz Adapter, Thanks for the technique!! The thing is, I did not have anything better than a glue gun on hand and since today is Sunday I thought wtf...

Damn the EQ Elbow technique was already a success, but with the Elmomuzz adapter its yet again another level!

Anyway is a little vid, Gotta Love the ending

After last nights sessions, I now have a new level of respect for the crafty. 0.3gr white fire split into three sessions, one at hour 0, two at hour 2, three at hour 2.5. I didn't stand a chance. I think I'm using about 0.3-0.5gr a day with this thing, I dont think I'd be able to medicate as efficiently with my glass one hitter.:love::leaf::love::tup:

Nice save! I saw it going and wanted to scream, "CATCH IT!"

Why was there water dripping down the bottom of the joint throughout the video? Is there a small crack or something in your glass?

To be honest its only till I watched the video that I noticed I kept on touching the device but I never knew it started to melt and slide till the big fall...

Yeah the bubbler GB-186 has seeing the floor a little to closed to its comfort and is paying the price with a crack and a broken neck, but not to despair the new FC-187 Bubbler is coming very soon thanks @blankrider !!!

group session with crafty? how is that possible? maybe the battery of mine sucks more as others?

i fill the chamber (full, no oilpad), 185 celsius for maybe 3-4 minuten without shutoff and after that boost to 200 celsius for maybe 2-3 minuten without shutoff. empty chamber. i can do that 3 times in a row and after that the battery is empty. all in all around 20-25 minutes i guess.

how long does it work for you?

i really love my crafty, blows like my cano, just battery sucks and i am even with oilpad and herbs on ground afraid to use oil in it.

bought a new 22400 mah ec technology powerbank from amazon, it has 1, 2 and 2.4 A output. i use 2.4. maybe faulty or ripoff if there is no 3600mha inside crafty becouse i can charge crafty 5x with my powerbank if i remember right.
Charge rate of Crafty is ~1.5A so anything faster than that makes no difference as far as charge rate ... ie. charging at 2A s same as charging at 2.4A

Efficiency, vapor quality, and ease of use are this things strongest features imo. The efficiency is just awesome.

It seems to me that I'm using slightly less herb than the Pax. It would be interesting to see some comparisons with a variety of vapes...anybody feel confident that you can extract more with less with this unit over another unit you've experienced?

This vape extracts more from less than any other vape I have tried… My load doesn't even cover the screen sometimes and I haven't used an oil pad yet. With such loads and max temp battery lasts me maybe 6 loads but I usually don't do more than two before recharging.

Oh, and one such tiny load gets me blitzed alright! I am loving the Crafty! :smug:

Do you find with really small loads that you get a perptual flavor bang?

When I pack a fresh bowl the first 3 hits make my taste buds erect! I'm wondering if I can just pack 3 puffs worth, have a mouthgasm, reload and repeat for ever after experiencing this never ending flavor train?

My usb battery pack has both a 1.5 and a 2.1 amp output.

I contacted s&b directly and they said to use the the 2.1 output and make sure I use the supplied USB lead.

Not sure why to be honest.
EDIT
'thank you for your message.

- It is possible to use a 2.1 amp charging pack with our CRAFTY, you should, however, use the cable included in the delivery.

- According to our experiences, a fully charged Crafty allows the vaporization of approx. 3 -5 filling chamber loads, depending on ambient conditions and user habits. You must bear in mind, that, to heat dozens of liters (or gallons) of air from e.g. 20°C (68°F) to 200°C (392°F), comparatively lots of energy is required. Please be aware, Crafty is a full hot air convection vaporizers with additional conduction heating of the filling chamber. This is the reason why they work as well as formerly only known from mains operated vaporizers, giving you excellent clouds of vapor.

Of course we only use the best cells available on the market and most of the devices’ processing power is used only for battery management, however, we cannot go beyond physical limits.

I hope to have answered your questions with this information. If there are any other questions, I would be glad to help.

Best regards'

I bought the crafty after being disappointed with every vape device I have purchased so I didn't have high hopes but all the reviews made me believe.

Well folks believe it because this thing is the real deal.

I want to vape oil I vape oil. I want to vape herb I vape herb. No BS, no mess, it just works and gives amazing clouds all the way thru the bowl. I'm thoroughly impressed. I have used maybe 2 grams since I got my package on Wednesday and I have been using the shit out of it.

No real gripes. For a personal one person device it's the best and I can't say enough about this thing. Buy one you won't regret it.

Have to agree with you one hundred percent!!
Especially the part about being disappointed with other hand held capes.
Wether it is draw resistance, reliability, ease of use and learning curve this vaporizer hits it out of the park!
Yes it took Storz and Bickel quite a long time to finally come out with a portable but they did their homework and came out with a device that actually works as promised and not a beta version.

Yes Crafty is the-shit, but can I ask what other devices you have? I see you mention you have a G pen? If thats what you have come from for flowers I could understand your doubts.

Edit: @sanfranciscosadhu what portables are you coming from?, Where you not able to get the FF going?,... it is one of the more skill requiring 'capes'(lol damn spellcheck).

........
Does everybody's Craftys have a little dimple above the 'a' in 'Crafty' on the side? I thought it was a dent on my unit but I've seen it on Craftys in a vapeShop.

@kahlilhc yup, it's part of "r".

Gotta give it to S&B customer service. My unit was accompanied by faulty oil pad, they sent me 2 new ones the next morning. Today I got it - turnes out it's 2 SETS! 8 oil pads total

Guess I found what i will gift myself for christmas this year. This tool looks like a great addition to my small vape collection. best of both worlds in a very comfortable way, sounds like the ideal party companion for my needs.

While I love the MFLB and the Hammer when I am on my own, I start getting tired of explaining the handling to every toker I meet. At first it was fun and you have something new to talk about but now i get frustrated of repetition and wasted bowls of burned herbs.

I already had hopes for the grasshopper as my third device with an easier handling but stumbled upon this and reading the whole thread in a weekend seems to slowly fall in love with this device. And since it is from a german company i guess I have to another argument in strengthen the local economy.
if there was only a way to cut the pricetag into half i would instantly try it...
Guess it's just a matter of time

I also supported the Grasshopper but after the Crafty, I'm guessing I wasted money on another prolonged crowd funded project!

Having a problem charging don't know if it's the cord or the crafty.

I had a gpen and tried others like the iolite and they have all sucked.

In answer to your question about other portables like the Firefly. Yes I have one and on page 36 of the Mighty thread I make a lengthy detailed side by side comparison.

They are apples and oranges, so I have no inclination to bash one and exclusively praise another.
To me though the Firefly is still in a beta stage, simply not dependable enough. I've had repeated battery issues and I can't tell you the frustration of loading a bowl and the battery runs out.
With the Crafty I know precisely at what level the battery is and it doesn't loose power slowly while not in use.

I also like EXACT temperature control instead of constantly guessing and adapting. Either not getting satisfying hits or seeing specks of charred material in the ABV.

All that said, the Firefly is a stunningly beautiful instrument made with quality materials.

The wpa from Lotus fits the oven of the Crafty like a glove. This gives you a 14mm connection to water. It did not seem to take any longer to heat up, after 3 deep breaths.....I am out. The wpa will swell to fit the oven diameter snugly. I would keep yer joint clean, and allow to cool before removing the wpa from the oven.

Remove the cooling chamber, then fill the oven. Slide the wpa into the oven, heat and apply. My setup stayed together well enough to pull the vape off the downstem for clearing without the wpa releasing its grip on the Crafty.....
