I had a question about when the battery went low. Whenever I try heating it up it simply doesn't ? The bottom light stays solid red and the top light blinks blue without stopping.
Yes that is what happens when low battery state is reached. The Air goes into idle/standby/no heat mode where top light pulses blue on and off repeatedly (similar to when first powered on). After the bottom LED goes solid red, it is possible to continue the session by selecting temp using up and down arrow keys to restart heater. More in this post if interested.

I encountered this too and was confused. i guess that means battery is dead. would have been nice to know it was about to die? hopefully in future revisions a clearer battery meter is implemented?

e: i didnt see the previous post about low battery mode. i dont think its explained in the manual you can bypass low battery mode by doing that thing. if it is i missed it.

I've been having really good success with two other users tonight (combusters who dabble/d with T1, EQ, and Daisy, soon goboof...) passing around on low temps and hitting the highs through my new dhgate 10arm tree perc bubbler from kathy. Really loving that out of the box GonG connection!!!

I'm getting only like one session per bowl kinda though, even with a whole session on 356 I only got like another half session of clouds on it at any other temp (not a full packed bowl though, no screens though and no gasket). If I pack fuller I can get a little more maybe? Or maybe I should grind finer and pack fuller? I'll keep experimenting ofcourse, been using a bunch of different strains which is nice though!

And either way I don't mind, been charging before my batteries die, after like 4-5 sessions so they recharge quicker. Best to keep in middle charge yes? Nitecore i2 works splendidly and so shows battery level, plus I've got plenty of other vapes (new stir lid for the Elevape came today as well!). I'll wait on @CentiZen's sage advice before trying my new Samsung 2500mah 18650 25As though...

I like watching the arizer portable evolve. If only the solo had lights on too, cool pic

Mine finally arrived today out in the boonies!

SS I recommend getting a fine SS screen .i have one in my stem and vapor is just pouring out :ko:

Ive never been a fan of screens, tried doming in my Solo many times and its fine but not quite as good, helps use less and good for certain materials, but overall not my preferred method (for me its just more to clean and clog the airflow). Nevertheless I will ofcourse try screens eventually bc I intend to try it all with the Air! Still havent used a Solo stem in it yet, or my honeycomb bubbler...

I tried again with a finer grind and full pack, a out a session and a half to kick it with all temps (might've been able to get a little more even). Not bad, I certainly don't mind fresh bowls, plus reloading/dumping is pretty quick and easy, like the T1. Actually even the size is kinda like T1 in a way, be certainly more conduction here of course and much better battery life (but longer charge times? Don't recall).

Lights arent so bad, theres a quick response with smooth button pressing and I find it easy to count. Havent even been using temp memory to restart a session its so snappy. I am actually getting used to the LED colors by now though too. Sure it would be nice if they showed battery level and even if the batts lasted a little longer, but with external charge and spares its really not much of an issue... Gonna have to pick up more batteries at some point myself if I cant use these samsungs

anyone know where I could snag one for less than 260? I want the Air but I may just grab a solo for like 130. The air looks and sounds awesome though Id love to hook it up to a watertool attachment. just ordered a pinnacle watertool for my Extreme q. probably a quick attachment and i could use it for both

Should be good either way!

I quickly found my favorite way to use the Arizer Air is with my hydratube. It's 18mm so I'm using a reducer adapter. I like it more than a straight 14mm connection because I can ensure there's a good seal everytime it's lifted up to clear the vapor. Still, a 14mm upright watertool should work awesome too.

Until it's released in January the only source is Arizer. Zero chance anywhere else for that reason.

Even then it most likely won't be discounted until 'the rush' is over and the wholesale price comes down enough. Only other chance might be someone deciding they don't like theirs and putting it up for sale cheap.......I sure wouldn't hold my breath there.

If bucks are tight, Solo is probably a better call?

Too bad you missed the $200 introductory/Black Friday price, I doubt it'll be that cheap again for some time.

sony VTC4's and VTC5's and the orange MNKE batteries work pretty well in the Arizer Air. These 18650's are some of the most highly regarded 18650's out there, especially by the custom flashlight and electronic cigarette guys... meaning these batteries can handle a load of up to 30AMPS safely.

Much higher quality than the stock 18650 that comes with the Arizer Air which can handle only 5 amps.

Maybe a xmas sale?

So, are you guys just getting the Solo stem included completely at random?

Thanks for all the feedback so far....it sounds very impressive thus far, but I had hoped that the airflow would not be worse than the 2014 Solo.

I'll be picking up one of these eventually (when they come down below $200), but i'm not rushed since my Solo is so awesome, especially with the EV adjustable gong's.

Nice work Arizer!

I noticed the seal from the black tip on the mouthpiece was almost too perfect for 14mm female. When I draw it's super restrictive, which is what it looks like in your hydratube vid @SD_haze . Try putting a small piece of tubing on the mouthpiece. This helps tremendously.
I'm not sure if it's completely at random @biohacker . Maybe they started including them at a certain point and some people just missed out.

Are there any chargers currently out have been confirmed to work with the air batts? I need one ASAP

those sony vt5's are a rare item and no longer in production from what i gather. the vt4's are lil easier to come across.

i'm sure arizer would love for us all to gobble up a bank of their very special $19 battery but barf on a $19 battery. sell me a pair of bats and a case for $20? otherwise the AIR is charming and delightful ;)

Damn you, party liquor
Got my Air yesterday. Apparently I've signed something at the PO for them to deliver packages because I wasn't home and my postman signed for my package and popped it in the mailbox. Nice that I didn't have to wait. Initial thoughts while I charged it up were wow this thing is small. It's been stated time and time again in this thread, but it really is a small device. Any of you with jyarz out there, the Air is the same diameter as the glass insert of your classic Jyar. My air slides right in to the plastic shell of the Jyar.
I did get a straight solo stem in the packaging, but with the four hole screen of the Air stems. Curious.

Clouds on the lowest temp is amazing in the Air. Level 1&2 on the Solo never got used by me but I see me using the whole range on the Air. Taste seems to be better than the Solo, but the Air seems to toast a bowl to done even before time is up on the higher settings. At least so far. The highest setting through water last night toasted a bowl to super dark brown.

My PVHES gong on the Air through water is outstanding. Hits like a champ. Massive clouds through my little GB-242 recycler with a jury rigged setup. When my dropdown arrives it should hit even better. Today is HT testing with the PNWT and my two evo HTs.

So far I'm happy with my purchase and eager for more testing...you know... For science...:science:

Can anyone recommend some 14mm & 18mm adapters that will fit straight into the air's chamber ? Thank you

You can go through Planetvape for a PVHES 14 and 18mm GonG. Planetvape is a sponsor on FC. You could go through FCer @Ed's TnT for a WonG, he does excellent work with wood. I have several of his pieces.

JoDa glass has GonGs he's an FC member. You can find JoDa glass on FC. It's under General Discussion look for Glass sub thread.

I'm holding off on an Arizer charging dock for the batteries. Also I'm not risking using different batteries in my unit that would void any warranty if any problems arise. Arizer suggested that could cause problems. I wouldn't want to be out my $200.

I'm not a risk taker.

Nice cells, for sure. But safe in this device? Best for this application?

Perhaps it's something like keeping your Land Rover exclusively in downtown LA? 30 Amps is a feature you'll never use here. However, to get that performance so useful in other applications trade offs were made (like cycle life) that might have been a better 'deal' for us.

Basing your buying decision on numbers you can never take advantage of or high esteem in other venues is not a sure guide IMO. You can't use them to prove "Much higher quality".

No offense, I'll stand by a bit and see what the experts (maker) recommends, right now he's saying there are some safety issues with some cells and using any but the ones he sells voids the warranty.......not that anybody might cheat a bit there of course.

Each guy's call, of course, but I question recommending to others where safety and warranty are at risk and all the facts aren't known.

Maybe a xmas sale?

Perhaps, but they'd best get with it as they are running out of time (and sales....) if that's the intent.

But, the OP's question was 'where can I get it cheapest?', I'll stick with 'the only place to get them at all for now is the maker'.

Are there any chargers currently out have been confirmed to work with the air batts? I need one ASAP

Not yet, although we're told very soon. I suspect it will be an existing model from an established maker, perhaps with some logic behind the selection like TV did with Cera. I doubt it will be for low cost like with other makers since it's not included in a package.

For now, the built in charger is the only approved one. There are some suggestions from other members drifting around, but one of them has been called into question for a reputation of failing to terminate the charge, not a big deal for protected cells.....but these are not protected. This failure (to terminate charge) is potentially very dangerous. Like fires and explosions dangerous. I'd feel real bad if such a mishap befell one of our fellows for any reason, let alone innocently offered advice here?

If absolutely necessary, I'd trust an established (well respected) general purpose 18650 charger I already had (although I'm not doing so personally, I'm using the internal one until further advised), but I wouldn't buy any for this use yet. Again, very shortly we're told Arizer will release there offering which should be available elsewhere at a lower price?

Word i feel that logic makes sense...yeah might go with the solo for now and grab the air when the price comes down...not that money is super tight, but i love my EQ and i dont NEED a new vape nut i want one haha. Appreciate the reply

You're very welcome. I think your reasoning is sound. It's very natural to get swept up, it happens to us all, but Solo is nearly half the price and does most of what Air does. If a feature (smaller size and replaceable battery are the only possibilities that come to mind) are very important to you that will obviously drive the decision no matter when. But if such things are in the 'that'd be nice' category they become a trade off with things like cost, warranty support, availability, cosmetics and such?

In the end Mae West was right about making your own choice.....but she's dead now.

Regards to all, waiting ain't much fun, is it?

I'm with SS, I've charged about 6 air batteries and 8 other ecig 18650's

Here's my take on it (I'm no battery expert... In fact I really don't know shit about them...) but if this is a cell that is already being made and is nothing special, I don't understand why this highly sold charger off amazon would not be safe? I am not trying to downplay or offend whoever said that they have heard these chargers can "pop", but personally I'm going to need more info then one person on one forum saying they "heard" it's unsafe...

I am NOT recommending this for others! Since far smarter people have suggested against it. Just saying I feel safe that this isn't the magic battery/charger combo(says safety all over the box of the charger) that turns an Amazon charger into electronic kindling. I can't imagine the sizes of the lawsuits that would follow

:2c::peace:

Then again when my house burns down does anyone have an extra couch for me and the wife?:uhoh:

I think I heard someone mention using mflb battery caps to seal Air stems for travel. Do they fit snugly? Or are there any alternatives?

Also, can anyone provide links for the screens they use?

The directions state not to use different batteries or a different charger. Also the website says that. I will wait for @CentiZen (battery expert ) to practice on his. He can fill us in on his findings. Also FCer @OF has a lot of knowledge and so does @Pipes. I will wait on further info.

No offense to anyone else, do as you wish. I don't know enough about it.

Just to be clear, I'm definitely not advising people do what I am doing. Since all 3 of the people you tagged are far more intelligent then I and all don't suggest using it. I honestly just refuse to believe that it's as dangerous as some believe (again I don't know shit! Just my small minded opinion) there are simply too many batteries and chargers for ecigs to have a company like Amazon selling a time bomb. Just my opinion though, I will be sure to let everyone know when me and @Shit Snacks are homeless;)

Edit- just finished setting up my ryot axe pack for on the go with the air. I roll to work with-
2 filled jyarz(Seahawks colors:D)
1 pnwt
2 spare air batteries
Space case grinder
Stir stick/brush
Little container of hash
Elevape smartvape(for those sneaky lunch time hits)
AA with pack and 2 loaded stems
1 abv container
Little bag of screens and tools for my elevape

I am still loving this case after over a year and 4 different vapes
