Discontinued Minicron, Minicron Lite and Ophos Oil Vaporizers

ThinkING of purchasing for the 40% off sale. Have a few question .

1. What is the difference between ophos and omicron lite

2. Are the coils easily rebuildable? I've seen pics of them being taken apart.

3. Can I upgrade to the tI coil or do I have to buy another coil?

4. Does the package come with a charger?

5. Any fc code to make this deal even sweeter?

1. Ophos and Omi lite difference is only the ophos has the 601 outer thread.

2. There are people who rebuild the coils yes so it is rebuildable with our rebuild kits.

3. You would need to purchase an additional Ti cart.

4. Yes it includes a usb cable to charge the battery.

5. W9tech all one word should work for additional savings.

So i just got the Omicron lite and a KISS tg2 atty.
Honestly was kinda disappointed with the titanium atomizer when compared to the normal one that came inside the Omicron box.
It burns slower, doesn't offer huge clouds, the taste is alright, but not as good as the ceramic one that came in the box. The concentrate falls off to the sides alot and i got a little splash here n there. Not too bad.

I rate the KISS cart an 8/10 and the KISS Titanium Grade 2 a 6.5/10

I'm wondering, since i'm having an Ego V V3 delivered soon, if turning up the voltage from 3.7 to 4.0 would affect the KISS cart in a bad way???? Will there be a risk of burning it out? Or will it work to my benefit in heating up faster and producing more clouds???

When you guys have another good sale, i'm gonna buy some of those ceramic wicked KISS carts. Very tasty! Decent vapor production.

You should be good to about 4.2V...

*Edit: What color is the wick inside the 'included' cart? is it black where the Ti is white? All KISS have ceramic wicks, but there are different types of ceramic. White was original, black was introduced in the Globe, perhaps it has made its way into the production regular KISS now.

BTW the UP Tech products are 601 threaded and most e cigs are 510. You will need to use an adapter to go between.

I got some Ophos with a KISS cart with a grey-black ceramic whick. My MP is a regular one.
The cart coil doesn't glow at all, and Vaposhop is asking me to send back the whole unit.
Is it more possible that the cart is faulty or the Ophos ? Don't want to pay extra shipping while my intent was to order in purpose to avoid them.

Thanks for help.

The dark ceramic never gave me big clouds like the beige ceramic, but the smoothness and taste were awesome.

At least in the globe I feel like the black wick gives me a weak 1st hit but the 2nd and 3rd get better once the wick absorbs it and then it get's weak again. In my experience the ti1 cart is working better on stuff like crumbles, I think because the wire is looped around the wick a couple more times. On the softer stuff though it doesn't usually matter for me. Though to be fair my ti1 cart is pretty unused compared to my other stuff.

Thanks Samsam! :)
And yes, everyone here is spot on about that black wick.
I'm getting a Ti1 next time around! Although, my rating for this cart went from 6.5 to a 7.5
i'm starting to like this thing alot.

I was going to suggest loading smaller amounts onto the white ceramic and slowing your draw down until you get the desired thickness hit. Make sure your battery is fully charged.

The Ti coils work awesome on the Omicron with AW14500 batteries and on the Persei with AW 18350S & 18650. Perhaps the small batttery of the Omicron Lite just doesn't have the amperage output to heat the Ti as much? I know it *can* work, I've gotten good rips on an Omi Lite with ti kiss :)

Is the O-Phos compatible with a Kanger Evod battery? I have a few extra and it would be great if I could have them as back-ups.

There is a difference between hybrid vapor and pure vapor.

The best I can do is explain why we choose the black ceramic over the white.

First size matters.

The white ceramic is smaller and heats up faster. The down side is it doesn't abosrb a lot of oil and needs to be constantly messed with.

The black ceramic is larger and absorbs more oil, this makes the heater work differently where it needs more time to Heat up.

The trade off is you would need to do an extra heat up time before you start getting larger clouds.

Now you may ask why we did this. Well because we believe taste and purity of the vapor is more important then the quantity of vapor. Specially if you spend an extra heat cycle you would receive the same amount of vapor as the white ceramic without the bad tasting drawbacks of the white ceramic.

The black ceramic and the Ti wire are engineered to work together and make sure the wire heats up slow so that it doesn't get to hot and burn the oil.

Few people will ask burn oil? Yes it is possible. It isn't the oil you are burning but the impurities. When you allow the coils to get red hot your not only vaporizing but also burning impurities and causing hybrid vapor.

Now when you take into account the black ceramics size and the Ti coil it heats up slower and essentially heating up the whole rod and providing better tasting vapor.

While you can provide more voltage for the bigger clouds the purity drops as the coils get hotter.

Once you know how to properly use the black ceramic kiss carts you will be much happier.

Give it time and you'll see other manufacturers switching over to the black ceramic. Then claiming they revolutionized the industry.

Just like everyone that started claiming they revelutionized the industry with their ceramic discs not realizing this Is based on our old universe cartridge design.

Smh.

For the harder stuff I try to melt it onto the coils a little before I start. Getting the globe really helped me get the most out of this stuff too. Saw I was inhaling too fast and changed from doing 5 seconds on the button to 3 on, 3 off, 3 on, 3 off. Also I actually like the globes better than the cartridges unless stealth or breaking is an issue.

Thanks for that post!
Does W9Tech ever plan on making a ceramic donut, or some type of atomizer that uses a titanium coil that covers the entire bottom of the ceramic dish???
That would be awesome and super efficient

And yeah, i'm getting used to the Ti2 cart now. It's just that it causes my ego twist battery to randomly turn off and not turn on until i place on the charger. It gets annoying like today, when i took it with me and it wouldn't turn back on.... Hope the new Ego v v3 that i ordered will work without that drawback.
Good taste! Not much of a hassle for this 3 day period hat i've had it.

Ehhh we already made the ceramic donut atomizers a while back boss man. we just ran out of them and making version 3.

the industry is to steps behind.

@THC SCIENTIFIC Thanks for the precision. Thought black was some older version.
So if I got a cart with black ceramic, it is for sure KISS t2 or is there also regular KISS?
Cause vaposhop doesn't say in detail and I'm waiting for a new one.

Are you planing, or do you have a cart better designed for full-melt hash ? I'm talking about near 0 impurities but a material which is much different than shatter.

The problem with the Ti coils and black ceramic is the lack of clouds..as people have said.

I hear what THCscientific is saying but people aren't primarily vaping for flavor they are vaping for the effect.

So if the effect is lessened by Ti coil and black ceramic due to the lack of big hits then that's kind of a big fail. It tastes better but performs worse.

If version 2 (Ti black ceramic) doesn't get you as medicated as quickly as version 1 then it's kind of a step back. Hopefully you can fix this problem in the next version of the kiss.

Thanks

I don't think you actually read what I posted.

You can achieve clouds if you take an extra few seconds to warm up the ceramic.

Now I'm not sure how you would say quantity over quality is what people want as majority of the people here are in search of pure vapor.

Moving on: giving the end user the ability to actually increase the vapor production to his or her liking is much much better then just pressing the button and it starts cooking the oil at full blast.

Just like majority here will not use a red hot Ti nail, I doubt they will like a Red hot coil near their oil.

As for fixing this, I don't think you understand who we are.

Quality over Quantity.

The color of the wick is not an indicator of the type of metal it's wound with. There have been both titanium and non titanium KISS carts and globes.

The Hercules SR-74 is a cartridge that will eat your full-melt, bubble, even straight kief; and spit the vapor straight into your lungs. However, it needs a Persei to power it.

I use the Ti coil with black ceramic and I don't have any problem getting good vapor. Give it more heat up time, draw slower. I would say your opinion is in the minority, and most vapor enthusiasts are vaporizing because it is more flavorful than combusting.

Here is a video I took 2 months ago. I wasn't gonna upload it cause it was a very vaked-late night throwaway, but I felt the need to show you the vapor quality that a black ceramic wick + Gr2 Ti KISS cart puts out!

Tasty!!!

I went out of town to a friend's this weekend. He and his wife are oil heads. I am not. My only experience with wax was with my 2013 O-phos and it was great. So I went prepared with the Vaporizer and the Omicron Lite off the W9 site. I have no idea what pen this guy has been using, but he even considered the cheaper Vaporizer to be better than what he uses. I couldn't wait for him to try the Omicron Lite since it was closer to my O-phos than the Vaporizer. The dude was floored! He and his wife couldn't stop going on and on about the size of the hits and the taste.

That and the sharp boxes and presentation of this line of products really made an impression. I enjoyed my pen use earlier this year, but like I said, it's all I know. It was great to see a heavy wax user get stoked on these products...well done, guys! I ended up leaving him my pens and he says he wants to get some for his friends for Christmas. The price of these pens is a real bargain for the performance.

What cart would you rate 10/10? I am curious because I was reading on the thermovape website that the revolution dart was pretty darn flwless. I have no experience though

I did read your post. But your explanation doesn't change mine and others experiences. I've used many of your products. I'm going to have my own opinions about your product.

As others have said it is not as simple as you claim to achieve clouds with the Ti. At all. That's my opinion.

Funny because you claim that it's simple to get clouds while at the same time conceding that there IS a trade off of quality vs quantity.

And the quantity vs quality comparison doesn't really work in this situation. They are not mutually exclusive. There doesn't necessarily need to be a trade off. With Ti you were able to improve the quality (which I said in my post). However as you concede, the quantity decreased. Ideally your product would be able to deliver quantity AND quality....not one or the other.
