I really love those exotics on Andy's website, especially the ones with the voids (holes) in them. Gives them such extreme unique character (like birth marks) - but they are hard to come by - it's just luck when they appear during the turning process - all you can do is cross your fingers:nod:.

Hi guys, long time.

So My E-Nano has developed a crack. It only reaches my first groove. Is my wood still covered by epicvape?
PM me.

Note: May be out of heaters by the middle of this month. Yes I am keeping some spares for repairs.

Awesome! Me too!

I think I'll also design some sort of matching small stand to hold the hot cup, and order them both from Shapeways. If everything fits well, you'll be able to order this cup in several different steel finishes:

Stainless
metal_bronze_matte.jpg
Matte Bronze

Polished Bronze
swatch-steel-matte-black-20131023.png
Matte Black
swatch-steel-polished-gray-20131023.png
Polished Grey
metal_gold_matt.jpg
Matte Gold
metal_gold_shiny.jpg
Polished Gold
swatch-steel-polished-nickel-20131023.png
Polished Nickel
(Don't worry about heat, 3D printed steel is heat safe to 1528F)

Hmmm, which one do I want for my cup.... I think polished bronze looks pretty cool, though polished gold would add a bit of bling to my nano...

Anyone else think the gongs got a lot shorter recently?
Yes, and they were already too short IMO. The one I just received holds 20% less material than my old one. We need a little wiggle room for the herb and our fingers, at least an extra half inch... that would be nice.

I like the low poly but with the nano being round I don't know.

Yeah, I hear ya. When I'm finished the part, I'll probably offer it in both styles.

I'm really trying to find a digital 3D artist who can help "sculpt" the exterior of some designs while I work on the fit and function of the model. I have a sweet idea for a dragon's hand holding a cauldron, but that design is way out of my league currently.

When you perfect that dragon's claw (I can see it...), I'm sure it will fit my Dragon Nano perfectly... :)

A few times I've have USPS packages marked a "Delivered" that didn't show up. Later that night the tracking would update back to "In Transit" and were delivered the next day. USPS tracking is not great.

Hmm I've had thing say out for delivery and regress and get delivered the next day
and for whatever reason I've never had it stated where it was placed
there is a camera pointed at the mail box but the cameras UI is JUNK
and the homeowner decided he had better thing to do especially
when i expressed horror at my neighbors somehow receiving/opening it discovering it contents

EDIT:LMFAO My worst fears realized reviewing the security video
the mailman took 5 secs at my mailbox and a seeming eternity at almost the same address (last two digits switch) and it just happpen to be the person who called me out
for receiving suspicious deliveries at the end of the block. (cycles over to Mary Janes now)

Hi everyone, my first post here! I've been perusing the site for a few weeks here, and I don't think I've come across a more helpful community, you guys all seem great! I've had a MFLB for a couple of years and like it very much, and the E-Nano and other log tapes drew my interest because they are similarly built with wood, are efficient, etc. I purchased a walnut E-nano and have had it for about a week, and should be getting my buckeye burl E-Nano (from snappos) next week! Will probably give the walnut E-nano to a friend once I see the buckeye burl, looking forward to it!

Anyway, I've read through much of this thread and have seen pretty much nothing but universal praise, and how efficient log vapes are. So far in my use it seems I'm using more herb than I did with my MFLB (granted it's still a small amount compared to combusting), but I'm not too sure if I'm doing everything right. I have the stock stem that came with it, I pack a small amount into it against the metal screen, I've pre-heated the e-nano for at least 5 minutes on a 6.5 setting, and I seem to be able to get 2-3 draws out of it and then it's a darkish brown color where it seems to be about done...but maybe people here keep using it for additional hits afterward? The MFLB has a nice users guide and tons of youtube videos about how to use it, I couldn't find too much besides this forum on how to use it properly. I'm not saying I'm disappointed, just a little discouraged, though I'm hoping there's just a slight learning curve I have to get over and then it will be amazing. I hope to one day get a water bubbler for it, but that's a ways off.

My only nitpick with the actual unit, the power cord seems a little heavy overpowers the unit so it doesn't sit up straight, unless the cord is balanced against something else. I'm sure I'll get used to it though. :)
