This is a really cool way to use ABV...two tea spoon in a small amount of melted butter and bit of milk and microwave 2 min...is 4 am and can't even think abt going horizontal in bed ...
This will save lot of money and throat !! I v had to wait almost two hours. Just powerfull.
probably with half spoon ll be still fine...

thanx three fifty.

ps after one hour

5.30 same situation...super powerfull.
This ABV method is really sustainable ...nothing goes lost.

I used the Milkshake recipe. I used too much ABV and I used Almond coconut butter, had very good flavor. We made 3 milkshakes and used 1/2 cup of powder type ABV from the coffee grinder. Almond coconut butter and ABV heated in the microwave for 2 min., then added chocolate chips. I used ice cream and milk then blended it all together.

We were medicated for over 24 hours and needed to go to work. ABV can be very powerful, I learned my lesson, too much is a bad thing. I would start out with a 1/2 tablespoon per milkshake and work my way up. We drank half and didn't feel anything after an hour so we drank the rest. Sometimes you need to wait more than an hour to feel it kick in.

So many variables with edibles, depending on the person and how much other food is in your stomach when you first ingest the edible with the ABV.

I was thinking that ABV wasn't that powerful, was I wrong.
I did post about my experience in another cooking with cannabis sub thread some time ago. I have not tried this recipe since. I have tried other edibles with caution.

well after 12 hours I start to come back...no hangover just a bit space out cauz no sleep at all..too much energy..and this only with 2 tea spoons of ABV. I v tried few recipe so far with unused material but it was waste of time and of material. This recipe is easy fast and a powerful medication. If I think that till few months back I was throwing the ABV in my garden...good for the plants though ..:bang:

So I just downed my first abv milkshake. I used a fresh ripe banana, a few scoops of vanilla, a pinch of soy lecithin, 1/4 cup of abv, a few scoops of vanilla ice cream, a tablespoon of cocoa powder, and some soy milk. I didn't powder the abv first, but I let the blender run for longer than usual to make a ~20 oz. shake.

I haven't had anything to eat all day before this since a biscotti when I woke up :freak:

I didn't notice anything like that, but also the effect was very mild (I have a pretty high tolerance). Next time I will find that spice grinder, grind it to powder with the lecithin, and heat it up in a pan with some peanut butter, then I will let it cool and make the same shake as above. If that doesn't work for me I'll double the dose the time after that, I'm determined to make my abv work for me. I'm sure I'll be posting in the magical butter thread as well soon, I have a pretty good amount of abv I want to process.

edit: are you sure that your abv was the culprit, you may have an unrelated gi issue.

Gonna be making this in a few minutes. Will report back with results. Will probably be using a tablespoon of Watercured heavily vaped weed. Gonna mix it with a bit of butter to bind the THC to the fat, and then use milk, and chocolate icecream to make a milkshake. Don't trust simply putting it in the milkshake without butter. Will be making a big milkshake so I don't have to taste the butter.... If I do I guess I'll just have to CHUG CHUG CHUG. I would use peanut butter but im one weird human being in that I find it taste absolutely disgusting. Easily makes me throw up eating it.

Drank it. Texture of vaped weed is very odd.... Haven't felt anything yet. Would actually be surprised if I felt much since I heavily vape my weed. Its been dry times so its vaped weed that was vaped twice. Making the milkshake was no problem. Mixed the avb with a small amount of butter, than poured some milk into the bowl and warmed that up as of course, the plain butter+avb would just solidify really quickly and be chunky. Stomach hurts a bit right now. I drank it on an empty stomach and haven't really eaten anything since this morning besides some cereal earlier in the afternoon. Will come back in 1-2 hours to say if the effects kicked in.

Feel pretty much nothing but a very small amount of tiredness. I have a feeling this was a dud. Will try next time with weed only vaped once. I can imagine their was pretty much no cannabanoids left after vaping it the second time. Also doing on an empty stomach while having a high metabolism was probably a bad idea. Not experienced with edibles at all so guess I will have to experiment to try and figure out what works for me.

Thanks for reporting back and letting is know how it went. Your definitely better off eating something if you have a high metabolism. This will help reduce the first pass effect where your liver metabolizes and destroys the actives. You may want to look into soy lechitin. When infused into an edible it can help increase absorption and if making larger batches will help the cannabinoids homogenize into your lipids better giving more consistent dosing in a batch.

@Puffers is soy lecithine mandatory for good results or can it be substituted with something else? i'm allergic to soy.

You can use Sunflower Lecithin. I've made a milkshake with my ABV, I didn't use any Lecithin. It turned out fine. In fact I used too much ABV and it was way too strong.

with only milk and abv or were there more ingredients? what does too strong mean in this context? :)

I went with the shake idea for my abv and have made a total of 3 or 4 in the past few months.

My vegan abv shake recipe:
1-2 Bananas
4-7 frozen strawberries*
4-7 frozen cubed mango*
2 spoons full of peanut butter*
4 spoons full of abv (this was my old abv which was just midz and vaped pretty well thru)
4 spoons full of chocolate hemp protein power from trader joes
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk* (probably more depends on consistency)

I dont really measure just kinda wing it as i toss it into the blender. Usually this gets my about a full quart mason jar. I enjoy the effects, it takes around 2 hours to fully kick in and will last about 6 hours. I made one for a friend she told me she took a nap woke up still feeling the effects haha. I really like how easy this way of using abv is, also it can be tweaked to everyones personal preference and needs.

**All stars mean Organic products, its important to stay clear of GMO's as much as possible

Thanks @tree.fitty and everyone else for the great ideas

Too strong means I was way too medicated for a long period of time, over 24 hours. I took too much so be cautious with ABV. The milkshake is an easy way to go. Start out with a teaspoon and work your way up from there. Give it 2 1/2 hours to kick in.

Really great post, thanks for sharing. I've made medibles in the past with varying levels of success. After reading this and many other posts, I plan on making a shake during the holiday break.

Here's my plan, let me know if anyone has any suggested tweaks so that it comes out perfect...:
  • 1g ABV
  • 2 table spoons of liquid lecithin (sunflower)
  • 2 cup almond milk
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup frozen mango
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 2 spoons peanut butter
  • 10g dark chocolate (88% cocoa)
  • dash of sea salt
  • 1 digestive enzyme supplement
...I was thinking, my Blendtec blender has a soup mode, were it spins so fast it heats the liquids (can reach 110deg). This might be worth using with the lecithin, almond milk, and ABV, then add the remaining ingredients in smoothie mode... I may have to try this out.

I made this with 5 grams of abv in about 1/4 cup of peanut butter with a few tablespoons of coconut oil mixed in. Its definitely hitting me hard now.

with the newly purchased vapman i get some really dark brown abv. is it actually still worth saving or completely depleted of all the magic components and hence to be thrown away? thanks.

If you still get vapor from the ABV there's still medicine left in the herb.

I dunno, not all that vaporizes is necessarily an active ingredient (e.g. if you store your ABV in such a way that it can rehydrate from ambient humidity...humid summers here taught me that).

That said, I think it's great practice to vape until you don't see anything produced in a single session!

I wanna start off by apologizing if this is the wrong place for this question but not sure where else to ask it. It involves abv and a drink so should be close enough. Lol...... I have one of those "my K-cups" for my keurig single cup coffee machine. My question is this, could I put my abv in there and then mix in some sort of tea to make a tasty cannatea drink? Anyone ever tried or thought of this??

Cannabinoids do not like water molecules and will not bind to them, that's why we use butter/coconut oil to extract the goodies instead of water.
