not really instead of renewing our lease we decided to work in a location until we can find the right spot to open up a shop that's more catered to vaporists instead of a warehouse.
Heyy, my omicron isn't working and i don't know why... I bought it like a month ago through a smoke shop down near where I live. Anyway, everything seemed to be fine until today when I screwed in a fully loaded up cartridge annndd realized not minute later that it wasn't heating up and that there clearly wasn't any vapor being generated. i then opened up a new cartridge and tested that one to see if itd glow orange and it didn't........... :( lol I'm seriously so depressed and frustrated with this like oh my god sooo much money and its already messing up. I cleaned everything and tried again and still the coil won't heat up. So now I'm waiting for my batteries to fully charge so i can try again. If anyone knows how to help me that'd be GREAT. thanks for reading.

So what's going on in your world @THC SCIENTIFIC?

Could you tell me what's up with the new kiss cart mini's? Do they fit okeanos? And will ti be available?
Also, what is different about the new kiss ti ceramic wick exactly? It's still white yes?

Do you think you guys may be willing to make a ti coil "tank" kiss cartridge one day? Would make me very happy and give all my $ money's.

Why is the ceramic in the globes black?

Lastly, would just like to say thanks for making omicron and ti kiss carts. Use the og ti kiss carts as an enail basically, no mouth pice. Love'm.

Been thinking about trying to step up to trying a hurc, but still on fence.... lol. Kiss cart and horizontal kangers work SO well... Hate loading kangers...

Edit:
@fadedems it sounds like a dead bat. Please ensure your battery is fully charged and try again.

If still does not work, does light glow/flash? Time to brake out multimeter or use warranty if have it. Sorry. :)

First review. I was going to buy a Persei, but Gary actually convinced me to buy a omicron light as a starter piece. I like concentrates and bought an Ascent because I thought all pen vapes were jokes. Ascent is only decent for flowers. I am anticipating the omicron light, filling a cartridge, and getting hundreds of puffs.

I appreciate him recommending something at a lower price point. I have no idea about the ohms, why I need practice first, why it has such a steep learning curve But I know a company cares if they recommend what is best for the client. Also Gary advised me for 10 mins on accessories I should buy. Great people.

Just picked up the new 8 with an Okeanos. upgraded to kiss ti2. love the vap. But i emailed @THC SCIENTIFIC earlier this week and haven't heard back from them. Maybe someone on here can tell me, is the 8 head compatible to run 7.4 volts? and where can we find rebuild instructions for the KISS carts?

I received my Okeanos Upgrade Kit and I'm not sure if there's an error . I received 4 flat washers, 2 small o-rings, and no large o-rings. Is this correct? I really needed the large rings. Does anyone know the correct size of the large o-rings and maybe a link to where I can get 'em?

@THC SCIENTIFIC if I buy a omicron mini with a HVD top and I have a long battery tube can I double stack batteries and get 7.4 volts. My omicron v2.xx crapped out on me and looking for an upgrade. I have a warranty ticket in for the omicron still waiting for a reply. Probably super busy from Black Friday.

You would need the SS kit tube or the special HVD kit bottom cap to stack 14250s. The issue is finding good quality 14250 batteries, they don't exist....

Yes the SS tube with the standard bottom cap is designed for a 14500 battery and works great with 2x14250 batteries. Flat top 14250 batteries are exactly half the height (14mm wide, 50mm tall, 0 means its round. 14250 are 25mm tall. 25x=2=50mm!). I only use my Omicrons with the SS tube.

I don't know anything about those type of batteries though.

I have only ever put IMR chemistry batteries into my vaporizers, and I have only ever used the 14250s from when UP Tech was still selling the HVD kit. I think you are going to need flat top 14250s to stack em in the SS tube, that's what the kit comes with. The HVD bottom cap has a pretty forgiving spring that *might* be able to accommodate button top 14250s in the full size tube. Might. http://www.planetvape.ca/omicron-hvd.html

Have you ever tried a Persei at 7.4V? The Persei takes 18mm batteries and has a lot more performance than the Omicron. There's a reason they discontinued the HVD and focused on the Persei. I love my HVD+SS but the batteries don't last long and they're kinda a pain to recharge with the spacers and all.

@SamuraiSam Thanks for the explanation of the batteries. Never knew the numbering system. I have never tried the Persie. The reason I'm asking about this is my omicron shorted out on my the other day right before I received to new 3.7v kiss ti cart and I'm not sure if I will be able to warranty it. Still waiting to hear from up tech. Is there anyway to run a Persie at 3.7v?

I'm looking for a cheap versatile replacement and I found some omicron minis with the hvd top for cheap.

Yes, the Persei is designed to run at any voltage and it comes with an adjustable-spring battery tube so you can fit a variety of batteries in it.. You can run a single 18650 at 3.7V, or double-stack 18350's for 7.4V. You can also buy an SS Kit for.. wow only 20 bucks now.. Those are "Super stealth" housings and would allow use of the Persei in "Shorty" mode with a single 18350. That is a really nice way to use a KISS cart or original EO cart.

Comparison of various Omicron and Persei. One Omicron with the HVD shorty tube and single 14250, other two Omicron with the SS tube. The center Persei double top is using a SS Long tubed, two SS Shorty tube, and then 3 "standard tube" Persei.

This is an old picture - I now have 4 vapes that take 18mm batteries (3 Persei and an 8) and have sold off half my Omicrons so far (I had 4 at one point) with more to go. I highly recommend the Persei over the Omicron b/c it's so much more powerful and versatile.

Man you just laid out everything that I wanted to know. Thanks for the good info. Hopefully I know the fate of my warranty tomorrow. There's some good deals out there on up tech products.

Thanks for that link, I am in the same boat and just ordered that kit.
Uh, hey MaxVapor, sorry man, the o-rings in that kit are all too thick or too thin. Hope no one else uses that link.
I keep getting conflicting info on the sizes of the rings, this was my second try. What's with the mystery? Why can't the correct sizes be revealed? Somebody, maybe the guys that put these things on the stuff they sell us ? Can anyone leak out the correct info? Or a definite link?

Does this one look right?

Hey samuraisam,

I find your advice to be most helpful. I am curious why people buy multiple Persei and omicrons. Your picture has 10 vaporizers

Hey, thanks so much fot the kind words. I'm glad that you've found my posts helpful :)
As far as your question.. I am a weirdo.

I had an Omicron before the Persei came out. I got an HVD kit that made 2 Omi's.

The 1st gen persei had a double top thay some people thought was neat. The kit came with a single and a double top, one tube shared between them. So I count a single+double top as one Persei. I collected a few of those. I also liked having seperate units to use with the Core vs on the go, dedicated Shorty ss with a KISS cart, and a seperate Hammer top + Core insert for my Bender.

Just so I didn't have to swap tops and tubes around all the time. Also I worked at a glass/smoke shop that sold UP tech for a short time so acquiring the first 1/4 of my collection was pretty inexpensive.

PS. Someday I'll take a new family photo. It's worse than that 6 month old photo, by a long shot...

I was wondering how you pm somebody on this website. I would be extremely grateful to samuraisam if I could pm you to get the Hercules started. I have the sr-74x, luckily was able to take apart everything for a 5 minute wash in the boiling water. I have a 3 hour time frame (parents are leaving the house) to get this cleaned and ready for action.

There are so many detailed posts, if you just skim the last few pages of the Persei thread, which has links to assembly walk through videos by the guy who invented the thing, read the instructions on UP tech's website, I'm sure you'll find all the information you need. If you have any specific questions, please post them in the Persei thread.
