What do I do with all this ABV?

Why extract? Grab a spoon, some cookie butter, and go to town.

Not to be rude, however,

edit: What I used to do with AVB (I think Already Vaped Bud makes more sense than Already Bu Vaped, but what do I know?) is make butter, with okay to good results.

With the amount you have, you could make a nice small batch of very potent butter.

Thats what I would do, or you could try making oil out of it but I hear that butane is a waste of money with AVB and ISO produces a dark oil that doesn't taste nice, but gets the job done.

Make a fat extraction out of it, I don't like coconut oil, I find it not as good for certain baking application, such as cookies. I like good old fashioned butter, but thats just me.

ABV = already been vaped.

I agree that AVB makes more sense when you think about the words, but ABV just seems like a better acronym to me

I've decided to switch to do a butter extraction instead of coconut oil, since I mainly plan on making brownies/other baking treats, I think butter would be a better choice.

Does there happen to be a handy thread already about making butter from ABV?
If not, can I just follow any old canna butter recipe, or are there any special steps I'd need to take when working with ABV?

1/2 cup water to 2 sticks of butter. With the amount of bud you got there, use 4 sticks and 2 cup of water.

Simmer the water, butter and bud together on LOW heat for 4-6 hours. I guess you could get by with less but its your call.

strain using chessecloth or coffee filter in plastic quart containers and refrigerate until the fat solidifies and forms a cake on top of the nasty water.

The water will remove all of the bad nasty taste, rinse the cake of any excess water, and it is ready for cooking or stuffing your face with as is. It will be a medium green color, from brown AVB you will get green butter.

I recommend using cheesecloth so maximizing your yield by squeezing the all the liquid out of the material will be relatively easy. any sediment that might pass through should get tossed out with the water.

there will still be particulate matter in the butter though, but I think its mostly stuff you want.

Whats the ratio of herb by volume in your basic recipe?

I like about a quad of nice fine ground herb to about 1 1/2 to 2 sticks of butter with at least half cup of water, probably little more.

With AVB I pretty much go ham with the bud as I have little other use for it. I dunno if there's a saturation point or what the ratio would be of said point... Good question.

I skip the butter and just grind it super fine and throw that into a brownie mix.. Seems to work good enough for me. Mild herb taste, but provided my first green out experience

For coconut oil I've been using 1:1 abv to oil by volume, I imagine with butter it would be the same?

I am not sure you need that much oil to bud. I'm thinking that you could make more potent oil by using less oil and more bud, but there has got to be a point where the fat simply cannot extract anymore goodness from the plant matter.

So I guess your theory of 1:1 is sound, but I've always had success with a fat quad and 2 sticks of butter with a bit of water. Its probably pretty close.
