You can always take the rubber top off, turn it over, and it will stand up to load, fyi
Yea it's not so much that as it is the actual chamber being small along with the heating post I can't really figure out how to pack it good

Hi, i'm about to pull the trigger on the alfa but i wanted to know how does it compare to the IN05 in clouds production, battery etc.
also is this site affidable?
https://vaporizor.com/europe/alfa-portable-vaporizer.html

Well tbh I hated the INH05. I was never able to sustain good clouds on any temp other than the last two. Which seemed weird. The heat up time is quicker on the INH but idt it actually reaches the temp it claims it does even when the light is on. However some people love there INH05 but I think for the price it's just too much.

Now I got my alfa and it's so much smaller. It is a better taste for me heat up time is quick but not like the INH 05. I get much better clouds with the Alfa. The bowl is much smaller and cleaner to use than the messy INH capsules. I say messy because whenever I would pull them out my herb would be at the bottom of the heating chamber.

For 50$ cheaper id go Alfa but that's just me.

I just put some grounded product on a small folded piece of paper, (the subscription cards that come in magazines are perfect for this) and let it slide right in. If it overflows, it goes into the chamber under the door, and then its easy to just push it down into the heating chamber

Funny you mention this technique, as I feel like the folded index card that I've been carrying around with my Alfa for the past month and a half has reached drug paraphernalia status. =)

Just had another session. Might just be the honeymoon stage but i love this thing. Packed it with about .1 and damn am i impressed. I had a session using med and hi with 2 people using it. We are both in a great state now and were getting great clouds. Idk if this thing has an auto shutoff because it felt like it was on forever. Might have been 10 or more minutes.

After 5 sessions the light turned amber so I'm going to give it a charge because i plan on using it tn. I wonder if i could have gotten another session.

Right now its different. It is a stealthy conduction cape. The solo is a great portable. Probably still the best around, but this little thing for its price is awesome.

yeah, already knew bout that, but is the vapor quality and quantity difference huge? because i can buy another solo on massdrop and would be even cheaper than the alfa, also i never had problems carrying around my solo, but i wanted to try something new, is it worth it?

I had a session late last night and the thing was giving me great vapor quality. Nice thick dense hits. It's not harsh which is very surprising for such a small unit. Taste is great great clouds my only complaint is the top of the load does not come out even but it's such a small oven that when you actually empty it out it is only a couple tiny pieces that are uneven

Yes, SiDankies is right here, the Alfa gives great vapor and taste.
After 2 weeks, I am AMAZED at this thing. It does everything great and at $199 is well worth the price.

Although my Alfa is on it's way, I keep checking back to make sure I made the right decision and it looks like I have.

Mine will arrive Dec 8th :spliff: and I just can't wait to give it a try!

You are going to love it. I had the Pax, and this is sooo much better. I have the Firefly as well, and every night I think I'm going to make time with it, only to never put down the Alfa. Just remember to move the screen from under the mouth piece to the bottom of the chamber for better performance.

I have had my unit a week or a little longer now and im loving it, its been my goto vape over my ascent with bubbler lol. Its just so easy to clean and sitting on the sofa watching tele is so cool as its tiny yet produces some nice thick tasty clouds. I grind my load, with a crappy grinder so its small pieces, pack that in nice and tight lol, then hit it on medium for a few nice clouds then high all the way haha. Something interesting tho i cant remember the max temp on the alfa ? I no its claimed quite high. I can empty my alfa and put it the vaped contents into my ascent hit it on max and get a few clouds, not massive clouds but satisfying enough :-) its a bit of a chore tho but thought id mention it as the ascents max emp is 430f

Also guys remember when shutting the oven don't push down on the lid too hard to try and close it.

The first day I got mine I opened it to peep the chamber and went to close it. I was pushing it down hard because it seemed like it wasn't shut and I accidentally popped out all the internals from the sleeve. So just be careful with that.

Could you elaborate on this? My alfa is on the way, and I am HIGHLY accident prone. I feel like this is a mistake I would make.

What he meant is just don't over pack the chamber and then push down hard on an overflowed chamber. This vape is built like a tank. Don't worry...

Anyways, I think this vape is as good as anything else out there. I freakin love how tiny it is, tasty it is and along with my pinnacle water tool is so stealthy and efficient.

I would like to see a shootout review of the alfa vs. the arizer air.

Same , the 2 portables i am most interested in right now are this and the air. I'd really like to see a shoot out. I like this bc it's small and cloud production looks great from the few videos i have seen. The air looks bigger but the plus side for me is the air has replaceable batteries and i like that i can go away camping or something and just take a few spare batteries with me. Really tough dissensions , someone do a shootout please.

Yes like mentioned by few other users, I'd love to see some more comparisons with other vapes. I own a solo, and def excited about the release of the air. However, no matter how great the vapor quality may be, it's not a device that I can easily toss into my pocket on the go, due to the hot glass stem.

I've been tempted to get a pax just for portability sake, but feel risky getting a expensive device that is so finicky with the mouthpiece and and cleaning routine. The diamond white does look super nice.

So as a middle ground I'm hoping the alfa will be best of both worlds. Video reviews show it being quite diminutive in size so that is a great characteristic. Now I'm worried about whether the quality of the vapor would be able to get the job done. I do have a high tolerance from combusting, and even the solo seemed a bit underwhelming at times. (I understand it's still a portable, not a desktop).

Alfa users, any additional feedback or comparison would be greatly appreciated. Everything seems pretty positive so far, but the thread hasn't really took off, so just making sure the alfa isn't just getting hyped up.

If all goes well, looking to pull the trigger by Friday! Stealth and potency of vapor are key concerns.

Trust me, you cannot go wrong with the Alfa. Its' sooo much better than the pax. The chamber is the perfect size (the pax is too large), it is easy to clean with no maintenance (you have to lube the stem of the pax), and is smaller than the Pax. I think it KILLS the Pax. This thread might have not taken off yet since this device is so new and comes from Ireland. Not many people have it yet

Yeah, cleaning is dead simple. I could even use this in public because it doesn't stick out the Palm of hands and doesn't stink up the joint. Besides the battery not being replaceable by us, I think it is the best portable out right now. Goboof Will have a battery replacement program and are coming out with accessories.

In all honesty if you didn't like the solo you might not like this. Combusters seem to like clouds and the solo is probably the hardest hitting portable so just keep that in mind.

For me to get my best clouds you have to pack the oven full

is the alfa compatible w/ 220v or i have to use a converter?
The adapter says 100-240V 50/60hz

Just get an adapter for the socket and you're good to go

No... I tried the Solo and sold it because it was low temp and wispy. The Pax on medium hits like the Solo on 7, and the Pax on high is way hot and almost smoky.

The Alpha medium feels slightly below Pax medium and Alpha high feels like halfway between Pax med and high IMO

Dude Solo is not wispy lol on 5 you can get monster rips..

But to stick to the Alfa can this thing be used while charging?
