I see how this can be taken too literally though, I will add a warning about the warranty being voided as I did in my earlier post too

:peace:

Thanks, and again, that's not my only safety concern. It's not even the only one I've brought up in this thread. Dangerous area, IMO.

Thanks for giving it due respect. Be a real pity if a fellow member messed up his unit or lost the warranty through well intended advice here. And truly tragic if someone started a fire or got hurt.

Thanks for helping in the 'protecting each other' game.

I believe the battery estimates have been approx. 5-6 ten minute sessions per battery? So approx. 1 hour of vaping per charge.

Yes, that's what my (unnamed) friend reports. And I believe Centizen? To me it makes sense, the same basic heater gets about two hours total run in Solo with two similar batteries. No magic.

No worries, thanks for calling me out on that. I just got excited thinking about possible alternatives.

I've edited my posts about the alternative cells and added warning about the warranty and general battery safety, It'd indeed be a shame to see someone vent a battery or worse in their device.

Yer a good man, but no doubt mom already told you as much?

Watching out for each other is the idea, right?

On the lighter side, venting a cell in use would sure get you back to going to church regular wouldn't it? After a change of trousers of course......

You lie, I'll swear to it.

Thanks again.

These concerns are what have kept me from giving specific battery related advice in context of the Air. When I say that you can use other batteries with the Air, what I am saying is "This is technically possible", and not "You should do this". At this point, I do not recommend that general users experiment with other models of battery. If something bad is going to happen to someone's Air, I want it to happen to mine first.

It took several weeks of dedicated research for me to get to the point where I was confident offering the NCR18650B as an alternative solution for the Solo. I want at least as much time to go into researching here. While my initial results have been positive, please know that there is much more to batteries that meet the eye and initial results can be deceiving. What is occurring long term inside of the battery is the important part, and seeing that is going to require time and some equipment most vaporists won't have at their disposal.

If you use other batteries, your doing it at your own risk. If you are dead set on doing this though, make sure you know what your doing. You need to be able to supply at least 4A constant drain current and we don't know what the cutoff voltage is. The battery supplied with the Air is unprotected IMR.

Saw a few pages back steama said it comes with a pre-charged battery so it's good to go directly out of the box. Is this correct?? I recall having to do 2x burn in runs (12 minutes each) on my solo before I started vaping!

Also, somebody asked some good questions earlier and I'm also curious!

1. How long should I have the Air on for before inserting the stem?

2. How long should I let it sit once I've inserted the stem?

3. What will the outcome be if I take a few hits but don't want to finish the bowl? Can I just leave the stem in there, and then heat it up a couple hours later? Or do I need to remove it and mix it up and let it sit separately?

I'm excited I received my Air today. I have it charging up. I will update when I have a chance to try it out. I was suppose to receive it tomorrow. I'm glad it came early. I know nothing about batteries. It says the batteries have fault and heat protection.

I have the blue sleeve on mine and I have a black unit. I have a pic with the Solo and the Pinnacle Pro so folks can see the size compared to the Air. I have it charged up!

Han Solo

Guess which vape I got just before joining
And so begins the passage into antiquated obscurity of my user name pun...

That said, I like the look this upgrade. I haven't gotten one yet, and I probably won't for a while, but the only improvement I really wanted for the solo was swappable batteries. They've done that and made it smaller, so once I can reasonably spare it, they'll get my money.

@OF the first post of the thread says it features a 10-minute session timer instead of the 12-minute that the Solo has. It was reported but you may have glossed over that part with all the info pouring in now...

Excited to see pictures (and videos!), I may have to order a few of the new stems for my Solo... I noticed they look like dram jars, I know the 1/2" dram jars fit into the Solo but it's a tight fit even on mine. Would be nice to unscrew the mouthpiece and then put some cotton in there to block debris from flowing to the mouthpiece and clogging it...

I feel like the only thing this thing needs is some extra batteries and a more stealthy mouthpiece. IMO it sticks out the most (glass part)

The small air tube is two inches total. Most of that is inserted into the device itself. How much less could you really ask for? There has to be less than an inch of glass exposed.

Also, what color silicone sleeves did you guys get? I got white, but i really wish i got a black. I don't think when I ordered they listed the sleeves for sale yet.

That's huge! If that's the case then it will work upright or inverted into any 14mm gong. Is it really a good fit, or do you feel like you are McGyvering it?
na bro tight like a virgin;)

there is also a circular silicone washer at the bottom of the black mp with a hole the same size as the top of the mp tiny and clever. Also removable

This thing is legit. Wish I would have grabbed an extra battery. A few extra cells will make it really nice. The battery cap is threaded very smoothly. Kind of a weird observation but it screamed "quality" to me.

One of those multi cell chargers and 4 batteries will make this perfect. For light users probably not a problem but for users medicating daily it will be more useful. The flavor on Blue and White is better then my Volcano IMO. It heats up faster, loads easier, and is more efficient. Higher temp volcano wins on flavor, gonna try running it through water and see what happens. I really wanted a Crafty but I could see getting my own Air if Arizer has a Christmas sale coming up.

I wasnt really thinking about shorter, was thinking a black air with black colored glass (as short as you listed) would have been cool. But im sure there will be plenty of mods and aftermarket options as well. Wondering who will be the first to put some carefully placed cotton in there? After it accumulates oil it would look pretty legit

EDIT: NVM, I need a nap or something; sorry for the tag @OF, I cant do math lol

My battery needed to be charged. It only took a couple hours and it was ready. Initial thoughts - I like the white temp that's 374. I was trying out the little glass stem but prefer the Solo stem so it's not as harsh. I needed the extended air path but the short stem will work at a lower temp. Very nice vapor flavor and clouds similar to that of the Solo. The stem fits nice and snug, no play in the stem wobbling around. At first I was worried the stem might break when inserting.

Nicely medicates, I'm feeling toasty. This Cherry Kush tastes mighty fine.;)

EDIT - Also for those of you ordering through Arizer. I made a note and told them if I wasn't home to put the package on the front porch. There is a spot to give them any messages about the purchase. I didn't need to sign for it even though in the email it said that it needed a signature. It was on the porch when I got home.

I go where the thrills are
I have a particular vape that will go nameless that requires inconvenient bowl stirs about every 3 to four draws. It is very nice to enjoy a session in the air without the need to stir.

I normally don't put stock in the paranormal but right now I am reading your mind...:p

I am using the stock stem on heat level blue (356 degrees) with superb flavor. It puts out big clouds just like the Solo. It does not get hot where you hold on to it. It gets pretty hot where the glass and unit meet, the top portion. I can run a bowl with herb for 2 ten min sessions. That's what I get with the Solo.
