Coldness / Shaking, Certain Strains?

Hey guys/gals. I've been a long time smoker, short time combuster. Long story short is, I used to not have any negative side effects from MJ. Now, if I don't have a few beers (at least 2), and I smoke more than a couple hits, I will get very very cold and shaky. I will also get nervous/anxious.

I'm to understand that MJ drops blood sugar.. maybe that's part of the problem (I'm assuming).

I usually vape hybrids such as Blue Dream or Girl Scout Cookies. Should I move to a different type? I don't want to become couch-locked, but I also don't want to be nervous and freezing my @$$ off all the time either.

The only way that I can smoke and not get these negative side effects is after a beer or two. Does anybody else experience this? Any remedies or strains that work better than others?

If you vape at low temps then your turning your hybrid into sativa like effects. The solo on level 2 (185 c / 365 f ) makes me very jumpy but over 400 f and I am more relaxed.

I remember this happening to me as a teenager, and I've heard the sensation described from others as well. The feeling of being nervous and on edge along with shivering makes me think it has to be some sort of nervous system response, not sure exactly what the mechanism could be.

You say you've found alcohol stops this from happening, which also makes think it must be a response of the nervous system; the depressant effect of alcohol calms you down

Indeed, anxiety runs through my dad's side of the family. I have multiple family members (including me) who have prescription Xanax. Maybe I will try to take my medication prior to vaping to help combat the side effects.
