next generation e-nails?

goin to some place where I've never been before
My roommate picked up one of those Terpz enails. For the most part it works good. Quick heat up time, about 4-5 mins and its at temp. Came with a quartz nail but he was able to speak with the maker of it and he promised a titanium nail at a good discount in a week or so. The heating coil fits a little loose on the quartz nail so i dont think we are getting the full potential of the heating coil yet, but its still performed rather nice IMO. The coil reaches all the way to bottom of the dish so there is no pooling effect on the bottom that i've noticed, at the right temp we are getting nearly complete vaporization with little residue left on the nail, no more than I've seen on other people's titanium enails. When taking the hit the temps on the enail drop about 50 degrees, takes a minute or so to get back to the set temp then its ready to rock again. Maybe this drop and reheat time will be reduced with a good fitting titanium nail. For the price and personal customer service from the maker 230 (shipped within the US) for the complete package aint bad at all.

EDIT - my roommate says that they told him they will offer the complete package with the titanium nail for 220 + 10 shipping also (once they are in)

Update - I broke the carb cap and got a new carb cap that fits on the top of the nail instead of around the sides, which made it touch the heating coil. So now without it touching the coil it doesnt drop in temp so much when taking the dab, only about 3-5 degrees. So no need to wait in between dabs now, can just keep going gauntlet style. :)

I got an Errlectric Concentration Station. This thing is great! Just set the temp and it just sits there waiting for the next derb.:freak: I started a thread about it HERE. So far, I am really loving this thing. Everyone who likes dabbing needs one of these.

It appears they registered their website Sept 24, website went online the 27th. While just now researching the terpx, I ran across this link:

http://gimido.bigcartel.com

http://gimido.bigcartel.com/product/best-quality-enail-with-coil

I just ordered a bunch of parts to build my own E nail from this website.
I got a really nice pid,box,coil,20mm quartz domeless. All for about 280$ shipped.
I could have went a lot cheaper with the PID and nail, but decided to go for what I really wanted.
I'll report back once it's up and running.

Ok, I am a flavour snob and I want a dedicated enail that will fit on my Ryu Wilson piece. I am considering a DIY D-Nail w/ 16mm quartz direct inject nail and encased heater - but wanna know if there is any other option that will be as good?

I want quartz or ceramic, not Titanium. I have a Sublimator XLR 2.0 ti dabmaster already (I want a dedicated enail because I don't wanna mix my delicious reclaim shatter with flower sublimate - among other reasons!).

I want flavour, quick heat up time, small size/weight (has to fit my mini rig) and I want no pooling at the bottom of the nail. Does anyone know if the pukinbeagle 16mm quartz nail pools at the bottom of if the inside floor of the nail is high enough up the cup?

Cheers! :D

All my days in a daze...
hey mate, I am also looking for an e-nail.
I like @Caligula's set-up with a flat coil & ceramic nail.

I have a VERY cheap ($7 shipped) Ebay ceramic domeless that has taken the place of my various quartz domeless nails (castle, banger, halenhoneyhole styles).
To my tastebuds ceramic seems to taste slightly 'cleaner' than quartz.

I do really like the look of The 710 Whip, and I do love low temp carb capped dabs on the ceramic, but I worry about buyers regret not spending more and getting a 'proper' unit that can actually reach 700f.

I could see ceramic being better tasting actually brother. But from what I've seen so far there are not really any enails I can get that come with a ceramic nail that look appealing...

The 710 whip is not for me, I want to be able to get to higher temps than that :)

Please do suggest me ceramic enails though! What have you been leaning towards man? :)

EDIT: The Errrlectric looks amazing too, with the exception that it doesn't seem to have any options for nails apart from ti!

I dig that about the 701 whip.. that's the sole reason I don't already own one. I know myself, I know I'd regret not going proper.

No, you're right, there doesn't seem to be any e-nails that come with ceramic nails. AFAIK, Caligula uses a nail from Domeless.com along with a flat coil. The dish of the nail sits right on top flush with the coil, seems very advantageous design.

I agree the Errrrlectric looks the nuts. It actually also has a neat optional quartz insert that sits inside the Ti nail. @DieHard uses this set-up and has posted videos.

I have to say that I love my Errlectric unit! So nice to be off the torch! The flavor on the Quartz insert is awesome!

I couldn't request some milk vids with the glass insert reasonably close up to the nail, could I? :D

Perhaps one hit with carb and one without? Please do use that quartz :D many thanks my friend!

Also on being careful with cables and mini rigs, definitely man, a wire makes things much more precarious lol

I generally use my pieces on a bedside table, all cables are run around the back of the table beside the wall so there is no way anyone can trip on the cord or get caught on it!

I may have to do videos tomorrow. Moms birthday today, gotta go out to dinner.

On the mini-rigs with an e-nail... I've been thinking about some type of Velcro arrangement to hold my smaller rigs for e-nail use.

Cheers man :)

Also, the mind boggles with all of these options for kinds of nails!

We have your standard ti or quartz options, errlectric ti with quartz sleeve, d-nail ti or quartz with ceramic insert, or even sapphire insert! Then there are obviously the options to buy after market ceramic nails and use these. What to do!?!??!

How do we rate hybrid nails for performance and taste?

Anyone got any views on the following hybrid combinations?

ti + ceramic
ti + sapphire
ti + quartz
quartz + ceramic
quartz + sapphire

I personally prefer the 20mm coil over the 16, but that's just my personal preference. I like the gap between the Wall and middle hole of the nail.

So I'm waiting on the delivery of my new D-Nail 1.2 with PukinBeagle 20mm tapered DI nail and PukinBeagle quartz carb cap :D

Super stoked to put it through the motions when it arrives express in a week or so! :D

EDIT: By the way, found a great example of the pooling on the nail issue from the floor of a quartz nail being below the coil. Check out this video, massive dab with an OCEAN of oil in the cup by the end of it!

my parts came in for my E-Nail!
I got it all put together in about 2hrs. ended up going with the 20mm coil and domeless quartz nail. no overrun at all or temp drop, this thing is beast mode! it's a lot smaller than a dnail, I was really suprised at how small it is. coil is a mini 4 pin xlr connector

@Soflo -- Loving that green color of the box. Would you mind listing the exact parts you chose for your build? Or PM me the list of parts?
Thanks!

this is the website I got everything from.
you'll need:
Pid. (temp controller)
female xlr 4 pin. (power outlet for coil)
led button. (on/off heat to coil)
toggle switch. (on/off power)
female 110v power port.
power cable.
20mm heater coil.
18mm domeless quartz nail for a 20mm heater coil.
solid state relay.
I went with 40a but I would recommend a smaller one.
16 gauge wire.
aluminum housing. (lots of cool colors)
ask for them to program the Pid and also ask for a wiring diagram

no problem man, I woke up this am still vaked from last night! I'm thinking my tolerance is going to be going up very soon

Looks great man. I really like that box, button, pid, and small xlr. I like everything about it. The size is great.

I may have to build a new enail. Just for looks lol. And I normally couldn't care less about looks over function.
