Is anyone else's charger making an awful high pitch whine?

Let's please leave any talk about the Crafty (or any other vaporizer for that matter) in their respective threads.

Thank you.

:peace:

All through the vaporizer threads you can find comparative reviews between vapes! Do you mean we can't do that any more???
Comparisons is the best thing there is when reviewing products, no matter how subjective they are! I'd love to see full comparisons between contenders on every page of a vape thread! It might drive me to buy another vape! Everybody wins and the conversations in the threads are not so boring with everyone saying the same exact things in his/her review…

I don't think Making an honest comparison is prohibited, it only becomes a problem when a person is bashing a vaporizer over another without giving a list of pros, and cons between them.

So i have not really followed up on my promises of a mega review, mainly because I haven't had time or the space to film a decent video review.

I feel like thru water it feels same as a solo. The flavor is really god damn good on the Air. The flavor does not taper off like was a complaint about the solo. Water performance was great. Used my favorite temp (white) a few times and it worked great. At higher temps could visibly milk some of my larger pieces.

I have tried it with a PV ground glass gong and a Joda nano gong, enjoying it a lot with the Joda gong.

I don't really use it with the solo stems because theyr're too difficult to get in, but I really love the air glass stems.

I don't know if airflow feels the same as new version solos. I had a 2014 solo for a short time before giving it away since i liked my m104/m107 more. I thought the m104 was too resistant but the m107 was my favorite. Now I can hit the m104 without any problem and like it most.

Since I never really was a big fan of the solo through water because of its resistance, i only used it dry. I can tell the flavor is better overall with the air, and you start getting huge hits as soon as it gets to temp which is truly wonderful. For these reasons I doubt I will be using my solo for a travel vape.

The m104 with the fresh VapePower battery will likely stay around for an all-day portable. The solo still is no less of an excellent vape but I think it would be my go to over the Air if I had to pick between having a portable or a desktop vape with me, but the Air is more effortless than the solo, has a lot of advantages - however the solo (especially the old ceramic one with much more resistance) provides much richer and denser hits i believe.

I will probably end up getting a couple replacement Air batteries, labelling them, and use that as my main portable from here on out, with the occasional Iolite v2 session

Although, if the air turns out to be as reliable as I hope, maybe an Air with a few extra batts could replace my solo altogether... although shame there's no equivalent of the PA function, at least not that we know of.

If there's anything else i can speak to on this vape let me know.

Yeah signature required is annoying, had that issue with Firefly but thankfully it came on a Saturday...

It shipped today so mayb someone will be home when it comes on presuming Friday, but I can't guarantee that at all. I guess I'll try leaving a signed note on the door and hope they leave it if no one answers...

Also have not had any luck getting Arizer to do anything about the chips in my Solo bottom, that are cracking and getting worse as bigger pieces will break off. Its a shame bc i was hoping to sell mine once I have the Air, and it is surefly devalued now...

@exit so is the delrin mouthpiece's 14mm connection not actually so useful then? I don't have any gongs for the solo but i have a 18-14 reducer so was hoping I'd finally get to try through water with the Air...

I haven't read yet where you can plug the Air in without the battery? You can do that with the No. 2. That would be a good feature. Ordered the Air last Friday and its suppose to be here in WA the 5th of Dec. I thought I was getting Express Shipping? I didn't see anywhere that I could have opted for a different shipping method on Arizer's site. I'm just not very patient.

I only mentioned the Crafty because I was curious how they compare. Everybodys want the best bang for the buck they can get.

There are a lot of fresh vapes right now so it can be fairly difficult to choose one. We have the Flowermate, Goboof Alfa, Arizer Air, Crafty & Mighty, Indica Noir, Haze, Imag Plus, INH05, etc. Plus deciding if you should go for something new or a classic.

I'm starting to think I should have maybe ordered 2 Air's while they were on sale. Wonder if they will be doing a Christmas sale. Tracking says December 5th, hoping it comes today instead. Ordered in the 28th to Southern California.

I agree, it's a PITA. But I think we can all understand how some (few no doubt) rip honest sellers off this way? Hard to blame them at one level, I sure don't want to pay extra for mine because someone else is being dishonest......and am sure most agree?

In the past, when I've been 'caught' (Delta 9 is 'famous' for this......), I've simply taken the 'chit' down to claim my prize at the PO when convenient. I hate my local PO, always a new horror show going on when I visit, but a new toy waiting takes some of that sting out. And it tickles me how they might freak if they understood the tool of the Devil I had in that box they were holding.

On the matter of cracks and chips in the base, Arizer is on record as that not being an issue with the function of the unit (what they guarantee). That base plate is a huge deal actually, it's the backbone of the entire unit and it also carries the serial number. Pretty much a 'worst case' from a service standpoint since you'd basically have to completely disassemble the unit to change it out. They could 'go broke' with some guy's demands I bet if they offered infinite rebuilds on demand?

As Mason said to Dixon, "come on, we gotta draw the line somewhere...".

I haven't read yet where you can plug the Air in without the battery?

Sorry you missed it, no that's not possible. Nasty old rules of Physics again. Not enough power available from the WW for the job, nor a way to use it in the design. It's not a "passthrough" or PA.

This was, I think, discussed a few times in abstract, and confirmed by no less than our very own Centigen in exhausting personal testing........ You need a battery in there with at least a partial charge. But, ironically, if you have that you don't need 'shore power' for a session anyway, right?

OTOH, you just asked 'can you plug it in without a battery', which of course you can do......I assumed you intended something more along the line of 'will it work'. That could just be my first dumb assumption of the day........

I think a screw on wooden wong mouthpiece for the Air would be awesome though, hopefully Arizer are hooking @Ed's TnT up with an Air so he can make something special!

Hello and good morning, I actually have an Air on my way as soon as my guy gets his shipment in! Says I will be the first to get one before any of his customers, so be on the lookout!

I ordered Mine on Black Friday as well and it is supposed to be delivered on the 4th. It looks like they didn't actually ship it until Monday, which was dissapointing. They're probably overloaded arm.

I think I'm going to work from home so I can sign. Also a bummer. Not sure why they don't let you opt out for that - maybe they are avoiding shipping insurance?

Edit: I'm also in WA

Some vaporizer comparison is inevitable in almost any vaporizer thread. However when objective comparison gives way to subjective opinions and product/company bashing (or cheering), a line must be drawn.

Again, I think they're trying to avoid 'I didn't get it, send me another right away' rip offs. At least that's what other makers with similar policies have said. Insurance won't cover it without a signature?

Perhaps an 'opt out' plan where you promise to not demand replacement for non delivery could be set up, but would you agree to such a deal? Neither would I. And, as I said a few posts back on this topic, I don't want to pay more for mine to cover those losses and am pretty sure nobody else does.

Not an easy issue, but I see two sides to it. In the fullness of time, capitalism should let you buy from a dealer that doesn't have this policy......for now it's not only the best game in town, but the only one?

Very well put. IMO objective comparisons and suggestions add great value to the Forums, but it's a 'two edged sword' for sure.....it can really screw it up if agendas surface.

Hopefully we can benefit from staying in this side of the line in such matters, continued problems might lead to flat out prohibitions to maintain order......

Thanks for running herd on the cats, Stu.

Hi Folks, i was wondering if its difficult to get the mouthpiece to fit in the heat chamber, i was watching the videos and it seems like some force is required and the use of both hands, that being said i only have use of one hand so i wanted to know how difficult it is and if This unit is ideal for my situation.

Too early to tell, of course, but it's assumed the seal will behave like the Solo one does. There it can be very tight when new, more so with larger stems (they vary some). Over time, the seal loosens up so the stems fall out.

Heating the unit up before trying to insert the stem makes the seal softer and easier to deal with.

I too have periods of being rendered 'one handed'. I got a brand new Solo at just such a time. I did OK holding the unit between my legs (you need to push straight in basically).

OTOH, the stock stems will need to be unscrewed for maintenance, you might consider ordering a couple of Solo stems? They should be easier to keep clean? Perhaps a Solo might even be a better choice (it's cheaper and will do more sessions per charge......).

I hope you can 'work around' this, be a true pity to miss out on what looks to be an exciting new vape.

Regards,

My Canada post shipping information does not say that it requires a signature at all.

Same here, I have searched the Canada Post tracking page and cannot find any mention of signature required.
I suspect these must be shipments to Americans that require signature? Maybe some policy for international shipments/USPS policies.

My newer solo had very little restriction, but the glass stems that came with it wobble too much that it got on my nerves, so I made my own out of titanium. Ended up selling it to a friend to help finance buying a crafty.

Man, for a thread about the Air, I can't believe all the hype about the Crafty. Fuck the Crafty!

As someone who owns a solo I'm going to put my 2 cents in....

Love my new solo. The wobbly stem sucked but an o ring fixed that. I love using it around the house, especially when I cook or am watching TV. I DON'T like it for when I hike as the glass stem is something else I have to worry about. I have one of eds wood stems but find it a bit restrictive to airflow and prefer the taste of the glass.

I do have some cash to blow so rather than get a thinner solo, which I would most likely use in the same manner, I'm going to dish out a little more money and get the crafty. I'll be able to hike, ski and be out and about with that. Plus I do want to see if it lives up to the hype.

Mine says sig required.
In the "Track History" box at the bottom it says: "Shipping Options and Features for this item: Signature Required."
Mine left Canada yesterday and is supposed to be delivered in California tomorrow.
