Am I able to swap out my top?



I have an sr74 on the way and a bunch of goodies for the sr74. Really want to be able to use it as soon as it arrives!

I have the V2 top, performing flawlessly as well. But like you, I am wondering if an upgrade is worth it or even necessary at all...

There haven't been a ton of details released on the V4 top but I know at least a few members of this forum have beta tested them. As far as I can gather the V4 uses a touch sensitive button and has the locking feature found in the V3 top and latest generation Omicron Lite.

There doesn't seem to be a compelling reason to upgrade from V2 or V3 to V4 unless you really hate the button or your top breaks.

Can any beta testers or @THC SCIENTIFIC provide more details on V4 features?

@elmoe420 the Persei v4 tops are specifically built for the Hercules and Ti kiss carts, the top itself has better short circuit protection against fubars, and also incorporates the hammer top function along with a self adjusting center pin.

The entire reason the w9 tech product system is so awesome is to get away from the pre-filled CO2 and or glycerin diluted 510 carts cause they're so terrible.... lol. But yes the 601 battery to 510 cart will let you use the 510 cart on your Omicron or Persei. If your shop has Ego threaded carts you may need the other adapter.

The answer is warranty it as far as I've seen. What if I just want to buy one and not fuck around with warranty at all? Every other part can be purchased on its own, so I was hoping that applies to the tops too. I don't feel like having downtime and sending mine in right now.

IDK if in the past the tops were sold, or warranty only. There has never been a way to just simply buy a top in the time I've owned any persei goods.

I do look forward to getting the herc in the next cpl of weeks or so but I was recently introduced to pre-filled c02 carts (absolute extracts, tetra labs) with no added gunk from a dispensary and I've been really happy with the flavor and operation of both of them. Constant flavor, nice clouds, no leaking, easy pull. Could it be that the delivery and extraction methods of these carts are more advanced now to where they deserve another look?

Wait so the v4 top will come with an on-off function? Will people with a v3 and hammer top be able to trade those in for a v4 eventually? If so, I hope it comes with free shipping and/or some coupon/store credit if it's 1 v4 top for a v3 and a hammer.

I have not tried them yet but they say they are 0.4 gram per cartridge and it should be equal to 2.5 grams of flowers. They are only charging $20 so i figured i would give it a shot and see how they are. The state is still real new to the medical stuff so i am excited to see where it goes from here

I just received my Persei. Charged the first battery. Wasn't watching it but turned solid green so I placed my second battery in the charger. After awhile, I realized it was blinking red. In the manual, it states that it could be solid green, blinking green, or blinking red when charged. I took it out of charger. Did not use the Persei yet. Does your battery ever flash red?
