Well I tried the pad as the top screen a few bowls worth but noticed the same residue glaze buildup in the cooling chamber/mouthpiece. A short ISO bath anf spot checking with w quips worked well. Kinda disappointed with how gunky the device gets and was hoping it wouldn't require much cleaning.

All I can say is that it doesn't require as much cleaning as the pax or FF and retains way more flavor even with gunky buildup far longer than either of those devices.

I have just purchased a crafty from Vapefiend, and hope I won't be disappointed!
Although reading through this thread, on reddit and in videos have made me very excited. I currently use a MFLB so it will be interesting to see the difference between the amount of cannabis used and the quality of the vapour. (Although I will admit that since I got the MFLB power adaptor, the technique hasn't really mattered as such)

I decided against the Mighty due to it's large size, large chamber and the price being above what I am comfortable paying. Although the Crafty is at the very top of what I would have wanted to pay for a vaporizer, I believe in quality and hopefully the device will last me for atleast 3 years of regular use.

Was also interested in the Arizer Air, however as it only available in America I didn't want to have to deal with customs delays and charges.

Oh it is? I probably misread it somewhere that with the Mighty you had to use more weed in the bowl compared to the crafty but you could put a liquid screen in the bowl to make it smaller?

Something interesting with this device. Perhaps I'm just too new to vaporizing, but the vapor production doesn't seem all that huge with both strains I've used. I understand the lighting, background, can all influence it which is what leads me to my next point. I get probably 40+ 10 second hits with visible vapor to a full bowl. I'm not even packing these bowls tight, just packing fluffy grind until the filling aid plug barely compresses the material. I probably do half and half on modified regular/boost temps. 185C / 200C. Always dark brown material when finished. No disappointment in anything except possibly the vapor production with my strains?

EDIT - Oh and I love how I can split a bowl with my stepson, then later when I go solo I just pack 1/3 a bowl and put the liquid pad on top. Works great.

yeap drawing slowly at the start helps in getting massive clouds. can actually blow vapour rings! :D

anyone else feel less inclined to sip on their crafty and instead just feel like finishing a bowl in one go?

the crafty looks cool but i'm not sure what the appeal is when the mighty is $70 more? i have no need for my vape to have bluetooth and i can't really tell what the crafty has over the mighty aside from size and the ability to change temps without a separate device.

The thing is i use the same temp to vape 90% of the time but I also feel like the lack of temp changing and the fact it has bluetooth are both deterrants to me. does this mean the crafty is not the vape for me and i should look into mighty?

It's all in the reflexes.
Crafty charges through USB. Some find that more convenient. But the mighty has better battery life.

The real and main advantage of the Crafty is size. If the size difference of the Mighty doesn't bother you, I would absolutely recommend the Mighty over the Crafty for you.

No the first time it was working fine the next time I tried to use it it wouldn't turn on. This time I was using it noticed the light went off but it didn't vibrate when I tried to turn it back on I got the red and yellow flash and then nothing. This time I was using it while plugged in last time it wasn't plugged in.

Just got my unit! About to purge some reclaim and noticed my liquid pad fits WHOLE bowl. Is this normal? It's partially cut like if it was 3 pads in one. How big should it be? I def can't fit anything at all below it if I'm using it.

I posted a description of how I was able to use small loads with the Plenty Vaporizer using a ring of cotton in the bowl. The Plenty is like a desktop version of the Crafty/Mighty in almost every way. The only big difference I found was the load size you had to use with the Plenty.

I just wanted to share this with my fellow Crafty/Mighty owners because I would think having a plug-in home vape that can adjust to slighter larger loads and works essentially the same would be appealing. Particularly for Crafty owners because of it's short battery life. Here's the link to my post in the Plenty thread.

Did it happen to fail the first time you used this replacement while plugged in? I still swear that high drain batteries don't like to charge while using them. IDK why your first one failed since it wasn't plugged in, but just PERHAPS I might be correct that there is probably a higher failure rate while using it while charging than just using it on its own?

It's not suppose to be cut up like that. You should call Storz & Bickel and ask them to send you a new one. And if you do get a new one, I'd cut that one completely in half or a third of a way, so you have two or three sizes to choose from. I've always found the pad to be a little too thick and planned on cutting one of them up when ever I got around to buying a wear and tear set.
