gold all in my chains...dont believe me just watch
Alright! Look like it's finally my turn to be the first on the bus.

Look what came in the mail today! Sorry for the iPad photos and messy workspace, but honestly would you want me to waste any time in getting these images to you? This is an unboxing/picture post, I'll be going into more detail on the operation and engineering after I have had some time to spend with it.

Looks like they have plans for a Titanium coloured unit in the future

The air comes with 2 mouthpieces, 1 potpourri dish, 1 charger, 1 Air, 1 sleeve and this awesome little belt holster!

Heater looks pretty much exactly the same as later Solo models:

The underside of the unit screws off to expose the removable battery:

The battery on the left (green) is one of my high capacity 18650 cells. The red one on the right is the stock battery that came with the Air. From what I can tell (need to do some testing on it) these are standard 2600mAh LiCo cells.

Got a kick out of this, I guess someone forgot to update the reminder slip!

And oh my - it stands up while charging?! Our prayers have been answered!!

Wow I gotta say that DOES look more pocket friendly!

So I don't understand the ceramic/chipping problem that I have seen mentioned before since the heater part does look the same...

When you get a chance can u comment on the resistance when inserting/removing the air and solo stems? A pic with those solo stems u got in the corner would be awesome too...That's the only question I can think of right now but looks like I'm getting this instead of goboof alpha.

I too believe that arizer is ahead of the learning curve. I mean, nobody even leaked any info about this until arizer actually put it up for sale (no preorders, no manufacturing/logistics updates, no pushing back release dates, plus they come out the gates with a discount on a brand new product) - that's either the confidence of a veteran team or crazy stupid arrogance. They're a Canadian company so I'll guess the former. I will be ordering this tonight… If anybody is looking for other ways to save, you can sign up for credit card deals right now and if you spend a certain dollar amount in the first three months, you can get either $150 (discover IT) or $200 (chase freedom) cash back… Which is nice to offset the costs since probably everyone is in shopping mode right now.

God bless the ups guy who delivers on Sunday (I didn't even know that was physically possible except for santa)

They look like they are designed to limit air flow with those tiny little holes.

They are indeed removable, they screw off like this. They aren't rubber, but rather a hard plastic.

@CentiZen so it's an 18650 after all?
also, pro keyboard spotted.

i dunno if i'll be seen with the belt clip on my pants but that's definitely a welcome addition that will be nice when i travel :)

Yep, seems to be a fairly standard, albeit fairly new 18650 cell. I've already tracked down the manufacturer. I see myself using the belt clip when I'm snowboarding more than anything although I'll probably just keep that in a pocket too.

And I love this keyboard! Kinesis makes some serious hardware.

Yeah I'm not sure where that's coming from, it's all metal in there save for the teflon ring.

It was actually Canada Post, believe it or not. I didn't even know they did service on the weekends!

The upper layer of Arizer is made up a team of very smart, very dedicated people who have spent the last few years coming to understand exactly how this market works. As well, they are all extremely paranoid (with good reason) to the point that it took some serious effort (eg, knocking on the door of employees) getting in contact with them. They are all very smart, savvy businesspeople and they know exactly what they are doing.

But actually speaking in realistic terms here, I see lots of love for recyclers and hydratubes.
Personally I fancy myself getting a D020 variant.. something with a turbine and or fritted disc in it for good diffusion. Here's to hoping I hop on the dhgate bandwagon of cheap glass before I eventually get an Air..
I do know that my RooR is a bit large for my solo to handle, I think it seems smart to start smaller- your J-hook being a good start it seems :peace:

I like the belt clip/pouch as a handy option to just toss in a larger bad, love the little stem sleeve.
I bet the plastic mouthpiece also helps cool the vapor a bit after seeing how short that stem is.
Love the stealthy look of the short stem with the black mouthpiece, very easy to pass as an e-cig. You might have convinced me @CentiZen !

Does this unit use actual AA batteries that you can buy at the store? And what would u say about the airflow?

The air comes with 2 mouthpieces, a potpourri dish, 1 charger, the Air unit, a silicone sleeve and this awesome little belt holster! It holds the Air, as well as has two little pouches on the side for mouthpieces or vials of ground bud. A nice touch that really improves the portability factor.

And here it is wearing the "coloured case" as the instruction book calls it. I'm going to call it what it is, a vape-condom. Toke safely kids!

My first impressions of this device are extremely favorable. The unit is made out of high quality materials and feels very solid. It's heavy enough to not feel cheap, but is light enough it could comfortably ride along in a decent sized pocket. I'm not usually the best judge of this sort of thing, but I don't smell any robot fart or strange odors coming off of it either. I am preparing to use it for the first time right now, so I will report back with the stuff you really want to know about shortly.

Thank you for sharing with us, very helpful info.

Btw, it looks like the Arizer Air temperature levels were updated again. The product page now is showing:

Mouthpiece looks like a vial! You could shove a bud in there or a piece of cotton or both, to catch golden stem nectar!

They also look very much like those cheap chinese clearomizers and I mean that in a very positive way. In combination with the whole e-cig mod look that makes for pretty good stealth properties. Even a well positioned piece of cotton would just look like the wick of the clearo, at least at first glance.

I mean those:

I think I have to push order...now...GNAH :zombie:

I really want this but i mostly use my portable vape when in public so i don't love the idea of a separate stem that's not built in. Im going to stick with my Goboof Alfa because its so much more portable and performs really well. The battery seems to last forever too.

I like these new settings more. You can have one good round at level 1, one good round on level 2, and then one last round at your general high temp of choice.

Cloudy...
Not sure if someone answered this but, can you use solo stems in this one? I don't like that plastic...

That mouthpiece is exactly what I thought it might be. Small hole which will limit the airflow so your friends can't overwhelm the heater. This will also make it optional to use a screen with finely ground bud as the mouthpiece will catch most of the loose material.

Very interesting.

How easy is it to remove mouthpiece and the silicone skin from the unit? Pretty tight fit or easy? Also, I wondering if the Solo travel and wall charger will work with the Air?

Does the skin serve as heat insulation and is it necessary? Since it comes with the clear/shite skin, I might get a black skin if I decide to buy because stealth is important to me.

Also, a lot of people including me were questioning whether the price would lower when you can purchase from other online vape shops. So far, I found one that's taking pre-orders; [link to site removed by moderator]

As you can see, they are not currently offering a price drop below what Arizer is listing it for (not counting the current sale on Arizer's site). I have read some negative things about Wizard Puff recently, however, so don't think this necessarily means that it will be $259 everywhere when it's fully released. It does make me wanna jump on this deal even more now, though.
