Another convert here, new to vaping and bought an Ascent initially, it does the job but felt a bit functional, read through this thread and decided the vapman could give me something a bit more personal.

Only had it 2 days but incredibly impressed already, tis a truly exceptional device

Hats off to the vapman for having the vision to create it, it has to be hands down the coolest way smoke or vape and adds that personal touch that electronic vapes can't give.

Thank you vapman.

Already sold the ascent btw, didn't seem a lot of point keeping it as it will never get used.

Edit: Something I forgot to mention but I think it is of importance. As far as reliable retailers in the US goes, I honestly only order from Vapornation, they have 20% off site wide right now. If you are okay with ordering from Canada I like Toronto Vaporizer but the points you earn at Vapornation can really rack up and you can have some pretty cool gear. They also have free add on's with most purchases. Good luck in your search for a new vape!
Both retailers have a great price for the Vapman as they are slightly on sale and have coupons. It works out to about $110 for the Classic including shipping and taxes and freebies. Toronto Vaporizer works out to nearly $3 cheaper. Hmm now my idle curiosity is threatening to become more...

@vapman when you say the temp is set manually do you mean it only has one temp or as it changes temps with a dimmer switch? Also for us American customers, do you have a quote on what one would run? I'm very interested as the Aromed has definitely been the easiest and best whip vape I've ever used for groups. If I can find a beautiful version that is more or less the same I might just have to splurge on a nice bedside buddy.

This unit has a ring transformer (110V/50W for american market) with three stages, it has to be preheated for two minutes on the highest level. Because the vapor and the content is well visible, it is very easy to see when to switch down to the second level. The third level is more or less a stand by level to keep it warm when one gets interrupted by a phone call or something. The third level could also be used for aromatherapy.
The visibility of the vapor and content makes this vaporizer a lot of fun to use, watching the vapor storm in the whiskey glass is an experience on its own.;) This unit is absolutely silent, very reliable, save and a lot of fun to use.

Thank you vapman.

Thank you, it is my pleasure to read about happy users!:)

It was a light kinda dull brown but it really darkened and became "fuller"
@Kidfated,thats a beautiful vape. Great job.

I think it's awesome that we have the option to get the basic version. With almost no effort, you get a beautiful Vapman that functions the same as the Classic and which I think looks just as good. :)

... As a box of ....
I have seven different strains in as many tubes rubber banded together ready to spur of the moment use in a number of vapes, one goes in my pocket when the Vapman and I go out to the garden.....

Seven strains yeah !
You should be playing egg roulette ---
Your egg has seven ( sides ?? ) number them inside
Take the top of your egg invert it in your bottom
Roll two balls in your fingers ( hash works ) one will
Occupy the centre and the other is to play with.
Give your egg a spin then drop the second ball in to
Select a strain .?

Nice thread here thanks for all the tips
Vapman changed my life

Sorry, I don't follow you. But if there's something I should do I sure want to be doing it. I sure don't want trouble with the Stash Rotation Gestapo.........

FWIW, I'm using 7 because it packs to a cylinder. Stranded wire is the same, it takes seven strands to make the crudest version, the next one, is 19 (adding a layer of 12 over the 7)......I don't have that many strains handy.

The point is the tubes are nearly ideal IMO for the job. And cheap. I like cheap.

I want to thank each and every one of you who took part on the last 63 thread pages. Only after I read through each and every one of them, I understood what a great thing I have in my hands.

This is the first time I'm veporizing and it was a bit frustrating at the begining. Thanks to your tips I got to know how to deal with my vapman.

And big thanks to @vapman for a great piece of work!

You chose VM and a first vape? Talk about a tough row to hoe......the man knows no fear!

Congrats on hanging in there to final victory. You next vape should be 'eyes closed easy'. While VM is one of the most reliable units out there, IMO a guy needs a backup of some sort as an alternative to blazing if nothing else. I think it's nice to get a vape that performs well on it's own, so you can enjoy using it from time to time. Perhaps a Solo? Or MFLB? Lots of other great vapes to choose from these days.

I really wanted to stop smoking joints.
It came to the point that I actually hated it.

So I read some reviews and just decided to choose one that have positive reviews and fits my budget.

vapman was there.

true luck.

and my cat is very curious with the egg case..

Lucky pick IMO ;)

Lucky, perhaps, but IMO a very difficult 'first vape' to learn on. I would never recommend one in that role without serious support.

Without the resource of this Forum IMO a newbie is up against it with that choice. A vape with better inherent heat control is a much better recommendation.

That is I see VM as a tool for more experienced folks?

Kudos to the OP, IMO he had a taller hill to climb than most of us had.

I'm of a different mind in that I've got to believe The VM is a great choice for a first vape since I now Know 3 people who went ahead and ordered one as their first. But then again that was after sitting using mine first, even though all 3 still smoke now there's Hope.

I lurked around FC on and off for a few years and could never get over laughing when people would say vapes like the VG or MFLB(vg my first vape, mf came a year later) had such a difficult "learning curve" when I shared both with countless people with little to no trouble at all.

The Vapman is so simple as long as you follow the instructions provided by Rene that I can't see not having a great vaping experience from the very First session, and from there it only gets better.

I know I'm giving a couple kits for X-Mas gifts that'll be "First Vapes".

Not to confuse following first person instructions with 'learning curve'. Having a guide can make getting down a long and twisted path easy. IMO a whole other thing.

If you check back in this thread, you'll find lots of folks that had their share of troubles getting the VM going. Many fairly seasoned, saying things like 'this doesn't work nearly as well as my XXX'. Most of them came around with due support. While that might not be your and my experience, to me it's obvious to me it's a common enough problem to make avoiding it a good idea.

Helping guys buy vapes just like the one I just taught them to use is far removed from recommending a random blazer buy a VM, lighter, fuel and have at it. My hat's off to guys that can do that 'cold', even with this Forum backing them up. It takes faith and persistence that being shown eliminates I think? Not knowing what to expect from vapor makes it harder still to sort out.

Then again, they tell me it's difference of opinion that makes horse races........

Thanks.

after the initial euphoria i hit a wall in the quest for mastering the vapman. :) i get slightly medicated, while the vapor production is almost invisible. i assume, i'm doing something wrong. i need that "holy fuck moment" @steama mentioned. but i'm willing to learn. :) how scorched do the "seasoned" basic vapmans actually look? i'm so affraid to burn this baby. :)

Hmmmm i think you need to play around with the heat. Increase your heating time by a few seconds.

I agree with OF on this. It can be hard not to candy-coat my experience with how I feel about the vapman now. I sold my mflb to get a vapman and when I first got the vapman I followed the directions successfully but definitely was not in love. In fact I put the vapman on the shelf for about a month before even picking it up again not knowing what to think about it. I just took me awhile to have that holy fuck moment and I was not a novice vaper at this point. When that holy fuck moment happened the vapman became my most used vape.

I would classify the vapman as an intermediate skill level vape.

LOL....that is too funny. I bought my vapman around the same time as i got my FF...it immediately went to the shelf...few months later i took it down and started playing with it. I still have my vapman but i sold my firefly!!! I think at the time i was disappointed cause there were no bells and whistley with the vapman. Then i matured and said fuck the bells and whistles just give me mah vapman.
